This has become our go to in PSJ. We always have a great meal, drinks and service. We love they have small size plates for some of their items. Everything we've ever had there has been fantastic. I'd recommend trying whatever sounds good to you, I doubt you'd be disappointed. The pasta dishes are fantastic and very flavorful, the salads are outstanding and the spinach artichoke dip with warm pita chips can be a meal itself. We started with the bruschetta which was 10/10 and followed with the mussels which were dry and flavorless. I got the port Joe sautee at the recommendation of our server. It was just ok... I enjoyed the goat cheese but felt unimpressed by the preparation of the shrimp and bay scallops. My dad got the shrimp carbonara and was ready to lick his plate clean because he enjoyed it so much. My mom got the Betty spaghetti which was average as well. My favorite part was the ability to order "petite" portions so we wouldn't have to leave with leftovers. It appears the employee smoke area is directly next to the outdoor patio, so I suggest sitting inside if smoke bothers you. We just made a quick over to St Joe from Panama City. Cruised the shops and had a beer. Stumbled across Provisions while trying to figure out dinner. Very happy we did. The has a ribeye special so we had to try it out at the recommendation from our server. We also had the St Joe Saute and Shrimp scampi. Starters were even better with ahi tuna and a goat cheese marinara. Saturdays are apparently special with sangria saturdays so they were two for one. read more

We had a scrumptious dinner Friday night. We were seated on the porch and were well taken care of with quick service. Fridays special is paella- shrimp, scallops, sausage and chicken over yellow rice. That was devoured by one of us. Then the ahi tuna with angel hair and capers was a delight and no leftovers there either. My dish was the Port Saint Joe sauté. With scallops and shrimp over spinach noodles with artichokes. Loved it! My boyfriend had the shrimp scampi and arrived with beautiful broccoli and large Shrimp! Provisions is a wonderful restaurant. Tha atmosphere is quaint. The servers are attentive. I've been a few times and never had anything less than yummy. Betty Spaghetti is by far my favorite restaurant spaghetti. It's just like homemade. Their sandwiches are so good. But what puts the cherry on top of the meal is their chocolate cake!! I have been to Provisions a couple of times now and I really have enjoyed it. Service here is on point and they make sure they take great care of you ensuring you have a wonderful dining experience. Always friendly and always knowledgeable about the menu. My first visit I had the Guadalupe steak sandwich which was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection garnished with chimichurri. My last visit was for dinner and I decided to go with the St Joe Sauté which was amazing; filled with lots of shrimp and scallops. Very good and very tasty. I regret having to report that Provisions' food has gone downhill in the past few years. Most notably, the bruschetta, which had been among the best I've had outside of Italy, has hit rock bottom. The fresh, tender, lightly toasted bread has been replaced by tough, seemingly day-old bread, and the topping which once delivered a bright balsamic flavor now tastes like canned chopped tomatoes. Lunch entree portions seem to have gotten smaller. We stopped in again this year, hoping against hope that our past few years' experiences were aberrations, but that was not to be. We're dropping them from our "must visit" list for our annual stay in the area. read more

Came for a late lunch. Restaurant looks worn and they need to fix the loud creaking kitchen door. Ordered Mac and cheese with prosciutto, 30 dollars worth. It came basically needing to be mixed up. It was flavorless. The accompanying bread/toast was plain. I got a house salad and a couple times I tasted grit, like sand, in my bite of salad. I also ordered the fish tacos. My fish was a cold, big dry piece of something. I wondered if it is stored in the kitchen in a warming tray because I had portions of the fish that were hard and not edible, thought I was eating fish fin. My stomach started to grumble. We came in for dinner. We choose to sit in the bar area which is right when you first walk in. The lightening was good restaurant was clean. There was a lot of staff and at first we were a little thrown off because all staff was in bar discussing who was going to go home because it's off season and slow. It was a rainy night so it was slower. We felt it was a little tacky on their part seeing that all 4 tables they had and a couple at the bar were all in the bar area. Our server was great! Attentive and helpful. We ordered a bottle of wine which was delicious. We had bruschetta for appetizer, 1/2 salads and 2 1/2 pastas for dinner. Double chocolate cake for dessert. Based on the yelp reviews, my husband and I decided to have lunch here. We were greeted immediately, and all the staff were friendly and acknowledged. I was hoping for fresh seafood options since we're in a seafood town. I ordered the Paella, which is a Friday special, and it had shrimp in it. Unfortunately, this was the worst Paella I've ever had. I've made Paella myself several times, and it is by no means authentic or like traditional Paella. You could tell the ingredients were not cooked together, and they just threw some diced tomatoes on top. I hate to be so harsh, but this was my first time dining here, and based on that dish, I probably wouldn't return. The bread that came with my meal was soggy. I did enjoy the salad. I wish I had tried something else. My husband enjoyed his lunch-roast beef prime rib on a croissant with pasta salad. The price was very fair for lunch, and I suggest eating here if you're on a budget and would like friendly service with a menu that has something for everyone. read more

Stopped by on a weekday, approx 3pm for a late lunch (to celebrate my longtime friends extended birthday) , and were happily surprised to hit the Happy Hour specials time! We enjoyed a few glasses of wine, plus petite sesame tuna and Bruschetta Rustica small plates. Both offerings were the perfect size, with lovely presentation and flavor. Nick was our patient and personable server. Comfortable setting, enjoyable experience. I had previously enjoyed dinner at Provisions not long after their opening in Port St Joe and all diners then thoroughly enjoyed it - I was SO PLEASED to see the establishment continuing to flourish 17+ years later. I've passed by this spot so many times and finally had the chance to stop in. I was on a solo work trip so I sat at the bar and hung out the with staff. They were all a great bunch of people and they play great music there. The food was fantastic and the service was quick. I had a glass of wine with my meal and was surprised that I got all of the under $40.00. I hope I get a chance to come back and try some more of the menu!!! read more

