Propaganda has got it going on 3rd St! Happy hour from 5-7 pm with free validated parking in Arts District? What's not to love? Great for groups and social. 20% off the wine if you're into that, and a solid happy hour menu with appetizers and pizzas. Service is solid.

When I attend a conference, I love trying new food instead of only the conference fare. We went to the Arts District and the vibe at Propaganda was chill and modern. We had reservations so that was good as they were busy. Decided on the romaine and kale salad and the prosciutto di parma, rucola and parmigiano pizza. The salad had a nice crunch and wasn't swimming in dressing. The light texture of the anchovies-parmigiano sauce complimented the hearty kale and more subtle romaine. The pizza was lovely. The saltiness of the prosciutto was offset by the rucola. The crust was crisp and not doughy which is what I prefer. The entire meal was not overly heavy but filling. The serving size was just right for us. Servers were friendly.

The propaganda is spreading the idea that good wine in 2-3 glasses are essential to goofiness and happiness among the table with the girlies. Yappy and happy in the mix lol Came for dinner here and was introduced to a cute, small and classic touch wine bar. It's paired with blue walls which I thought gave the space an added romance vibe. I ordered a couple rounds of Lambrusco wine and a pizza to avoid the extra booziness. The pizza wasn't too heavy or thick and considerable for 1-2 people to share. The service was quick and kind. I was pleased. If you're looking for that hidden gem wine bar that is kind of tuck away, check this one out! It's worth the idea of good wine being essential to goofiness and happiness.

My friends and I were in the area for dinner and wanted somewhere to catch up. We walked past propaganda wine bar right before their happy hour ended and they were nice enough to serve us with HH prices :) We only got glasses of wine which were good. Ambiance is great, food looked and smelled good, and service was good. We didn't feel rushed even though we just got drinks. I'd visit again to dine in!

This is an old review. We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. He wanted charcuterie & wine & glad we found this hidden gem. The ambiance was small, dim, & had a cozy intimate feel. Service was pleasant & friendly. The wines that were recommended to pair with our meal were excellent. The cheese selections & the charcuterie meat were delicious. The margherita pizza tasted authentic & not oily or heavy at all. I'd definitely come back again.

Service here is amazing, they really take care of you at Propaganda. The owner is so sweet and genuinely caring-- I love seeing him around the space because it adds such a personal touch. Their charcuterie is unmatched. The bread always comes out warm, the butter spreads perfectly, and their selection of meats and tinned fishes is such a treat. I'd also like to highlight their rosemary roasted almonds. So addictive with a glass of wine. Everything here feels thoughtful and elevated without being pretentious. And of course, the wine. The list is fantastic and well curated. There's always something new and interesting to try. The staff is great at making recommendations if you're not sure what to pick.

First time trying here and I thought overall it was a 3/5. They have a nice happy hour with good wine, flights, and food options. For food I ordered the Margherita pizza and kale Caesar salad. The pizza was just a 3/5 for me I think it could have had a much more better flavor, but it wasn't too bad not the worse pizza I've had but not the best. The salad was a 4/5 so it was pretty good and shareable in my opinion. The service could have been better so I give that a 3/5. Our server never came back to our table to check on us or see if we needed anything. We did have another server who kept helping when we needed something, so that was a plus. The ambiance was cool and very cute! And good bar vibes!! Good for wine for sure! I tried the dessert moscato as one of my flights and it was the best one out of the flights. The reds were pretty good but bitter. Overall, it was nice checking this pizza bar/ wine bar out. I wish they had ranch dressing to go with the pizza :) They have street parking and structure where you can park up to two hours for free. Not sure if I will come back but I will say it's worth trying. -Marshay

