The food is great and you have the option to change it to what ever you want. The CNA's were super helpful and the nurse call button was often quick response time. I put in many appreciation notes to have my nurses and CNA's receive recognition. I was sad to leave to a skilled nursing facility. The social workers who were trying to get me to a skilled nursing facility were aggressive with their tactics though. That put a damper on my healing.

Spent an hour with NP Freed, very comfortable visit, never felt pressured for time or information, just got to know me, what I needed, where I was coming from. Great folks! Lab work done immediately, results back next day, great communications from Freed and the office, and I know exactly where I stand physically! Plus it was a lot more economical than prior providers! From the security guard at the front door; to the information people, nurses and everyone involved, they were the most friendly and caring people I think I've ever encountered! They were very reassuring, answered all my questions, assured me there was a doctor in the next room with an injection that would stop an allergic reaction if it started. AND we did not even FEEL the injection. The woman in the observation area kept her eye on me and approached me every few minute to ask me how I was feeling. It was a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! My roommate was nuts and talked all night and yelled at staff. They handled it very politely and professionally. Even better, they gave me a private room when one was available at no extra charge since my insurance wouldn't pay for it so I could get some rest. This is the only reason they get 3 stars. Well, I could have gotten lots of sleep if not for the murse with the high-pitched voice constantly waking me up, once he was gone I slept well. A big negative is pain management. The IV obviously poked a hole clear through the vein. When they injected pain meds, my elbow burned for 10 minutes. They didn't seem to believe the cause and would only dilute it, which made it burn less with zero pain relief. How hard would it have been to adjust the IV?

After waiting for the expected 2+ hours, they took a blood sample. Wait again. Eventually I was called to a room. I told him that I have MS and that it may be an exacerbation, but that I had never had one this bad. I couldn't member names, I had been seriously unbalanced to an extreme that I had ever had been. My vision was loopy, could not think of any basic needed words to carry on a conversation, and when going through the contacts on my phone, I couldn't recognize any. I may not have said every one of these. He finally told me that I was probably right and that I could go home. When leaving, my friend begged me to let her drive. I must have frightened her en route to the ER. Later, when speaking to a nurse at UW, she told me that it sounded like a stroke and was amazed that the hadn't ordered a CAT scan. 2 Dr,'s later agreed. I still have residual issues with spelling, remembering close friends or family, or basic math skills and basic memory.

I had to file a credit card dispute. I am also certain they took unnecessary biopsies from healthy tissue to pad their bottom line.

My old doctor retired so I was assigned a new doctor for my annual checkup. I was pleased with the…read morenew doctor. She went over my medical history. But because I mentioned I had a recent issue with a frozen shoulder, I was billed additional service/appointment doubling the cost of my annual checkup. There were no referrals given or anything else related to the shoulder other than mentioning it (like 30 second discussion). I was charged an extra $415 for "Moderate Complexity Medical Decision Making" regarding the frozen shoulder. Yes my insurance paid for it, but I feel Providence is basically running an insurance scam.
