Back around 2019 I took a Honda manual 5 speed transmission in for repair. All Trans found the…read moreproblem to be a worn out input shaft bearing, and the transmission was repaired for a reasonable price. Several thousand miles later, I discovered that the transmission had been leaking fluid, so I replaced the axle seals (relative simple procedure) hoping that would stop the leak. Early last week the car refused to shift into reverse, and I found that the fluid was once again low. Refilling the fluid made no difference, so I pulled the transmission - and this time, disassembled it myself. I found the problem to be that a plastic "oil gutter" had fallen to the bottom of the transmission, and fouled the shift forks. During assembly, the "oil gutter" is supposed to be bonded in place. preventing it from later coming loose. Also, it appears that the fluid had been leaking past the input shaft seal; Honda's shop manual instructs the installer to wrap tape around the input shaft spline *before* pushing the input shaft through the seal, to avoid damaging the seal lip. I am pretty sure that this precaution was not taken by All Trans. To summarize, back in 2019 I removed a manual transmission and took it to All Trans for expert repair. I have since discovered that two assembly errors caused me to have to pull the transmission again (ugh!), and fix it myself this time.

I took my 2013 Toyota Tacoma to get the control arms replacement assessed and repaired. The first…read moretime I initially took it, they kept the truck for three days without notifying me that the bolts were not able to be removed. So when I initially went to pick up the truck, I was told they could not complete the repair. Again, this was after three days of not calling me or messaging me with any updates at all regarding this additional issue with the repair. While I did get $100 off (something I guess), I had to bring it back after seeing if the bolts could be loosened by the oil they sprayed on them and the heat of driving it around for several days. When they finally notified me that the repairs were complete, I asked if they were able to remove the bolts. They mentioned that they were not and that they had to cut them and remove them (at additional charge). While we had discussed the potential of this happening, I let them know that I had never had a mechanic work on any of my vehicles and do extra work without first calling to notify me and ask if they can proceed. After this whole mess, the Saturday after it was repaired, I started hearing very loud metal on metal sounds occurring when I was accelerating and breaking. While I tried to call, I realized they were closed on Saturdays and I didn't feel this was something that could wait with how bad the sound was. I decided to make a difficult decision to take it to Toyota to get it inspected. They eventually got it looked at ($200 later) and told me it had to do with the backing plate rubbing up against the rotor. All in all, just horrible customer service overall with the lack of communication around additional repairs, causing another issue in the repair, and then just overall not taking responsibility for an additional issue that they caused. Will not be taking a vehicle back to this shop again and would recommend that anyone considering this place think twice before doing so.

I needed my car so I took my vehicle to Easley Transmission who found several issues with the transmission, including a pin that had come loose in the transmission. Easley Transmission rebuilt my transmission for $4400 (highly recommend).

Jay seemed to be super kind and re-assuring on the phone & gave off a (FALSE) sense of trust. Dropped the van off on Friday (8/07), he said it would be done on Tuesday (8/11). Tuesday rolls around, and Jay says that he now needs to replace the radiator. Wednesday, he claims that he spent hours at the Spartanburg Dodge dealership waiting for the radiator to get in, and wouldn't get time to finish the repairs. Thursday, he finally lets me know that its completed. Little did I know, this would be the start of the issues I would face 300 MILES into my drive home, I can feel the transmission slipping once again. I included pictures of the invoice he sent me: clearly stating that he was installing a brand new transmission with a factory warranty. Next picture is of the transmission that was actually installed by Jay. The dealership I brought it to advised there is absolutely no way that Jay used a new transmission. Dealership pointed out multiple missing bolts on the transmission as well as a massive leak of trans fluid. This wasn't even a rebuilt transmission - dealership advised that JAY LIKELY TOOK A TRANSMISSION FROM A JUNK YARD & CHARGED ME FOR A NEW ONE. Wow. Doing some research, we called EVERY dodge dealership within 2 hours of Greenville to see if Jay even stepped foot in a dealership for these parts. My wife found that EVERY DEALERSHIP HAS REFUSED TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY!!! HE HAS NO WAY TO GET GENUINE, NEW PARTS. When trying to get ahold of Jay, he never answered, nor returned any of my calls. I had 2 numbers for Jay - one was his personal cell, the other was a shop number found here on Google. Jay ended up turning both phones off (or blocking me) and disconnected his voicemail so that I had no chance of contacting him. THIS IS A DIRECT MESSAGE TO YOU JAY - BEFORE YOU COMMENT, YES I CALLED YOU PROBABLY 50X - don't come replying here saying that "it disturbs your business" maybe you should own up to YOUR scummy/scammy behavior and STOP FUCKING PEOPLE OVER.