Popped into town and found this great spot. Nice atmosphere, not too pretentious, nice. Appetizer of mussels, farm-raised and perfect with grilled bread. Went nicely with the martini! Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Waitress was rude, certain food and drinks took unreasonably long, and I have never felt more disrespected. She threw checks at my younger sister after getting frustrated that she had messed our checks up for the second time, telling us "yall can do it yourselves" and leaving. This incident, along with the poor service and extremely rude interactions for hours, will have me never returning to Provisions. Why was everything FROZEN and not FRESH!? Ya'll Gordon Ramsey would be having a melt down!! You are right next to the Sea. My husband said that even the bread seemed to have been frozen. He wanted me to give thos review 1 star. The shrimp and scallops had been frozen as well and they were so small. The scallops were literally the size of Kix cereal nuggets! I wish I had taken a picture because people need to know that this is NOT fine dining. We went based off of the reviews and were both shocked that anyone gave this place 5 stars. Maybe the locals dig it because there aren't a ton of options for pasta and beef but it would probably have 2 stars where we are from. However, if you are looking for a casual place to have a family meal that is on the same level as a Chili's or a Friday's and you don't mind if the food isn't fresh then you may enjoy it. We just could not for the life of us understand the 5 star reviews labeling this place as fine dining! The salad dressing was good but the lettuce was warm. The broccoli was cold and hard and the filet mignon was a nice thick cut but just not cooked properly. I think they cooked it too fast. There is a cute little Mexican restaurant nearby "Quatro Loco"? with some great fresh tasting shrimp and Mahi tacos with large shrimp. They don't skimping the shrimp at all so check them out if you like Mexican restaurants. read more

Well fellow yelpers. Once again I did not get pictures. But, I found this place while walking the main street. The town is great just from a tour standpoint. I stopped in to see if they had my rum I know that's no big surprise to you they didn't but they did have a good alternative. So the love of my life a.k.a. my wife and I took a walk to this restaurant. We're not much for having to walk to restaurants we'd rather drive. But we're on our boat we don't have a car so we walk to the restaurant. So here's the thing, we had two referrals on this restaurant that we talked to before we arrived for our dinner tonight. Because of the referrals I will tell you expectations were high. The staff exceeded the expectations everything was spot on. The dessert was perfect. The menu as well balanced so there's a little bit of everything for somebody. Peggy had the bruschetta and loved it. Had some kind of noodle dish sorry I don't remember it right now but I do have leftovers I get to take home Yum Yum. The gentleman that was sitting next to me was a lot like me he started having a conversation with us just like I love to do. It sounded like he's been coming here quite a bit because what he said is you can't go wrong with anything you pick. And our experience this has proved true. Unfortunately we're gonna get back on our boat and leave tomorrow so we won't be able to come back but if you're in the area you absolutely should try this place. This place is consistently delicious, and I've been a customer for 5 years. Today, the chef went above and beyond making me a pasta-free "pasta" dish with marinara over zucchini, broccoli, and chicken breast to help me stay on a specific meal plan I'm following. Provisions stands the test of time. Consistently good food. Made the trip in tonight to take advantage of the Friday special, "Paella for the People", which is a crowd favorite. Don't wait until too late in the evening, or you'll likely miss it. Served with a delicious side salad, with balsamic vinaigrette. Great meal! Now if only I could combine it with the Saturday special, 2 for 1 sangria, I'd be there every week. You can't go wrong with the "Betty spaghetti" or Thai pasta. Both are awesome. Sadly, the happy hour specials aren't currently being offered, so you'll pay full price for appetizers and wine, but the list of appetizers is still impressive. The goat cheese fondue is so good, but the ahi tuna and mussels are very good, too. Classy, casual atmosphere, in the small dining room, bar or dog-friendly patio. Food was actually pretty darn good. Our group had 4 orders of snapper piccata and it was consistent and well liked. The mussels went enjoyed as well. Very small place, somewhat dark and loud. Our waitress tried her best with a our group of 10, but her kitchen help was rude and cold. Over plating us before the apps came out, he seemed upset we ordered them to come out ASAP to keep our young kids from eating us!. The Head? Waiter and ours could be heard talking about our table, well within earshot making us feel uncomfortable. Listen, I get it that a place would like to flip 4 tops all night long, but families with multi-generational groups in them spend money as well. The food tasted very cheap for the price. My friend and I split the penne with chicken and the garlic white wine angel hair pasta with mussels. The mussels were the best part of the meal, and the garlic white wine tasted strongly of wine and no garlic. Both pastas tasted like cheap premade box pasta, and the chicken in the penne was rubbery and odd. It tasted like frozen microwaved chicken, and everyone else in our group also did not eat it in their meals We also ordered the crème brûlée and the only warmish part was the sugar top. The bottom was cold and gelatinous, and it was far too below par to be $10 for a small, cold dessert. The key lime pie was super tart, which wasn't my preference, but some may like it that way. The "crust" was broken graham crackers that didn't stick to the pie and made a crumbly mess. The service was okay. We are a group of young adults and other than refilling our waters, the waitress seemed to disregard our table and was a little short with us.
