    Stacked Turkey
    Tony S.

I don't know if this makes any sense, but La Grande Orange was probably one of the most comfortable sandwich experiences I've ever had. Is it a grocery store? Is it a deli? Is it a wifi working spot? Oh heck, it's all the things! Maybe it was because everyone seemed so helpful and friendly the minute I walked in, that my cynical Boston disposition just wasn't used to it. But I liked it! I wish I'd been more hungry, for no other reason other than to hang out longer that I needed to. The stacked turkey came highly recommended by several staff members, and while I'm actually kind of sick of turkey, decided to try it anyway. Glad I did. Clearly, I've been doing something wrong at home, because whatever they served here, maybe it was the mustard with havarti, it was delish. I tried a seasonal creamsicle matcha, which was the perfect match to a perfect sandwich. I'm new to Arizona, and I'm glad I found a go-to place to be a regular at.

Nestled in such a cute neighborhood, LGO is the perfect place for a casual dinner or lunch followed by a sweet scoop of gelato for dessert! It's a decent happy hour but I was mainly surprised that we got to step away from the table after dinner to taste the gelato before making a decision, what a wonderful thing for an indecisive person like me. Our waitress did an excellent job at checking in on us and giving us recommendations. The artichoke was so delicious, and we must have made it look good because the table next to us decided to order it as well! Only down side was parking was a bit sparse as they share the lot w postinos, but after a couple circles around the lot, we were able to find a spot. We will be back soon!

Had seen this place all over social media and decided to check it out. Parking lot is very small, I came around 10am on a Wednesday and I was able to snag a parking spot but when I left a little bit later, it was hectic as people kept driving in but there were no open spots. Once inside, it was all decorated festive for the holiday season. They have so SO much to look at from souvenirs, gifts, candles, slippers, ready to grab food, wine, etc. It is extremely small and tight inside the store though. Very hard to walk around and look around, as people are also waiting in lines to order food/pastries from one side, and then coffee from the other side. The people this place attracts, are also quite rude and have no manners which wasn't the best. All of the employees I interacted with were very nice and helpful. The checkout for the souvenirs is in the wine section, which was nice but still cramped. Felt very overstimulated the entire time. Bought a bunch of items for Christmas gifts though. Decided to try a coffee before I left and the barista was pleasant. They were out of their 'sugar cookie' latte so I ordered the 'peppermint bark' latte with oat milk and unfortunately for me, it tasted horrible. Not sure if it was how it's made, the syrup, or the in house made nut milk. It didn't have much flavor and tasted very bitter and unpleasant. Overall, cute idea but definitely needs to be moved into a bigger store/spot. Also, needs better coffee. Would only come back maybe once a year.

Such a cute little store, it is a little pricey BUT all the ingredients are fresh. I also love how they always have the cutest souvenirs & trinkets. Whenever I'm here I always pick up something small. I haven't had a chance to try their pizza but I will be back! I appreciate how everyone is so friendly, i will say though if you enjoy pretty strong coffee, or possibly just consume too much caffeine (like me) I wouldn't recommend getting a coffee here. I ordered an iced vanilla latte & it tasted off, the syrup left a lingering after taste

WOW! SO much going on! This is a pizza/sandwich/salad/dessert/bakery/coffee/wine/alcoholic beverage/fashion/novelty spot! The decor is just incredible the way it's set up. The bathrooms are clean and cool. The staff is so attentive and nice The stuff they offer to eat, drink, and buy is out of control! I went here for a lunch meeting with my partner and our vendor and the place is just so cool. Make a trip here to check it out but if you want pizza and wings (which I'm told are very good) don't go before 4pm during the week but on friday, Saturday, Sunday, and maybe Thursday, they fire up the ovens at 11am

Love this place so much! I just wish they would open more locations! Their kale salad is amazing. Best red velvet cake ever! My all time fav is their sea salt chocolate chip cookies!

Such a Phoenix staple! This place holds so much nostalgia for me as I grew up coming here with my dad after hiking Camelback, a tradition I carry on to this day. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the menu items here, but this time I opted for the open face chicken salad sandwich -- so delicious! And you can't come here and not try the famous salted chocolate chip cookie!

Tuna Salad Sandwich (comes with lettuce, cucumber, and apple slices).

This place has it all. Literally! If you are looking for a cafe style place that has a lot of variation in food options, baked goods, and drinks. That also has a great selection of wines and picnic basket staples. That also has some rather cute shopping options of gifts for others (or yourself). This is the place!!! There is a refrigerator section that allows you to grab food to go. The same food you can order at the counter to have made fresh and eat there. I had the tuna sandwich for lunch then grabbed the Thai chicken salad to have for dinner later. The portions are large. Their fun creations of what sounds like typical you can make at home food make this place extra special. The counter staff were patient for us first time visitors and the super sweet girl bussing tables was just that, super sweet! This will be a heavy rotation when I'm in the Phoenix area.

