Exact to wait 1.5 hrs every time you have an appointment, if the doctor shows up at all. Not thorough. Hardly worth your time.

All the nurses I interacted…read morewith were so nurturing, supportive and let me choose my care and really reassured me I'd be ok the whole time. Specifically shouting out a few nurses that really made a difference for me were Jillian, Bre, Lakita, Katie and Caitlyn (if the names were wrong or spelled wrong I'm sorry, I was a little loopy a lot of the time). Honestly my whole care team was amazing. I'm coming back to this labor and delivery for my next baby because I know I'm going to get the best care.

Severe communication breakdown and lack of empathy for a critical care family…read more Our family's experience with Providence St. Peter Hospital has been deeply distressing during an already terrifying time. My 83-year-old grandmother was recently T-boned in a severe car accident, suffering eight broken bones, and was only just moved out of critical care. She managed to call me from her room, but the phone was disconnected. When I immediately called back to reconnect with her, I faced an absolute wall of bureaucratic incompetence and zero empathy. First, the staff claimed they had no idea who I was talking about. Once they finally recognized her name, they flatly refused to transfer me to her room or provide any explanation as to why. To prevent a family member from speaking to an elderly, severely injured patient who just initiated contact is completely unacceptable. The extreme lack of coordination between units and the rigid, unhelpful attitude of the staff turned a medical crisis into an agonizing, aggravating ordeal. St. Peter's leadership seriously needs to address how their staff handles communication with worried families. Frontline staff need training on basic empathy and how to properly locate transferred patients instead of just shutting families out.

When I made arrangements to put my husband in this re-hab facility they assured me they would be…read morechecking on him hourly. And this being a medical facility they would be checking his vitals regularly as well. I checked him in on a Friday night at midnight and on Monday morning he was found dead. The Dr. had given orders for the nurses to call him if my husbands blood pressure went below a certain level. The only checking they did was to put their head inside the door. They didn't go over to the bed and take vital signs. They hadn't checked on him for 13 hours. They neglected him. If they had done their job I could have been there with him. I could have held him in my arms . Instead he died all alone in a strange place with people who didn't care about him or for him. His biggest fear was dying alone and that's what happened. I was also at the facility at 8:00 on Monday morning to bring some glasses and books he wanted to read. Everyone knew he had died at this point except for me. I didn't find out about his death until about 1:30 that day. The next time I saw my husband was 2 days later at the morgue with his eyes sewn shut. My husband was a well known Dr. In the Olympia community. He had practiced for 30 some years. A couple months later I was in the grocery store and picked up the newspaper. The front page article was about the rehab facility laying off 37 people because of my husbands death. That was also the first time I found out they hadn't checked on him for 13 hours. I thought I would have a stroke . They hadn't bothered to tell me this. I had to find out reading it in the newspaper. There was a state and federal investigation . They had to correct 8 violations. The center was closed for a while and now I see they are opening up a brand new facility. My life has blown up and they are carrying on bigger and better than ever. I'm mad and hurt and my life will never be the same. So , as you can imagine I wouldn't put anyone in this facility.
