They looked crispy and you know the meat is fresh. I had the shrimp scampi and it may have been one of my top 5 favorite shrimp scampis I have ever had. The shrimp was fresh and not over cooked. It was not chewy and it was easy to cut into. I am not usually crazy about angel hair pasta but the flavors with it made it so good. The garlic bread on the side was a great touch to this dish. I was introduced to Richard's during covid and they quickly became one of my favorites for a good fish sandwich. I typically go with the small Icedock Sandwich meal because the original size with 2 pieces of fish is huge, but great for the price. American cheese, tartar sauce, a well seasoned piece of fried fish, and a soft roll... I'm sold! And the piping hot fries are some of the best. As a french fanatic, I know. I recently tried their Half & Half soup (half crab soup, half cream of crab) and it was delicious. Good chunks of tender crab meat and that creamy, tomatoe soup base blend was quite tasty. Huge outdoor tents with picnic tables and a sandy floor really set the scene for us. We ordered a bucket of beer and dug in as soon as our trays of crab came out. Good, but not strong or spicy flavors and our server was Jane-on-the-spot to offer up another helping when she saw us getting low. The AYCE comes with corn & Hush Puppies, which are tasty and not too large, but I personally left behind the extra carbs in favor of more crab pickin'. The kids from a table near loved the sandy floor, occupying themselves building small sandcastles while their parents enjoyed a similar Crab heavy table - so great for families.
