Delicious

We visited this cute location in downtown Tempe on Friday afternoon. The gal working the cashier was very nice and enthusiastic about their products. We purchased a yummy mocha and a loaf of the multigrain bread. It's a very nice loaf of bread. We learned they named their sourdough starter Henrietta. If you want to get into sourdough bread, baking, they will sell you some starter. The only issue here, as in most downtown areas, is parking. There are Pay parking garages. We lucked out and found parking on the street. We used the app to pay $1.20 for 30 minutes.

Cute shop with delicious pastries and coffee. The service is standard, nothing special. Small seating area, not a place to stay for long.

Vanilla latte and chocolate strawberry croissant

Cute small bakery on mill! The employees were super sweet! Their coffee was pretty good but more on like milky side. Ham and cheese croissant was my favorite.

Stumbled by during a work conference. Looked cute from outside. I was surprised they didn't offer many lunch options; just pizzas premade. I got a lemon curd danish and a rosemary croissant for the road. When I ate my pastries, I was surprised to find they were a bit dry and underwhelming. Felt almost like a day-old pastry; not stale or inedible, but definitely not fresh or flaky, either. The staff had mentioned this location recently opened, but there were others in Phoenix.

Genovese (veggie) slice

Try the pizza slice! Tried the Genovese ( veggie). So yummy! Been here a few times and the service has been very nice and helpful. Not the quickest though so you may need to wait a little since I've only ever seen one person work the front at a time. Support local and grab some lovely sourdough while grabbing your morning coffee. They even have English muffins and hamburger buns. Noticed later on the website they offer a great lunch special for a slice, drink and a cookie for $12. I didn't ask or notice when in the shop. Sounds like a great deal though. The cookies look amazing. Next visit.

The chocolate croissant has lots of chocolate!

Outstanding! We came for an early morning nosh, and we were delighted with our almond and chocolate croissants. The amount of rich chocolate in the croissant is way above average. Very friendly counter service. Cozy sitting area with a view of life on South Mill Avenue.

Pain au chocolat and sprouted multigrain

Proof is amazing and I was so excited to learn they were opening a location in Tempe! I came for their grand opening and they had a good crowd and handled it well. I got a pain au chocolat and a loaf of sprouted multigrain. The pastry was so good - I devoured it right away! The bread was nice and hearty with good flavor and texture! It's a small store with just a few tables to sit at.

All I can say is that I got the best baguette I have ever eaten, exactly what I look for--crispy crust, chewy texture and excellent flavor.

It has a few cozy tables inside and some seating outside, plus a nice little touch with board games available, which adds to the relaxed, welcoming vibe.

I was so excited because I heard about this place a long time ago and had yet to visit. It's fairly small inside with a small glass case on the side with cookies and one main one filled with both sweet and savory options. There were also a few loaves of bread on the counter. Everything looked great, but it was a such a warm day so my mom and I opted for something light. The Coffee Cake was indeed as light and airy as it looked. The cake layers tasted like a sponge cake with slightly dry edges (a little over-baked). I think the espresso layers were mousse and not too sweet. It was topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean that was tasty as well. Overall it was a nice afternoon treat. I would like to go back sometime and try their Japanese cheesecake, and their raisin bread loaf too.

I stumbled upon this cute little bakery while omw to Angie's Lobster. Decided to stop in to check…read moreout what they had. They offer a variety of cakes by the slice, specialty breads, and other pastries. I was tempted to get a slice of cake, but I was able to fight off the craving, lol. You can also order a whole cake, but I would assume you'd have to place that order in advance. Prices seem fair, the service is fast and friendly, and the shop is clean. They don't have any tables inside, so it's a grab-and-go kind of place. It's located in a corner strip mall with decent parking. I would come back again, and when I do, I'm getting a slice of cheesecake!! =)
