We came on a weekday at 1pm and the place was popping. Lots of seating but most spots were full. We came for the tater tots and boy were they worth it. Super crunchy on the outside and the inside nice and fluffy. They also come pipping hot and with ketchup and another sauce. Chocolate croissant was okay. Wouldn't get it again. BUT THE TATOR TOTS I would Service was also really nice and they clean up pretty fast

Provisions Egg Sandwich with bacon

I was in the neighborhood and ordered their Provisions Egg Sandwich. You place your order at the till and then seat yourself. A server will bring your order out to you. It came with a crispy panko crusted poached egg, tomato, avocado, mayo, smoked cheddar and was served on a housemade seeded bun. The bun was fluffy and soft. The sandwich had lots of filling, and was really satisfying. My one regret was not adding bacon to the sandwich. The sandwich could have used a touch more salt. I would rate this place 4.5 stars.

Emerald salad

Went to Kitsilano Provisions with the hubs. I had the turkey sandwich special and he had the emerald salad, and 2 hot drinks mocha and matcha drink. everything was excellent. The turkey sandwich was stacked just right, tender meat, great bread, and that perfect balance of savory and tangy. The emerald salad was crisp and refreshing, a nice contrast to the sandwich. And the matcha drink? Smooth, not too sweet, and made properly. The vibe inside is relaxed busy but still feels a bit elevated, bright, and welcoming. Staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. Honestly, it's the kind of place that makes you want to come back next week to see what the new special is. Kitsilano Provisions keeps things simple, fresh, and delicious, exactly how it should be.

cruffin

A modern cafe with a sleek ambiance. The cruffin I got was filled with cream and enjoyable. Service was kind too. Had creative pastry options.

Stopped by for a matcha. Cafe was still quite busy at around 4:45PM. Very nice spot with assortment of drinks and pastries. Nice ambiance.

Bacon breakfast sandwich and smash burger.

The restaurant was packed when we got in like to order but seats became available shortly. Ordered the bacon breakfast sandwhich that was available all day but was not told the price would be more than breakfast time. But the sandwhich was really good and the bun looked like a brioche bun, was the best part. Would go back for the pastries and coffee next time.

Sadly they can't accommodate and are extremely inflexible when it comes to their menu.

Christmas Season Special Item - Christmas Tree Croissant and Kuegelhoph…read more Christmas tree croissant with red stripes filled with hazelnut pastry cream and bright passionfruit jam. Dough was very buttery and crispy. I could taste strong butter flavor which stood out. Passionfruit jam dominated over hazelnut cream. It lean on sweeter side. I prefer more hazelnut cream. However, the croissant itself was one of the best. Very delicious. Holiday Chocolate Kugelhopf~ dark chocolate sweet bread studded with chocolate chips, citrus peels, and almond praline, rolled in sugar. I really liked kugelhoph's dough and almond praline! It wasn't too heavy, lighter texture and praline wasn't too sweet. So, sugar coating paired with dough very well. I would like to get this one again! Overall, I really enjoyed both Christmas items. Their baking goods was always top notch.

There are fairly high concrete steps from the front door to the inside of the cafe. Not easily accessible. Selection of French croissants and fusion Asian flavours. Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 5/5…read moreGood/drink: 3/5 I was so excited to try this spot since I had heard such good things about it (and their cardamom buns!). I came with my friend on a weekday and managed to snag the last cardamom buns. They don't serve matcha anymore and I'm not a big coffee drinker so I ordered the ginger honey yuzu soda instead. My friend got a cookie and an iced mocha. The staff were super nice so no complaints there! As for ambiance, they had a few seats outside and what looked like a huge space under the stairs for seating but they had blocked that area off as they're turning it into a retail section - seems a bit strange for me as when the summer is over people won't want to sit outside anymore so it will have to be a to-go model. The cookie was good, but I was really disappointed in the cardamom bun. It was $7 and barely had any flavour - it seems like it's made with whole wheat flour and didn't have enough cardamom or sugar in my opinion so I only ended up eating half. The yuzu drink also wasn't good. The ginger pieces got stuck in my straw immediately and the whole drink just tasted like ginger and soda water, there was no other flavour or sweetness in it. My friend also didn't really enjoy her drink. Overall this spot was a big disappointment given how many amazing cafes we have

