They hid it as best they could (just enough to hide the mistake to most folks). At this point I should have let them go and found someone else. My mistake. At the end of the job I noticed that the patio was not close to level and based upon the way they had built it, about 1/4 of the patio would be completely unusable. Angel said it would correct itself over time and not to worry they would come back if it didn't. This was after they had been paid, so I was powerless. It still looks bad, cracks are forming, and is completely unusable. The grade is 4" over 9', but even worse, it is towards the house so when it rains, the water flows towards the house, not away. I've contacted them many times. They said they would fix it. To this date nothing has been done.

Instead of walking away and giving me a refund they just slow played the project, took my money, and ignored all attempts to find a solution. Yes, the company name has changed. No, their advertised physical address is not a real place of business. Yes, you will get very familiar with the Secretary of State website. If you do decide to ignore my advice, make sure you have their business license, contractor license, and a verified mailing address from the start. At least it will save you a few hours a year from now when you start exploring legal options. For the internet record this company was previously known as Jeremiah's Landscape Services, as of August 2023 it is called Southern Landscaping Solutions.

I wasn't sure if we had any wires along the side of the house but while preparing the ground they cut 2 wires (our internet line). Not a huge deal, I didn't know they were there. Got those repaired and stone walkway was installed. Few weeks later my husband says I need to call them back.. some of the stones have collapsed. I've texted and emailed a few times and no response. :( walkway looks pretty good overall but now I need to find someone to repair it.

He gave me a price then added an extra $35 because the grass was high. Which was fine as I believed he would take care of business, do a good, even cut in the front and back and edge, etc... That wasn't the case. The front yard was incredibly patchy. Not a professional job whatsoever. Also a lot of weeds were left uncut as well as if his equipment wasn't cutting efficiently. He left debris laying around and it should have been removed. All of this and I paid $120. It was a half-ass job. I texted later after giving a thorough look to express my concerns about the work. He promptly replied, if I didn't like his work to find another company. Again, unprofessional. If a client isn't satisfied, you address the issue. Simple. Unfortunately, with so many random people trying to have a business these days, you can't expect them all to navigate with integrity. Best to stick with those you've been referred to by others. And seeing these reviews here speaking about his lack of professionalism, frankly I'm not surprised.

If I was reviewing the work product alone I would increase my score to maybe 3-4 stars - the…read moregeneral design was beautiful and almost represented what we wanted. There were, however, some avoidable flaws that we now have to live with forever, in addition to repairs and issues with the owner so all together that deserves the lowest rating to serve as a warning. For context, this was a $300k Pool Project (overall) with over $200k of that going to OLG. OLG subs out the pool construction to a pool builder which is fine but he doesnt communicate or coordinate well with anyone which is where the problems come in. The pool contractor never reviewed the design that OLG came up with so we got stuck with a hot tub that was too big and a pool that was too small (both things we asked about before digging and were dismissed), no lighting under/inside the waterfall and a 6" slope on our patio which means our lounge chairs now lay at a reverse angle when flat which essentially means we can't lay them flat - all disappointing details that we have to live with. Additionally, we suffered through repairing a major leak twice just a few weeks after we finally opened the pool. I might add that we had to point out that we thought we had a leak. The grotto/waterfall had not been waterproofed properly - collaboration with the pool contractor could have avoided this but the owner of OLG thinks he already knows everything so he's not likely to collaborate. The first repair wasn't sufficient and so a second effort was needed. After more than a yearlong process, we lost much of the first summer and had to cancel two events at our home due to the leaks and having to drain the pool. We also asked to have lights added under the grotto/waterfall and that has been a nightmare that never ends and they finally told us they were done and wouldn't come back, even though the last installation of replacements (that we hope will last this time) we're not installed properly. We were overly patient with their process to replace the bad lights and now that puts us outside their warranty period so we are on our own. I understand they are tired of coming back and want to move on but it's not our fault that their initial workaround didn't hold up (or that we had leaks, etc.) Were it not for the arrogant and condescending attitude of the owner, we would have easily gotten over honest mistakes but anyone looking to hire OLG should simply be aware that while the owner presents himself as being a very organized and professional businessman, which does show well initially compared to many contractors, there is an arrogant and condescending underside to his professionalism and I found that came out rather quickly. And once it did, he wrote us off. Thankfully the foreman at the time was a great person and very competent (he has since left the company) so we were always able to work well with the on-site team. The owner never talked to us again and never even visited the completed job site to walk through the final outcome with us. This spoke volumes to us in the end. He missed out on an extra $80k in landscaping as we had originally planned to implement his design for the front/side yards and our front gate area. I was not willing to give him any more business at the end of the pool job. Unfortunately you need to consider the owner and his personality as part of your overall consideration when choosing a landscape or pool company. I'm sure there are customers who have had a good experience and for the right (landscaping only) job you might get out without any problems, but based on our overall experience, I would NOT recommend OLG at all, and especially not if you are building a pool. My project included planting sod in my backyard, building a grill station, a patio, landing deck, two raised garden beds, installing a gravel driveway, a privacy fence, and planting native plants around my front and side yards. The project manager (Ray) took the time to understand what I wanted and worked with me to come up with a creative design that fit my budget. They completed the project pretty much on schedule and with no surprises on the cost. It was not cheap but everything looked great. It has been a year and I am generally still pleased with the quality of the work. I have lost a few plants which they would not replace without an extra charge but everything still looks good. I would use them again.

The corrugated pipe is already filled with dirt not draining which means if I had decided to dig up a section to check on it why that area of yard seem to flood after all hurricane rains. I would be having to the wall rebuild again very soon. The end work shows a lack of pride in what they do. Regeeting selecting them for my repair/replacement work to my retainer wall. Sloppy concentrate work. Exposed rebar. NOT STRAIGHT in putting my fence back in place.

I requested service for a brand new house build that I purchased in 6/2024. There were 3 French…read moredrains in the backyard placed during the build. On the first rain, the entire backyard was flooded and the drains were full of water and not flowing. GA-W came to assess the problem including the gutter downspouts, all the drains and the front yard. He determined that the slope used for the drainage lines were inadequate and ultimately not draining at all. He gave me a quote that seemed fair from what I had heard from other services. The job was completed exactly as laid out with installation of new Drains, new drain lines that were larger (4" to 6") and were dug deep enough to provide an appropriate slope for runoff all the way to the street in the front yard. Showed me before completion of the job the water draining well through the drain system to the road. Even filled in a large hole in the front yard leftover from the original build with additional dirt. All the grass was replaced in such a way that I could not even tell they had dug a 4 foot trench from the back to the front. They cleaned up the entire yard of dirt and debris. Even asked that I run the sprinklers to ensure no damage was done to the sprinkler system (something I have experienced 3 times with other services in the past damaging my sprinkler system with fence installation and other digs). The job was performed exactly as planned from the original quote, promptly, with very polite staff, and I would highly recommend for anyone with this particular issue.
