Labor and delivery specifically: I had a great induction and delivery. All the nurses I interacted…read morewith were so nurturing, supportive and let me choose my care and really reassured me I'd be ok the whole time. Specifically shouting out a few nurses that really made a difference for me were Jillian, Bre, Lakita, Katie and Caitlyn (if the names were wrong or spelled wrong I'm sorry, I was a little loopy a lot of the time). Honestly my whole care team was amazing. I'm coming back to this labor and delivery for my next baby because I know I'm going to get the best care.

Severe communication breakdown and lack of empathy for a critical care family…read more Our family's experience with Providence St. Peter Hospital has been deeply distressing during an already terrifying time. My 83-year-old grandmother was recently T-boned in a severe car accident, suffering eight broken bones, and was only just moved out of critical care. She managed to call me from her room, but the phone was disconnected. When I immediately called back to reconnect with her, I faced an absolute wall of bureaucratic incompetence and zero empathy. First, the staff claimed they had no idea who I was talking about. Once they finally recognized her name, they flatly refused to transfer me to her room or provide any explanation as to why. To prevent a family member from speaking to an elderly, severely injured patient who just initiated contact is completely unacceptable. The extreme lack of coordination between units and the rigid, unhelpful attitude of the staff turned a medical crisis into an agonizing, aggravating ordeal. St. Peter's leadership seriously needs to address how their staff handles communication with worried families. Frontline staff need training on basic empathy and how to properly locate transferred patients instead of just shutting families out.

TLDR: My established medications were halved without notice by a doctor because I'm "a young…read morefemale." -- I was seeing Kim (ARNP) for over a year, and she retired. My care was transferred to Dr. Ahmad. Despite assurances that everything would be transferred seamlessly and my established treatment plans would be maintained as is, Dr. Ahmad chose to reduce the dosage of my primary source of pain relief by half. Without telling me. No one contacted me to inform me of this, and I would not have even known this change happened if I had not looked at my bottle to make sure I received the correct medication through the mail. Upon requesting an explanation, I was told that the doctor FELT my dosage was "a very high dose for a young female" and admitted to not knowing anything about my case. Yelp is preventing me from sharing the MyChart screenshots... here's a direct copy and paste of the messages: Me: 11:28 AM I'd like to know why my Celebrex was refilled at half strength. I was receiving 200 mg twice a day, and was reduced without notice to 100mg. This is not going to be sufficient for my needs, and with my history of medical mistreatment... this is incredibly triggering and anxiety inducing for me. Jowairiyya S. Ahmad, MD: 2:57 PM Your Provider Ms. Williams have left the practice She no longer works with Providence You need to establish care with new rheumatologist Dr. Ahmad Dr Ahmad felt it was a very high dose for a young female like you I would not know your issues until I see you in the office and assess you If you are taking the Humira than your NSAID requirement need to reduce We can discuss on the appointment coming up Thank you

I wasted a…read morelot of it, searching their website and Aetna's for practitioners who were accepting new patients, looking over various characteristics of each that I consider important, and then I tried to make appointments. Guess what? Those providers were not actually accepting new patients. What about providers at one of the two Olympia clinics run by Providence? The earliest appointment available for a new patient annual exam offered to me in my phone call (which I made after it became clear that the website wouldn't enable me to complete this task) was just under five months out. I'm not sure why they would be so profoundly incapable of serving this need, and it is fun to speculate, but the bottom line is that attempting to do this with Providence is apparently not possible in Olympia.

Here's a clear, factual Google review that will be taken seriously:…read more We completed our daughter's sleep study with Mary Bridge Pediatric Sleep Medicine on September 20, 2025 and expected timely follow-up and a treatment plan. At our follow-up appointment with Timothy Murphy, we were told the sleep study had not yet been scored by the diagnostic team, so no plan of care could be provided. This resulted in an immediate delay. After that, a follow-up appointment was scheduled for April 29, 2026. Approximately three weeks before that appointment, it was rescheduled to September 2026 because we were told the provider does not work Wednesdays. It is unclear why the appointment was originally scheduled on a day he does not work. This change has now pushed care out nearly a full year after the original sleep study. In the meantime, our daughter has diagnosed sleep apnea and is increasingly tired and lethargic. There has been no clear path to move forward with treatment despite completed diagnostic results. We understand scheduling challenges happen, but delays in reviewing results and lack of continuity in care are concerning, especially for a pediatric patient. We are currently seeking options to have her care addressed sooner.
