The sandwiches here are legendary especially after a long night out , LOL. They have so much to choose from . The only thing is the customer service that's a little rough around the edges. I guess hospitality should not be expected everywhere you go. Some employees are much more pleasant than others though. I'm still giving it 5 stars because the snacks , drinks , candy and sandwiches are all home runs and to die for .

Been coming here all my life never got a sandwich this small from them. They only had two guys working behind the deli counter third guy came out of nowhere and made me a cheap hero probably doesn't even work the deli section because never got a sandwich so thin.

Boars Head Buffalo Chicken, yellow American, lettuce, salt, pepper, and extra mayo.

The sandwiches here taste better than the ones your Momma made you when going to the park or beach.

Heroes are good value. Filled pretty well and lots to choose from. Best part is they're always open, which is unusual for this neighborhood.

My sandwich was phenomenal--fresh, delicious, and made to perfection. The potato salad was incredibly fresh and the perfect side. They're also the creators of the viral Italian meatball ice cream cone that was featured on the news, making this spot a true local gem. Whether you're stopping in for one of their famous creations or a classic sandwich, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to come back! Metered parking only!

Fresh semolina hero hollowed out. The bread was so fresh and not soggy whatsoever. Then placed inside delicious, homemade meatballs, baked deli in the deli itself. I ate the sandwich in two settings. It was just as good the second time if not better. You can tell the sauce is homemade, not too wheat, but typical homemade sauce, a.k.a. gravy. The meatballs were tender, seasoned to perfection and did not fall apart. I just loved the whole presentation and the hero itself. Inside the deli, there are many Italian delicacies and hot food available for takeout. They also have so many good cold cuts in the case by the pound. I sat out in front. There is a couple of seats and a table.. Great service and experience!

Fresh mozzarella with prosciutto and I believe Sun dried tomato. Very good. I have been visiting Bronx Little Italy for a couple of times but always saw a long line that made me hesitant to go in. This time I came early around 8:30 Am. I was the third person in line. The store is super small especially at the ordering area. There's only small space for one person to stand so it's very difficult to exit while there are people behind you. I highly recommend coming here early before the crowd.

However, it was probably about 20-30 minutes before we took our order, so service is definitely fast! Inside is super small, but there are lots of Italian goods around to see. There are also blocks/rounds of cheese you can purchase too. We got The Casa, and ate it outside. Service was so kind and we even got to see them make mozzarella in the back! I don't think this sandwich was my favorite unfortunately. The bread had a funky smell(?) to it, and I feel like it fell a little flat on flavors and textures. Regardless, I am glad I tried and met the incredible team!

We went right at opening, only 2 tables taken and it took us 45 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. Meanwhile we saw plenty of other tables come after us and eat before us. The pasta salad had a black hair in it. Gross. We ordered two sprites that never came. The chicken parm was cold in the center (heated up my microwave??) and the top focaccia was SO burnt that we had to ask for a different piece. So they brought us a cold slab without even heating it up. This wasn't a fun eating experience and I would not recommend. The wait staff was pretty irritated and not friendly. We never even told them about the hair or sprites because it wasn't worth it.

We sat at a table with waitress service. The menu seems to be getting larger and more like a restaurant with more reasonable prices. We've always shared a sandwich and salad here, they e always been excellent. Today we noticed some having soup, hot hero's, bowls of pasta, platters of parmagino,, wines, beer and Prosecco too. It's such a tough decision will we share a three tenor hero with smoked mozzarella or the Pavarotti with eggplant. Our focaccia sandwich was huge and is enough for 2 of us. Everything here is just so fresh and delicious. The lunch crowd just left and I'm glad we were able to find a table. Delicious huge lunch that we shared, it was a real treat!
