Upon entering my building the guy says he doesn't have a permit, didn't know he needed a permit, and I had to pay him an additional $650 for the permit. I said no. I can't afford that. We argue back and forth and he says he's going to charge me more if he has to leave and come back. Mind you, he already had $1,055 of my deposit so I would have lost that. I relentlessly said an absolutely not. The guy does the job anyway, says "I'm going the extra mile here. Hopefully you'll appreciate it in the end." Claims he's doing me a favor by charging me $50 less. So my $2100 original quote becomes $2675. He claims he didn't remember doing my Neighbors project continues with excuse and excuse why he is owed the extra money for the permit. This is BAD BUSINESS! Do not go to these people. I can't believe someone would do this and with a smile on their face. Pitiful. **Long story short-this business did not have the proper permit and then charged me an additional $565 for their own mistake. Period. Words and lengthy replies are merely word salad to try to justify the main problem; charging me $565 for your mistake. **Update: This guy has relentlessly called, messaged, and sent me lengthy voice notes stating how he "hopes he never has to work with a client like me again." Not only did I pay for this guys mistake but now I'm reminded of how his inappropriate male toxicity has been implemented to intimidate his clients in to paying for his unethical business practices.

I contacted Mr. Quiroz at 305-308-6126 to service my sprinkler system that had not been used (not necessary broken) in several years. I allowed him to enter my backyard while I was not at home. Mr. Quiroz showed up in a professional looking work van (see picture), which had license number CFC 1428219 affixed. To my surprise, 30 minutes or so later he called me and stated that the system was working perfectly and that he had checked, replaced and/or adjusted all the sprinkler heads, and that the pump and rain sensor were working. He sent me a video and sure enough the system appeared to be working. He was in a rush to leave and wanted me to Zelle him $400. I had a weird feeling so I insisted that he waited for me to verify the work. While there, it appeared that the system was working so I Zelled him the money. When I arrived home on the same day at 5:00pm, the system was not working. I called him and he told me that I needed another part with an additional cost. I told him that he did not tell me that earlier and he said, well I "just resolved the issue". I told him that I did not need it resolved, I needed the system fixed. He told me that I can put a water hose to the pump and it would work. I told him that I was going to file a complaint, and the next day he came and changed a part and left. Then the timer was not working. I found this odd since it was "working" the day before. I decided not to continue dealing with Mr. Quiroz. I had to hire another company which I researched on myfloridalicense.com. I recommend that you do the same prior to hiring any plumbers, including for sprinkler service. The new company told me that none of the sprinklers heads had clean filters and 3 of them were damaged. Also, the rain sensor was not working.
