I hate leaving bad reviews but last night I had a bad experience... I got a pedicure and a manicure with acrylics done and was charged $160 before tip. I tipped each girl $15. I asked for heart designs on my French nails and when I asked them to fix the hearts that were done poorly they said no they're fine. The pedicure came out nicely but it was $80. I got French with one heart. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was in shock. I was too anxious to dispute the charges but if you're looking for somewhere that will take care of you and get your moneys worth this is not the place. read more

Came in for a full set and pedicure, but the look of the full set just wasn't for me (no fault of the tech, I usually don't get full set's so I just didn't like having them on but anyways she was super professional and kind per usual). What truly blew me away was how the owner handled it--so kind and understanding! They removed the nails completely pain-free and even gifted me a certificate for my favorite service (hello, spa pedicure ). You can really tell they care about their clients here. I have been to this shop several times over the years, and I have had mixed experiences, but the one I had the other day made me write this. I came in for a pedicure and was asked twice, "No manicure?" So, I said okay to the manicure. The guy that did it was pretty jovial and nice. The pedicure was okay - about what I expected. Before polishing my nails during the manicure, he asked me to pay. I paid the bill, but there was no option to write in a tip when using a credit card. I only had $10 in cash on me, which was about $3 short of a 20% tip. Still, a tip is a tip, and no one is obligated to leave one. Once the guy realized he didn't get a full 20%, his entire demeanor changed. He slapped the polish onto my nails and was clearly peeved. I would have gone out and gotten more cash for him, but after the way he acted I decided against it. I won't go back. read more

The only reason for 2 stars is because the shop is beautiful with great air quality control. No strong chemical smells. I chose this shop because it is in Providence Village and appears to be a high end shop. Wrong! Pedicure: Take a look. Polish covers most of the cuticles. Tips of nails not swiped with color so they are white. The are a mess up close. Dip Powder: I usually polish my own nails because I am retired and live on a fixed income. I decided to splurge and get the dip because I'm packing this afternoon to go to my mom's funeral. I wanted a nice look that dries quickly and lasts a couple of weeks. More than one of my cuticles is raw (one finger shown below) for the tools used to finish the dip. The index finger on my left hand is filed at an angle different from the rest. (shown below) I left the shop with ragged cuticles. Lastly, the nail technician was rude. I live in China for 3 years so I understand culture differences in Asia but there was literally no conversation. She pushed my hands around and tsked at me when I didn't do what she wanted. It should have been obvious that I don't know the process since I came in with natural nails. So $90 later and a $7 tip (should not have given), I'm disappointed and will not go back to this shop. They are overpriced and slightly rude. I had the worst pedicure yesterday. Literally lasted maybe 10 min she put the wrong color on and did the bare minimum. However, other customers that they knew sat for at least 25 mins longer than I did for a pedicure. Also my manicure is a mess. I'm disappointed as I have been here before but each time it is a disappointment. $205 dollars later plus $60 in tips because they had different people do manicure and pedicure on myself and my daughter. The man who did my toe nails BARELY gave me a massage, and I looked over at the other girl who was getting a very thorough one. He just seemed like he was rushing the whole time and my nails look like it. I made sure I was there when they opened so I didn't have to run into this problem. I must say I am highly displeased with the service I received here & I wish I could give this place a 0 rating. Where do I even begin...For starters I walk in & I'm the only customer there & thought to myself "great! I'm going to be taken care of right away for my Mani & Pedi." Well that wasn't the case. I was told to pick my color quickly & the worker who was going to do my service kept pushing me to pick more quickly even though I was the only customer there??? I'm sorry that I can't take my time to find the exact color I'm looking for, BUT INSTEAD PICK IT IN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES OF MY ARRIVAL... Once I got my color she started my Pedi & it was fine but felt very rushed & she didn't even clean up the sides