Evil Princess Thai Chicken Salad, meh. Dressing is pure peanut oil

Ambience is really lively and fun, plus there is a big restaurant seating space behind the little shop. However the music is *loud*- we're talking out to the club loud, so if you're bringing sleepy kiddos keep that in mind! I got the Thai chicken salad- I'd give it a 5/10. All of their salads are prepackaged. The salad was fine, nothing special. I particularly did not enjoy the dressing :/ it was pretty much just peanut oil with some spices. All in all an oily and slightly flavorless salad. Maybe 5/10 is generous haha My husband got the Gladiator pizza and that was very good! I had a bite of the crust and it was great really crispy and fresh. The wait for the pizza was a little longer than we expected though so be prepared! They said about 20 minutes but I think it took a tad longer.

I had the tuna sandwich it had yellow raisins , dill, celery, relish mix in also sliced red apples on top with cucumber , tomato, pickle on the side. Taste like Albicore tuna. Service very nice and knowledgeable nice place for first date or just to sit with guest and chat inside or out.

Can you get delivery of large order pizza through Door Dash?

Yes you can not a problem at all.

Do you have any dog friendly areas to eat?

Yes we have tables in the front and a patio on both sides LGO that you can eat at.

Do you offer large order pickups? Or catering delivery?

We offer large order pick ups no deliveries tho. Just call LGO and we can handle with 24 hour notice. Thanks for reaching out

    Do they take reservations?

    Not that kind of place

Where can I find nutritional facts for the Thai Salad?

Do they have groceries like fruit, veggies? Or is it just a restaurant/bakery?

It's a restaurant/bakery with a small shop. The shop has gifts, chocolates and candies, wine, books, etc. no fruit or veg or regular groceries.

    Do they take Apple Pay?

    No they do not

Can you make reservations for breakfast here? Or is it a first come first serve kind of place? Having never been I am a bit confused if it's a grocery store or a restaurant?

Yes you can! They even have curb side delivery if you call in orders to be picked up. But they do have breakfast lunch available and it's like a small store inside with all kinds of knickknacks to sell. It gets packed but they keep everything in…

Do you guys have guava cheese rolls?

I have never seen those there

The baristas seemed to know almost everyone who walked through the door, greeting customers by name and catching up with them like old friends. As first-time visitors, we were welcomed just as warmly. For drinks, we ordered a medium vanilla cappuccino and a caramel latte. The cappuccino packs a punch with four shots of espresso, but somehow manages to be both bold and incredibly smooth at the same time. The caramel latte was equally delicious and nicely balanced without being overly sweet. While Lola offers a variety of hot breakfast options, we decided to stick with pastries. The cheese danish was flaky with just the right amount of sweet. The blueberry scone was moist, flavorful, and loaded with blueberry goodness. Between the friendly atmosphere, excellent coffee, and tasty pastries, it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. Lola feels less like a coffee shop and more like a gathering place for the neighborhood.

This year, I've visited after work with coworkers and after work alone to get more work done. Despite the limited parking out front, there is free curbside parking beside and behind the coffee shop adjacent to the nearby businesses and residential area. There is ample space inside with various types of seating and ample charging and free wifi. The front area has window counter space and couches/love seats to lounge. The back area has small tables, large tables, desks with lamps, and a love seat. My only complaint is that this large area gets pretty hot in summer afternoons without adequate AC or fans back here. It was like this last year when I previously attended the evening coffee raves. Both times upon visiting recently in daytime, I ordered the Dark Horse latte, comprised of dark maple syrup, smoked sea salt, espresso, milk. I love this latte because it's sweet but also has depth from the smokiness and saltiness. While I think the coffee is on the pricier side, I'm incredibly satisfied with my drink choice regardless. Overall limited specialty drink menu (which is what I usually care about when exploring coffee shops) but many options in general. Seems like people mostly come here to be on their laptops opposed to socializing here, which I appreciate. This is an incredible spot to work, especially since they close later in the day at 6pm, offer free wifi, ample seating, ample charging.

It is beautiful, spacious, and has two floors! The setting is clearly above your usual brunch spots and the booths offer a more intimate experience. My party and I were privileged to sit in direct view of the open kitchen. We got to see and hear the kitchen staff working together and communicating smoothly. We even heard the "hands" announcements like you see on The Bear TV show! I believe the food here was on par with the West Hollywood location, so points for consistency. Unfortunately, I have the same qualms for flavor for their dishes. I tried the short rib pot stickers, the tortilla soup, and the Bolognese pasta. I would say that the flavors were not especially strong for each dish. I think they each needed a pinch of extra seasoning to really make their flavors pop! Moreover, I tried my girlfriend's Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the cheese had no taste! Nevertheless, the dishes were beautiful. Lastly, I had a bit of an issue with our service. Our server passed by our table multiple times as we tried to flag her down to ask for the check. I think she could have been more attentive especially in the context of this higher-end brunch spot. With all of these factors combined, it's an overall 4/5 for me.
