I just received a condolence card which was signed by every member of the staff for my cat Charlie who recently passed away. I'm so glad that this practice has opened . Unlike other vets I used to go too in Hoboken they truly care and always call me back immediately if I have any questions or concerns . They also have parking which is a plus and they routinely care for and cover the costs of homeless animals in need.

What is the cost of vaccines?

I'm not exactly sure if you have a cat or dog . Vaccines are different for both I'm assuming . My cat had a couple exams and two vaccines and I'm not sure what the cost was . It seemed very fair to me .…

The level of care, the courtesy and the professionalism at Riverside North are unmatched by any other place that I've been to, and I've been to quite a few places in the city, including some of the "big names" in feline care. What sold me this time was Dr. Babaev. He is a careful and methodical clinician, but you can also tell by his bedside manner and the time that he spends with you that he also really, really cares. I have a young cat with a very rare condition (bilateral cryptorchidism) who required major surgery. Dr. Babaev carefully and methodically walked me through his decision-making process in putting together a plan of treatment. He listened to my concerns and helped me weigh the pros and cons of each decision. At no point did I feel like I was being upsold, or pressured to spring for unnecessary procedures out of an abundance of caution/concern. My cat received excellent care, is healing up well, and the clinic staff have been available to check in every step of the way, from pre-op through post-op care. I had a great experience with the care coordination for this surgery, and I don't leave many reviews these days, but I felt moved to comment. Highly recommend this place and Dr. Babaev if you are new to the city and have a cat.

Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk attendant and Dr. Aleksandra Scorobogtova was one of the most upsetting I've ever had in a medical office. My very senior dog developed a red, irritated eye with yellow discharge that I felt needed prompt medical attention. Knowing I was running late for my appointment, I tried calling the office three times to let them know, but no one answered. Once I finally got through, I continued calling with updates as I rushed there, letting them know exactly where I was. I was repeatedly told that if I arrived outside the 10-minute grace period, my dog would not be seen. I left my children at camp, ran 10 blocks home, grabbed my dog, and arrived within the office's stated grace period. Despite arriving on time according to their policy, I was told the front desk still needed Dr. Scorobogtova's approval to see me. When I expressed my frustration, the situation escalated, and she ultimately refused to treat my dog. I pleaded to let my dog be seen, even offering to wait as long as necessary. Instead, after waiting about 20 minutes, I was told that Dr. Scorobogtova did not feel comfortable treating my very senior dog despite his red eye and yellow discharge. My options were to come back the following week or take his medical records elsewhere. Before leaving, I tried to have a calm conversation with the front desk employee. I even acknowledged that she was handling the front desk by herself and told her she was doing a good job. My only complaint was how I had been spoken to throughout the interaction. As I left, I sincerely said, "Have a good night." They replied, "You too." I responded, "I doubt I will." At that point, they laughed. I turned around in tears and asked, "How can you laugh at someone who's crying?" I told them they should be ashamed of themselves. That moment was every bit as painful as being turned away with my dog still untreated. I understand that veterinary practices need policies. What I don't understand is refusing care to a long-time client who made every effort to communicate, arrived within the office's stated grace period, and was simply asking for compassion for a senior dog that needed medical attention. I never expected special treatment--only empathy, professionalism, and care for my dog. Instead, I left feeling humiliated, heartbroken, and abandoned by a practice I had trusted for years.

They were sitting right in front of my dog watching her pant. Finally saw the vet. Dr. Bryant was condescending and rude. She insisted that something we talked about her last visit never happened. She wouldn't take the dog back to examine her eye until I acquiesced and agreed that she was wonderful. When I got upset at being called a liar, I told her to not do the optional vaccine that she was trying to sell and to just check my dog's eye as I wouldn't be coming back, she refused. The fact that they were happy to see a dog suffer and were condescending to boot was not the experience I had in mind. So I am looking for another vet. One that puts the animal first. And, yes, as soon as we got back home, the dog ran to her water dish! Edit based on reply: The dog was only provided water after I asked the vet when we finally went into the exam room if there was somewhere nearby that I could buy some as she was suffering. And, of course, it became confrontational after the way I was treated! I care about my dog. She deserves better than to be treated like a dollar sign. C'mon man!

Happily, the dentistry went well and it was $1000 for dentistry where the minimum in Manhattan was $1800. Dr. was caring, staff was nice Recommend and will return

It was hectic with multiple dogs around and my cat started getting fever. Week before that I asked them to repeat the blood for my visit and they refused even though lab work doesn't require Dr only tech, but they said because they injured his leg before that he couldn't step on it they can't take him. So I came back for the Dr risking the health of my pet for a week. We left without a visit even though they knew about urgency of FIP condition, the need of blood test, transfusion or fluids, and no one even gave us a call. Now I'm assuming they just afraid to be sued and kept making me wait on purpose. I would not recommend this place, the receptionist is rude, the techs are incompetent, and the Dr is young, but I was surprised he never even called back. No compassion here, poor animals.
