After discovering a leak in my roof following a big storm, I called several roofing companies, but Genci responded quickly, scheduled an inspection within 24 hours, and provided a detailed and transparent estimate. He just finished a job in Brooklyn and had the materials to repair my roof and with a great estimate. He worked efficiently, and treated my home with respect--no mess left behind and minimal disruption. What impressed me most was his honesty. He even went above and beyond by inspecting the rest of the roof to ensure everything was secure and sealed properly, without charging extra. The repair was completed faster than expected, and the quality of the work is outstanding. If you're looking for reliable, honest, and skilled roofers, look no further. Alter Phase Roofing Contracting - Powered exhaust roof vent missing cover

The next day I inspected the attic thinking that maybe the solar panels installed two years ago may be the cause. To my surprise and relief the cause was a missing plastic cover that was on the roofs powered exhaust vent. It had blown off during Fridays storm. Luckily my tenant had stored the cover but did know what it was. The vent with the cover on looks like a mushroom. On Sunday, I used Angie 's list to located a Staten Island roofer since my Brooklyn guy had not yet called back and I didn't want to risk another rain storm. The first contractor that called was already talking about replacing the exhaust vent at about $1600 for the job I cut him short since I only wanted a cover replaced. I said this is not looking good . Good bye. About 5 minutes later Marke calls me I got lucky, real lucky in finding a guy that did not try to cheat me. I told him all that was needed was to replace the cover. I texted him the photos of the cover. He stated that he could possibly fix the cover once he takes a look at it. It may be hard to find a replacement. At 10am he arrived at the house with his father. (Once he said that was his father, I knew I had the right guy) He inspected the roof and confirmed he could do a decent repair. He showed me pics of the roof vent. No need to change it. He used metal strips and screws to attach the cover. Then he placed ice/water shield and adhered it to the cover. He took pics again after the repair. The price was very reasonable The honesty was superb The time arrangement could not have been better. I paid cash and he later emailed me an invoice as I had requested. He is a good man who works with his father and since he did not steer me wrong, I decided to give him an excellent review!! I hope you call him if you ever do need a reliable and honest roofer. By the way, my Brooklyn roofer did call me back and confirmed that he would have done the same.

My two car garage took on serious storm damage back in August. I already had an initial quote for repairs, but my insurance company wanted a second one. Not having dealt with an insurance claim I really didn't know where to start. It was important for me to ensure that I find a company that will get the work done, correctly. Based on multiple positive reviews I called to receive an estimate. Laurie was just great. She took her time, answered all my questions and laid out how they will get the repairs done. Then she scheduled our inspection/estimate. Pawel (Paul) came to the house to survey the damages. I was at work and my wife was at home. Pawel took his time, let my wife get me on the phone and answered all our questions. Pawel is a true gentleman and was very respectful of our time and property. I had a detailed estimate within 48 hours of Pawel's departure. Of course, waiting on the insurance company to go through their internal process was a pain, but Laurie maintained contact and did not pressure us in getting them there any sooner. As soon as our settlement was in Laurie was able to get us right onto the schedule. On the day of work the B&B Siding Team showed up at 7:45am with an army. Needed an entire new roof w/ shingles and rafter/structure/soffit and siding repairs. 6.5 hours later and I had a new roof! Weather delayed the gutter team but they again showed up as rescheduled and both Pawel and Laurie kept me apprised every step of the way. I have a full enclosed gutter and Pawel made sure the gutter install team was aware of that. Money well spent! The entire experience was regarding in the end as I have my garage back, better than ever. Peace of mind that the job was done right.

My ~20-year-old roof was sagging in the rear of the building and had a small leak in the front…read more The previous roof was clearly not installed by a professional (the openings were not properly flashed and there were no curbs beneath the skylights causing them to sit flush with the existing roof layer). I had been patching the problem areas myself for the last 10 years to keep it going. It was in good shape in the flat areas, well-draining areas, since a reflective coating was applied many years ago, but the joints and roof openings required annual observation/repair. Since it had many layers from the past (current code requires a limit of two layers, before a full tear-off is needed), was leaking, and noticeably sagging in the rear of the building due to some structural issue, I decided to do a full tear-off and replacement. It was difficult to find a company that did not want to just add another layer, but after talking to many contractors, I obtained 4 quotes for a full tear-off and rebuild. Verrazano's quote was near the lower end of the batch. I was impressed with the fact that during the initial visit, they were the only contractor that did not suggest a new layer. He suggested either an inexpensive spot repair to keep the existing roof going, or a full tear-off and rebuild to address the previous improper installation and the sagging section, which he said was likely due to a broken joist (a common problem in flat roofs on older homes). Two weeks later, they showed up on time (8 am), as planned, and completely removed the old layers and installed foam board insulation and the underlayer in one day. All debris was sent down a conveyor attached to the front of the house. I had concerns about debris removal since during recent roof tear-offs on my block I've seen debris either thrown off the roof into the courtyard below, or carried through the house. I found neither of those options acceptable for my work. On the second day, they added the final roof layer, re-installed two existing skylights, removed a sagging rear fascia and replaced it with a new gutter, properly flashed all openings and completely cleaned up. All of the workers were respectful and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them for any job, large or small.
