In searching for a supplier, and speaking to many, I found those at Propane West Coast the easiest to talk with. Some seem to interrogate you for name, address etc., before engaging in any discussion regarding service, others take messages and don't return calls. All calls to Brandi and Josh were answered and questions were dealt with in a pleasant and efficient manner. They were the only company to advise that my product from the existing tank could be transferred to the replacement tank. This is a significant issue when there's ten percent or so left. Another benefit with these guys is the attachment of remote monitors to the tank free of charge. I'd had difficulty with gauge malfunction on the prior tank, so the ability to check the tank level on my phone was a major benefit. I would add that the price was competitive for the area and there are no silly added fees stacking up. read more

Blatantly did not provide me correct information to direct questions until the DAY BEFORE scheduled start date, and our family had no propane left!!!!!!!!!! Ultimately I called back and this time a man answered, he to was friendly informative , based on my experience with both via the phone I choose to go with them. I first contacted Propane West on FB messenger to find out pricing, set-up, tank rental & whatnot. The process was so easy & they explained everything to us prior to cancelling our old service. I forgot to mention we live in Sage & thru service our address which plenty of other companies won't. And They come out much quicker than the "big" companies & you can text, msg on messenger or call them & speak with an actual person! I am impressed with the service! This company is on their customer service game & the quality of their equipment is top notch! They have a monitor that is wifi enabled that is connected to the gauge & you can either set up your account online the same day you start service, or if you're like me & are busy & forgetful, they send out reminders when you are getting low! Propane West Coast really goes above and beyond the other company that I had used. The other place quite possibly may of messed up my gauge on the tank (they were the only one who have been around the tank), as PWC discovered immediately that the part had been turned around backwards and thus not reading. So instead of being charged an arm and a leg for tank disassembly, PWC was right in the area to fix it by simply turning it around. So I asked about the price on propane and PWC gave me a very reasonable figure. Now, I had called my prior propane company prior to this, just one day before. I was only able to leave a message and didn't talk to a person. I wasn't back until 10:00 PM that night, so I was unable to return his voicemail. Very early the next morning I got two more voicemails from prior company. I had business down the street to attend to and didn't get the calls. So I am just getting settled and the prior company came to look at my tank, (without confirming his arrival). After looking at the tank for some time, he was talking about ordering parts, possible extensive holiday delay, schedule the repair, figure out cost, etc. PWC showed up a few minutes later. He discovered the problem immediately and Josh corrected the issue in just minutes. Now I wouldn't have to wait weeks and weeks for an unnecessary and costly repair. I wanted to check the price for the refill, so I called my prior company and eventually they answered. we mentioned costs, adding that she couldn't get ahold of their driver and/otherwise might be a few days for a fill. I asked that she please let me know if she got in touch with the driver, then I'd decide. I didn't receive an answer from her. After some time, I received a call from the PWC driver who gave me a prior good price, said he was in fact, on my street doing another property, so I told him to go ahead and fill my tank, learning that PWC would fill it that day for sure. So by the time I finally was able to speak to my prior company, the owner, (I think), very crotchety and irritable said the driver was already halfway to my house. When I said to forget it, (they are the one's who took too long to get back, when they weren't not answering their phone's), he got all mad. Refused to listen to me and became very quarrelsome. I attempted to explain that I had asked to please not just show up"... Instead, to talk with me first, as I hadn't confirmed anything and they couldn't get ahold of the driver. This was to no avail. They obviously never did talk with the driver or outright lied to me, telling me sometime later that she "just now" talked to him (then she abruptly hung up on me). So if they just talked to him, How is it that he could he be halfway back to my house? After getting lambasted by my previous company, even told I didn't return his calls (in LESS than one day!), I am done. I don't work for them. Or maybe they don't realize that the customers make the decisions on what they want. Propane West Coast on the other hand, Nick was very very nice, as are all the girls at the office who work at PWC, especially I believe the owner, Josh, if I'm not mistaken, who had discovered that my gauge was just a simple fix, which I suspect my prior company may of caused in the first place, (they are the only one's who had been around the tank...may/could/possibly moving it incorrectly), but couldn't take the time to fix it by just turning it opposite with some effort. To sum up, Propane West Coast treated me like I am human, put in some effort, answers the phone, reasonable prices, and a pleasure to deal with. read more

I had a very bad experience with Ferrell gas that endangered my safety when they failed for almost a year, to find a leak. After a heavy rain, when the whole side of my home smelled of propane and the faulty valve was stuck open and could not be closed I decided to find another provider. Ferrell kept charging me for a fill and service calls that did not happen because they said the tank was unserviceable. Propane West did an excellent job of replacing the rusted leaking Ferrell tank with a new tank and system monitoring system so I know how much propane is being used and can be alerted to any leaks. I like dealing with a smaller company because the people you talk to on the phone are often the ones that come out to handle any install or problems. In a world of automated phone tree systems and where it is almost impossible to actually speak to anyone who can actually help you, it is refreshing to call and speak to people at Propane West Coast. read more