of my toes to get the access polish off my skin... NEXT onto the manicure, this is where I had the worst service given! I asked for Dip & the worker started right away without cleaning up the sides of my nails where I usually get bad hangnails. She puts the dip on right away but then smears it all over my fingers & then tries to pry out the residue with her cuticle cutters & cut me 3 times on 2 different fingers. My wounds were burning the entire time & to finish it off she puts one topcoat of shellac & puts me in the UV ray holders & my fingers were on fire from the cuts & one of the holders wasn't working properly (kept flickering on and off). Best part is that a day later, that top coat of shellac is starting to peel so now I have half shiny half Matté finish looking nails that look disgusting. Okay. I am not one for leaving bad reviews but I just had the worst manicure of my life (and I've had some pretty subpar ones in the past.) I've been here before and had varied experiences but usually ~ o k a y ~ enough. I mostly just wanted to get my nails shaped and cuticles trimmed so I just got regular polish but this dude like.. omg. He did such a bad job. My nails were finally a little bit long (like long enough to shape them at least) and to start he cut them (especially my thumbnails) REALLY short and crooked. I was like "hoo boy here we go." Again, not much of a complainer but I know he saw me making a face as I examined them. Then! He couldnt find the cuticle remover at the desk we were at and *INSTEAD OF GETTING UP TO FIND SOME SOMEWHERE* put some hand sanitizer on my cuticles? I said, "oh umm does that do the same thing?" And he kinda chuckled and put some of the pink lotion on them instead. Weird. Lazy. Whatever. The color I picked was a light grey which was obviously gonna take at least 3 coats and he tried to start putting the top coat on after the second and I put my foot down and said, "Sorry, this is still see through I think it needs one more" and he kinda looked annoyed and said "ok." Took me back to dry my nails, lead me up front to pay, but before that put some oil stuff on my nails and wiped the thumbnail polish clean off. "Ohhh uhhh.." by this point I wanted to geeeet out of there. He said he could fix it and I was like "no no no thanks." And he's like "okay... $18." For the first time in my life I had to say "no..I'm sorry but I can not pay $18 for this." Other people came up they insisted I let another girl fix it, and gave me a certificate for a redo and only charged me $10. That was nice of them but I am sorry to say I will not be back. This was my second time here. The first time was last summer and while I wasn't overly impressed, I had an okay experience. My manicure didn't turn out exactly the way I was hoping, but it didn't end up looking bad. (It wasn't a typical request, and the guy admitted he'd never done anything like it. He let me know he'd give it a try but it might not turn out like the photo I had showed him.) I knew that going in and it was a risk I was willing to take. I decided to give this place another try today since my first experience wasn't all that bad and I was already in the shopping center running other errands. What started off as a typical pedicure did not end well. I asked for a French pedicure... which I thought was pretty standard. What I ended up with was white stripes that looked like a child had done them. I'm no professional (which is why I went to the nail salon) but I could have (and have) done a better job myself! The white lines are smeared, crooked, various thicknesses and there is white paint all over a few of my toes. Definitely NOT worth the $35 I was charged! This place is horrible. I paid $50 w/ tip for my dip powder that chipped (5 nails) within 1 week. I've gotten dip powder for a year or so now at a different place and I've had maybe one chip after a couple weeks. I said to the tech that she seemed to be rushing (the whole process after removal was 20 mind) and that the order they did it in seemed different. She assured me they would last 2-3 weeks. I went back and they would "do them right" only to have the tech be unfriendly and unapologetic. She even had to use pliers to open the top coat several times! They were then upon leaving going to charge me $20 for the polish change!!!! I refused. The photos are of the before cracked nails and after they "did them right". I went here to get my acrylic nails off and they didn't even take them off. Half of the nail is still on, and they were so rough and it hurt, all around my fingers are red still. This place used to be good, but not anymore. I won't go back. The manicurists talk amongst themselves in their native tongue (Vietnamese), making a customer feel uncomfortable and ignored.