Tried their cold white coffee and i really enjoyed it! There was a little bit of oil? Taste in the coffee which was very interesting (in a good way). It's my first time here. It's busy. Lots of seats. They have a glass covered patio, which is a nice extension. I ordered a double shot of ice espresso. It was a warm day but needed caffeine. I like they have lots of choices of sweets and donuts and their portions are big. The tables are small though, and a bit cramped inside, unlike what I'm used to at Main St. There's also minimal wall outlets for laptops or phone charging. So make sure you have your devices charged before coming here to work or study. Outside it's walking distance from other stores snd restaurants. It's a nice commercial neighborhood. I recommend visiting it after going to the beach down the hill.

I am writing this review because my email to them went unanswered…read more I am shocked and disappointed at the way I was treated after spending $40. I am a HUGE 49th fan and love their dougnuts and coffee. Whenever I have friends in town, or someone needs a suggestion on where to visit, I always say "49th has really good coffee and doughnuts". Unfortunately, my mind has changed, and I don't see myself ever recommending this location. As an avid coffee drinker, I am pretty picky on where I choose to have coffee and love the cafe culture in Vancouver. My mom loves doughnuts and we had come all the way from Langley for a day in Kits, so I recommended we go to 49th! I spent about $40 on 4 doughnuts, 2 maple sea salt lattes and a drip coffee. The maple sea salt lattes looked beautiful and my doughnut was delicious as usual (big fan of the french crueller). Unfortunately, our maple sea salt lattes were very very strong and had no maple or sea salt flavoring in my opinion. I decided to ask the girl at the register if we could please get a different drink because it was super strong and didn't taste good. I was met with SO much attitude, i was actually shocked. I went into it very friendly and politely asked for an alternate drink as i did spend $12 on these two drinks (and life gets expensive!!). She then goes "well, you probably don't like the taste of coffee then".... I actually didn't know how to respond. But i did say "I'm a huge 49th fan and love coffee!". Then I had asked how many shots are in the small and she said "2". I then had asked if we could get a new/different drink and she goes "I'll give it to you this one time, but next time you'll have to pay." This is NOT the way to treat a paying customer. It felt so rude and accusatory. I very rarely come to Kits, so she wouldn't have recognized me and am an honest girl who works hard for my money. When the customer comes up politely, you offer to make it right. I hope the next person that comes up not satisfied with their drink is treated a lot better than how I was.

The space is beautiful, very bright with high ceilings. And the selection of pastries was impressive. Opted for a latte and a croissant. Both came out as expected in terms of presentation and taste, though the latte was not as hot as one would expect. They did provide a pager to notify when the coffee was ready. Waited. Waited. Finally walked over and after several exchanges, determined it was our coffees. I provided the pager and said it did not go off. The attendant then reached down and activated it. Nice. No apologies. Beautiful space but with poor service, I have no intentions of returning to this or any of the Small Victory Bakery's.

I was glad to see the same amazing pastries and tarts and sandwiches, all fresh and beautifully displayed in the display case. I ordered a croissant and it was superb as usual. I also ordered one of thier baguettes to bring home. My kid and I think SV has the best baguettes in the city. They are crusty on the outside, soft yet chewy inside, and just consistently perfect. This one was as good as all the others we've had from here. Yeah! I wanted an Earl Grey tea which IMO is a pretty basic order. Surprisingly, they did not have it. I got a green tea instead (their tea selection was very limited). And the girl who took my order, as well as the girl who rang me up at the cash, could NOT have been more aloof. I smiled and tried to make a little small talk, especially with the girl at the cash when I took out my debit card and asked how to pay (she just pointed at the tap symbol on the machine but my card is not tap-enabled. I always joke with people about this). This girl would not even look at me. Zero eye contact. No "thank you", nada. I just got really cold vibes from the two of them there at the counter. (At least when I picked up my tea at the beverage counter, the guy there made eye contact and semi smiled). (Side note: the staff at the Yaletown site have always been super pleasant and friendly, and this really makes a difference. To me, anyhow). Contrary to another reviewer's posting, the restaurant and the washroom was very clean when I visited here. No issues there. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll return to this site. There are so many cafes and bakeries around, I'd rather go to one with a warmer vibe. Or stay with my Yaletown SV.
