Years ago when she ran this bar it was the best in town and she would not let this food to be served. I will go the Huckleberry that she owns with two other steller partners and enjoy their food. The cook should check the soup pot on a regular basis to ensure that the chowder is hot and ensure that the fish is at least 135 degrees and let it warm up to over 140 degrees before serving. Jamie if you still own the Top please look into the kitchen and bring back your great menu.

The food is my favorite part. I can have a beer anywhere, but the food is actually pretty on point minus the nachos, sad to say. Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

Honestly, it made everything better. We looked great together and just kept the energy going. I had a few drinks (he's a no-alcohol guy), and we spent about two hours playing games, laughing, and just genuinely enjoying ourselves. It was such a fun time, and I really want to go back. The only downside is it's a bit tough for him since it's a bar setting and he doesn't drink--but the games definitely make it worth it.

We do love pinball, but we might have come along this place randomly. It's been busy the few times we have been, which tend to be weekend afternoons. Lot of machines available, seems like frequent tournaments are going on. According to pinball map they have 24 machines, which is pretty large compared to some places. Not so busy you can't play though, prices are comparable. It doesn't seem too claustrophobic like some places, lots of space to move around. Full bar and friendly service. Places to sit. Definitely check this out if you like pinball. I don't think they have food, but I could be wrong.

I'm finally on a streak on hitting the right stops! What a beautiful place next to the wasteland…read moreof Tacoma. The place is VERY beautiful inside. Most of all.... They have OUTDOOR SEATING!!! Let's start off with the MOCK COCKTAIL the Blueberry Mojito. OMG! It was DELICIOUS!!! It had a lot of flavors. Then came out the Beef Wellingtons. They were shooters. The menu says they typically come out in about 25 minutes. We ordered them anyway. Luckily for us they came out first. They were delicious!!! Nice and hot. The breading was nice and flaky. We will ordering these again! The shrimp cocktail and the salads came out. They were all good. However, my wife noted that her Avocado and Bacon Salad needed more Avocado and Bacon. Last the Garlic Ptarmigan Fries. The garlic level can be considered "Date Level". So, if you are looking for something more garlicky then this is not really for you. Salted Rim Bar and Kitchen was really busy. Especially for a Sunday night. They had a trivia contest going on so it was a little loud. However, with the business of the night they had enough staff to go around. With the staff being plentiful we were not ignored. As for the staff themselves they were all extremely nice and friendly. We will most definitely come back here again!!

Very casual and fun vibe. Drinks are deliciously strong. Food is tasty, i stuck with appetizers while my husband had one of their entrees. I was surprised at how the pretzels did not taste like they were microwaved (like other places) the cheese was so yummy - I dipped my fries in it. Jumbo shrimp lived up to their name. Loved our experience and will be back! Thank you, Melissa

Parkway Tavern checks all the boxes -- great beer selection, delicious food, good music, and a really cool neighborhood atmosphere. It's tucked right into the middle of a residential neighborhood and feels like a true local spot. The French dip was excellent. The roast beef was perfectly grilled, flavorful and tender, and the sandwich was really well done. Bonus - the bathrooms were super clean! Great food, great beer, ambiance, location and music. They have all the Pappy van Winkles as well as most of the Buffalo Trace Antique collection. They only do 2 oz pours (no half pours) but the prices are still more affordable than any other place you'd find on the West Coast. Some downsides is that they don't have glencairn glasses and the place has your typical tavern smells, so you won't get the full isolated whiskey tasting experience. This place is after all a tavern, so most of the focus is on beers and a communal experience. If you're looking to try something rare without wanting to buy the whole bottle though, I think coming here for whiskey is still pretty good.
