They made sure my table was taken care of and answered any questions I had for both the drinks and food menu. My favorites were definitely the jalapeño poppers and the oysters! For drinks I loved the special they had running, strawberry-mint lemon drop, and highly recommend the Banana foster bread pudding desert! Loved how relaxing and calming the atmosphere was. Anyone who has anything bad to say about this place is obviously either stupid, or their head is too far up their own butt to see that this is one of the best places in UP. The staff is phenomenal, the food is way better than the price suggests, and the owners make everyone feel like they are welcome. Parking garage, meter parking until 6pm or so ($2 per hour or something really cheap like that) Outdoor seating, lively atmosphere, amazingly friendly and attentive staff. Very casual and fun vibe. Drinks are deliciously strong. Food is tasty, i stuck with appetizers while my husband had one of their entrees. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The food is phenomenal !! Since I've started going here I've had the Larb, Hawaiian fried rice, Pad kra pao, chicken satay with peanut sauce and the Wellington bites and everything is absolutely delicious. The drinks are amazing as well. My favorite is the blueberry mojito. Their cosmo is second. The star is the banana bread pudding though it is out of this world delicious!! I was dreaming about it the first time I had it. Even though the food and drinks are certainly something to write home about, the best part is the staff. What an extra special Birthday celebration with great friends both old and new. Michelle, Mee Yeong, CC, and Meiko really outdid themselves and took amazing care of us on this special occasion. Can't say enough regarding how much we love coming here! The food is awesome! Tonight we enjoyed a little bit of everything on the menu. Chicken skewers with peanut sause, the weekly special fresh wraps with chicken and pork, jalapeño poppers, the Thai chicken cucumber salad, amazing fries two ways, wings both naked and garlic parm, and the bbq baos! As always, the service was over the top! These ladies were getting after it! This place is a real treasure in UP!! The build out and ambiance is fantastic! Met my friend for her birthday and she recommended this place. It hasn't been open that long and it was very busy. We sat at a table that we put two tables together because they were too small. It worked out for us two. There were reserved tables, so I was happy with what we had since it was going to get crowded at 4-430 already. We parked in the parking garage which is free, and went upstairs and it is pretty easy to find in University Place. Once there, cool ambience- big long bar! And they have the games on so feels fun and sporty. Good spot for happy hour or quick bites with friends. Once it got crowded, hard to hear but the drinks were GREAT! I didn't get photos but I had the old fashioned and espresso martini. We also had the beef Wellington from happy hour which takes 30 minutes so order ahead! And the hummus plate. I was expecting food on par with what you'd get at a quality cocktail bar or restaurant in Tacoma. Instead, it felt more like bland chain restaurant bar food. The fries were limp and soggy, and the salad was very plain, lacking both flavor and presentation. First time ever going here. Had great yelp reviews and was close by.. It is located in the strip mall area next to Whole Foods in University Place.. You will most likely need to park in the garage since there's limited parking in front. Modern restaurant w/ good decor but very noisy. It's really an upscale sports bar. For dinner ordered chicken and steak skewers with peanut sauce, cucumber salad, and rice. The steak skewers were quite spicy but the chicken ones were not & very good, the peanut sauce was excellent and the cucumber salad was very good.. The larb salad was 100% not what I expected. If you look at the menu description it says steak, cucumbers & Romaine lettuce. So I was expecting a traditional American salad with sliced steak, cucumbers and dressing. I know that Larb is a Thai beef dish so I was expecting just to have spicy steak instead it was diced spicy steak in romaine lettuce leaves Therefore a steak lettuce wrap with cucumbers on the side. If I would've known that's what it was, I wouldn't have ordered it. As a large salad, it gets a 4/5 but as a steak salad it gets 1/5. I did speak with the owner Rick, who very nice and he took it off of the bill. Our waitress was very good and apologized profusely for a mistake that wasn't her fault. I was greeted by one of the owners which was amazing. She educated me on all of the specials. I was by myself and decided to sit at the bar top. I was sitting there awkwardly while one of the managers/owners was taking shots with a guest. There were so many employees who walked by me and didn't acknowledge me. Finally the bartender comes over and asks if I need a drink as if I was inconveniencing him, while the owner is still talking to the guy next to me talking about which bars he gets drunk at. Then, two employees come to the bar right next to me who are hosting trivia are cussing up a storm, talking about transgender people and the owner who has not acknowledged me this whole time, gave his coworkers this attention and it was absolutely disgusting. I felt so awkward the whole time I was there. I worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years. My advice, as a local restaurant trying to survive in this world...do better! Hubby nearly licked his Thai dish plate clean, he loved it so much and said it reminded him of authentic dishes he'd enjoyed in Thailand! Highly recommend the Carajillo Old-fashioned, the Cocktail Society, weirdly delicious is the PB&J Cocktail, too. We all had the cocktail special to start which was a Fig based drink. It was delicious, well balanced and not super sweet. They obviously know how to mix a fantastic cocktail. The hummus is above average and the veggies served with it are fresh and crisp. I did have dinner there the first visit and I remember it was good but not memorable. I asked the server if the drink was made correctly and she said oh you need to ask for egg white foam when you order. She took it back to the bar.... I think it was just a misunderstanding but I was eating by myself which I had told the person seating me, I was brought two glasses of water which I thought was odd at first. I had to wait another ~20 minutes before anyone came by and I was asked if I was doing ok, which is when I asked if I could order. I'm assuming they thought I was waiting on a date or got stood up? Kind of threw me off since I just wanted a quickish cocktail and dinner (also took a good while for anyone to get my card) but the servers still had a good attitude and I'll definitely be coming back with a friend next time lol. read more
