No answer "but" the ans machine says THEY'RE OPEN TILL 7PM. ok. Great. ... I drive an hour in traffic and arrive by 5:30p. THEY ARE CLOSED. I'm then told that they now ONLY see pets BY APPOINTMENT. which is fine. So, I then ask WHY the clinic is CLOSED at 5:30 when the ans machine says open till 7pm. I'm told "oh they have all different hours". (nothing set in stone) ‍ THEN I'm told "IF THERE ARE NO APPOINTMENTS they just "GO HOME"!! "They went home at 4p". WTF?! THAT is UNACCEPTABLE. HOW THE F*** do you just close the doors if there's no appointments by 3 or 4pm?? So, if a dog gets sick after 3 or 4 & they don't have any later appointments, u can't MAKE an appointment 'cause they f***ing CLOSED?!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS & INFURIATING. ** SEEMS LIKE VETCO DONT GIVE A F*CK about pets !!!

I keep calling and say please can you see her, she says bring her in and we'll do a chest Xray. I get to the office and not allowed in because of covid. An assistant comes to the lot to get my dog. A few minutes later I get a call that my dog crashed and she was doing cpr on her. My dog died, without me! She must have been so scared but then both my son and myself were allowed inside to see her and still get an over $200 xray charge for a dog that just died. Disgusted is not the word. He has always shown…read moreup to vet appointments trembling with nerves, but walked right into this clinic wagging his tail. I can't explain why, but was thrilled to see it! The office doesn't look like a "typical" sterile clinic. Instead, it is focused on making the pet less anxious by having treats near the door (so they smell them upon entry), give exams on the floor when possible (instead of making them sit on a metal table), use non-contact thermometers vs rectal (unless the pet is sick or the temp comes back high), and when the pet IS placed on the table (depending on their size for vaccines/blood draw, etc) the table is covered with a soft pad to prevent sliding/feeling cold etc. Our overall bill for a 6 year old dog (including fecal test, heartworm, and four vaccines) was slightly below what I was paying previously. It IS NYC, so nothing is inexpensive :) For me, location and the fact that my dog will still walk by the clinic without anxiety is HUGE. We'll go back!

Dr. B., hasn't given up on my 11 yr old Pomeranian, who's a very picky eater. He doesn't want to eat his food for the past week, except for beacon which is not good for him. Dr. B., is a very caring veterinarian and you could see how concerned she is about Sherman. She has spent so much time with him, and ruling out any possible underlying condition, including doing bloodwork and an Abdominal Ultrasound, which were all fine. Dr. B., also takes the time to personally follow up with calls to discuss how Sherman is doing. I can't praise Dr. B. enough for being an extraordinary and caring veterinarian, which is hard to find. Despite me telling the vet upfront that my cat was acting weird but also doing things that suggested an ear issue, they only looked at her outer ears before suggesting I do a full set of blood tests. My cat is around 7 years old, so they just gave me the quote for the adult screen and the senior screen and, with no guidance except that the senior screen also involves a thyroid test, said "you choose." Scared for my cat, of course I opted for the one that includes more tests, even though it was much more expensive and they seemed to have no insight into whether it might be a thyroid issue. Only AFTER I'd signed off on the labs and my cat was getting the bloodwork done did a nurse come into the room and suggest I also do an ear cytology to check the inner ear. Why wouldn't the vet have suggested that first?? No surprise that the ear cytology showed she had a yeast infection. What could've cost me $300 or less to diagnose and treat ended up costing me $900+.

We usually bring our dog, Journey (male 10yr Alaskan Husky) to see Dr. Noreen Eskanzi. She is wonderful and loving. She said she has a husky as well which made it even better to care for our little guy. The other staffs Madeline, Liz and Debbie are also amazing. I normally see Madeline at the front handling the phone calls and payment; she would always give rubs and kisses to Journey. Every staff at this clinic are great. **Note: They recently changed their name to 4 Legged Friends (says it on the invoice/receipt) but their website still says Jacobson Veterinary Clinic.** During Covid, they do enforce the social distancing... or rather, they do not let anyone into their building (lobby/examination rooms). All pet owners do not come in during examination (stay outside the clinic or in their cars). They will call you on phone during examination and come out with your pet outside the premise and explain more afterward. Any medications would be handed to you at the door and payment over the phone for contact-less payment. There is a slight wait as the ladies at the desk would have to answer the phone if you are waiting at the door (not an issue). You have to call to say you arrive for your appointment for them to come to the door. I came twice during Covid, once to pick up medication and the second was examination for yearly shots.

Piece of advice--give your cats gabapentin and have many churus ready so they sit still during the treatment!

He was so pleasant to work with that I had no reservations about using him as my vet for the new cat. By the way, my new kitten was (and still is, 6 years later) very ill-tempered but Dr. Grayson was happy to treat him. Fast forward six years later, and amongst several moves, Dr. Grayson is the ONLY VET that I trust. He is kind, professional, extremely knowledgeable and always available. Maybe I'm just one of those crazy dog people that expects a vet, especially if the health of my adoring, sweet, loyal dog is at stake, to be an outwardly affectionate, gentle, other crazy dog person as intent on making their "patients" better as their owners. I never felt comfortable that my dog was handled as just another day's appointment. Maybe I'm expecting too much out of a vet, but in a city this big with so many options, I'm going to keep looking for another animal center who shows they understand how important and precious a pet can be.

Only had 1 not so great experience when we went on a day he was not there and another vet saw my dog bc it was an emergency. Have no plan of going to another vet anytime soon.
