I've participated in group workout classes led by Joseph over the past two years. He is an excellent instructor. Due to personal circumstances I've had to recently (hopefully temporarily) discontinue classes. Joseph is very knowledgeable about how the body "functions" - Always explaining what muscles are being used during each exercise. I met Joe through group classes at Body Mechanix and I started doing personal training with him through Fitness Mindset maybe six months ago. Joe is very attentive to any problems/injuries you have. I had a shoulder injury that was always bothering me when I worked out. We did rehab for a couple months, and it rarely gives me any problems now. When I got a knee injury or my muscles are right, we do PLENTY of rolling to make sure the knots go away. I told him I'm trying to get into running and we started tibialis work so I wouldn't get shin splits. Joe knows how to take care of you. He emphasizes good posture and technique when exercising which has spilled over into life outside the gym. I'm always adjusting myself when I have a moment to be aware of my body whether it's making sure my knees aren't going in or straightening my spine. During the workout, Joe is very patient with me while I make unenthusiastic faces and noises. He puts up with my attitude with his good sense of humor. Every once in awhile he will throw in something random to keep it interesting like standing on my head or agility work. He makes it a fun experience. Joe is pretty punctual. When he has clients back to back, sometimes I'll start my session a couple minutes late but he makes sure to give me the full hour. When I tell him I need to leave right at the end of my hour, he accommodates it. He's also really flexible when it comes to rescheduling. I'd recommend Joe to anyone. He's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve (aka different ways of torture) to challenge you in a good way. He listens to you and your goals and makes them happen. read more

I've never been worked so hard in my life; and, yet, I've never had as much support as I received here. Nutrition education plays as much a part of physical fitness as the physical activity. I met Joseph about 2 years ago when I started going to his 5AM Body Conditioning class at Body Mechanix. I transitioned into personal training with Joseph because I wanted a more personal focus to improve my strength and conditioning.