    Limoncello spritz

For the start of DineLA, we decided to start local and check out Propaganda Wine Bar. Had been by it so maybe times yet had never checked in. So we made a reservation and headed over. We were sat right away inside, though there is a nice outside dining area at the front of the restaurant. Being an Italian wine bar, wine is, of course, at the top of the drink menu, but they also have Spritz available, so I went with a limoncello spritz. Having had limoncello in Italy, I was expecting it to be very limoncello-y as the alcohol content is in the 30% area, but this tasted much more spritz-y, and the limoncello really didn't come through to us. For food, we started out with the squash blossoms and the burratta and focaccia. Unlike normal squash blossoms that are stuffed with ricotta, these are stuffed with mozzarella which was a nice change of pace. They are, however, coated in a heavy batter and fried. So it doesn't come off as your traditional fried squash blossoms, being much heavier but also different with the creamy mozzarella. The other issue with them was they tasted a little burnt, maybe left in the fryer a little too long. The focaccia and burratta, on the other hand, was very nice. The mozzarella tasted like the mozarella in Italy, topped with a pistachio pesto, so that was a nice surprise. The focaccia, on the other hand, was a little more dense and crispy than I was expecting for a focaccia. Still good. Nice appetizer! Entrees consisted of pizzas, which we got one of each. The margherita had a flavorful tomato sauce though the basil felt a little overcooked. Not the best margherita I've ever had but still decent. The four cheese and mushroom pizza was very cheesy, as to be expected with four cheese, and there was ample mushroom present. There was also dill but I could not pick it out anywhere, and that would have been a nice chatting forgot to all the cheese. The last pizza was the spicy salami calabrese tartufato with a black truffle honey on top. The tomato sauce, again, was delicious, and the spicy salami posted with the sweetness of the honey was a great contrast. Probably the best pizza in my opinion. For dessert, there was a vanilla bean gelato and a mini donuts filled with hazelnut with a Nutella dipping sauce. The gelato tasted like basic vanilla bean ice cream, evening the donuts were decent, a little overly sweet with the hazelnut filling and the Nutella dip. Overall, decent Italian restaurant, the spicy salami pizza and the burratta were excellent, would definitely recommend. The squash blossoms are a little heavy, and ours was a little in the burnt end, but with the marinara dipping sauce, they were still tasty. You can go either way with them, get them or don't. Would pass on the desserts though.

I think propaganda wine bar is a solid date night spot in the arts district area, with a robust wine collection and several pizzas to choose from. I wish the food menu had more options, like pastas or steak, but the pizza I have no complaints about the pizza. Mine came with burrata, pistachios and bologna, which paired well with red wine.

This was a hidden gem for us as we've been in the area often and never tried the spot until recently. Service was friendly and quick and the food is such high quality at a great price. My bf and I loved the super vibey and intimate interior but also noticed a lot of people chose to sit outside as well. We also loved that they validate for parking as it made our overall experience amazing. We hope to come back soon to try more of the menu. This time around we ordered the following from their happy hour menu: - 2 cheese plate: we got the gorgonzola paired with fig jam and a Parmesan with balsamic vinegar. We loved both of the selections and how it came out paired for us - truly a match made in heaven as we wouldn't have thought to put each pairing together on our own. The almonds included were also delicious as they were mildly sweet and paired well with the cheeses. After finishing off the bread we still had spare cheese so we ended up using it with the pizza! - Smoked Prosciutto pizza: Love the thin crispy crust and the tomato base which somehow makes the pizza taste surprisingly light. The prosciutto was also delicious and almost tasted like bacon. - Anchovies Crostini: this dish was not my bf's favorite but it was definitely the star for me! I loved the flavors and the textures and thought it all came together so well and was a nice filling appetizer. Would definitely recommend trying if you're a fan of anchovies.

I discovered this place through a friend who invited me for the happy hour which runs from 3-6pm. Seating is nicely set with tables in the front with ample shade or indoors with their cute wine decor. I ordered the spicy salcchicha pizza , their charcuterie board that includes 2 meats, 2 cheeses, almonds, butter, olives. The bread had crunchy sides & soft interior. The propaganda spritz was perfect for the weather. Refreshing with a hint of orange! I also tried their sparkling red wine which came with its small decanter. Overall, an excellent venue with yummy food. The staff were very friendly, open to questions, & checked in with us for food quality. I would love to come back & try other menu items. A nice spot to catch up with friends or go on a date.

Came here for dinner with my friends and it was a small, nice intimate, cozy, and romantic place. I could def see this place being a cute date night spot. I recommend putting in a reservation as the place is small. They have restrooms down the back and we parked in the paid parking garage in the back. They validate parking so it was free. I got the roasted potatoes as an appetizer. It comes with a truffle aioli on top of the potatoes. They were too salty in my opinion. My friends also shared the spicy salame calabrese and added sausages. It was good but we didn't really taste the honey. It wasn't too spicy.

Came a while back during Dine La week for a friend's birthday! My first orange wine experience but not my first time here! I love the pizza every time. Super dark inside but the ambiance is sexy. Would probably be a good second or third date spot.

Glassell Park is a hidden neighborhood in Los Angeles, anyway, and if you don't know what you are looking for, you might zip right past W&S, as we did. Parking is hit and miss, but there are side streets and you will find a space if you give yourself an extra 15 minutes before you come. The neighborhood is mysterious to me, sort of pricey grunge & hipster, iykwim. But! Once you are inside, you are in a completely different world. Bright, clean, genteel, muted, with dappled sunlight dripping through various apertures and alighting in a soft glow here and there on shining metal tables. It's beautiful. Some catchy upbeat contempo-pop music streamed steadily at just the right volume overhead. I found myself resisting the temptation to get up and dance. There are several rooms from which to choose, but I wanted to be seated on the wine-red suede banquette that gave me a view of the whole restaurant and out onto the tree-canopied street. From the time we arrived to the moment we left about an hour later, we were showered with warm smiles and attentive service. And the food? Exquisite. See my pictures. It was hard to choose. One tiny disappointment was they were out of the biscuits that I wanted to start with, but I enjoyed the crusty tender Clark Street bread slices served with warm creamery butter instead. It only got better from there. The two bowls we ordered were filled with fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection, topped with an egg prepared as we requested, i.e., over medium. The portions are modest and it was all so good, we didn't take anything home. We ordered coffee and were brought two tall steaming mugs of Americano, smooth, dark, and delicious. Best of all was the Lemon Lavender cake, a seasonal specialty. Honestly, it might be one of the best, moistest, most flavorful and elegant cakes I have ever had. So fantastic, that I just ordered some lavender buds (if I don't collect them from our garden) to replicate it at home. I don't drink much alcohol but if I did, I would head here for one of their experiences or tastings -- they have a formidable list. Check all this out. And hurry if you want to have Lemon Lavender cake.

The menu seem fairly limited since nothing really stood out to me as especially exciting. I've studied the menu prior before going, and was only looking forward to their burger, but they didn't have it during dinner apparently. While the dishes were descripted very well on the menu, there was no depth in flavors. I'm talking about the pork belly, lamb chops, tartare, Spanish octopus, and especially the seasonal pasta. I'm happy that it wasn't overly salty, but overall the food tasted mediocre and felt a bit basic. I'm only saying this because I could make it myself, at least the lamb, fatty pork belly, and pasta. Portions were also on the small side. Service was a bit slower as it took some time to get seated and receive our food, and one of our dishes was forgotten until we reminded the staff after already finishing most of the meal. On the positive side, we were able to find easy street parking about a block away, and the restaurant itself has a cozy ambiance that would probably be great for a chill dinner with some wine. However, my group left still feeling very hungry and unsatisfied. To be fair, we came in hungry, and the portions and long wait didn't help.

We tried a yellowfin tartare which was great. I got the pasta which was very good, and my wife got the salmon. Salmon was fresh and great, but the broccolini side was ridiculously salty. Service was very good, but my wife wanted the tartare as an entrée and our server, who was honestly lovely, suggested it wasn't large enough for an entrée. Problem was, it was a pretty substantial portion and my wife would have appreciated it as a main. I loved getting to share the tuna, but if she'd have just ordered that, and not added the salmon, I think we both would've appreciated the experience more. A very good wine list, with some really nice wines by the glass - You don't see that often enough - and limited, but interesting beer. Ample parking, 90 minutes free.

It's easy to get lost but it's easy to find after you read the sign and pass Madewell. It was a girls night out experience and we had fun on a Saturday evening. For food I ordered the bread and butter that was Shareable and the tuna ahi with chips that was 3/5. It could have been more flavorful. The bread and butter was 5/5 though. Very hot and soft. For the wine I had the Grenache and sparkling rose that was very good!!! My fav two selections. I highly suggest !! The service was really good and pretty fast! We had Yesi as our server and she was very attentive and good personality!! I would like to have her again!! The ambiance is cute and nice surrounded by beautiful plants you can purchase. I will try Cosette again! The parking was expensive in the lot! They only give 90 min free parking after it's a few every hour or min. I had to pay $20, so just FYI.

I am so happy I finally got to try Dama! I absolutely love Antonia LaFasso so I've been dying to…read moretry one of her restaurants. Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.
