Appointments were canceled without any communication or courtesy call, and trying to reach someone at the local office was nearly impossible because no one answers the phone. Everything is automated, which would be fine if it actually worked properly. Even the online system was incompetent and repeatedly failed to recognize that my vehicle was not an EV. After finally getting someone out to complete the service, the problems continued. The technician's work was clearly not done correctly, and now I have to bring my car back in for recalibration. To make matters worse, every employee seems to give a different explanation, so there is zero consistency or accountability. I specifically scheduled a Saturday appointment because I work 60 hours a week and cannot easily miss work. Instead, this entire situation has now taken over my Monday as well because of Safelite's mistakes and lack of communication. The complete lack of organization, communication, and competence throughout this process has been unbelievable. Safelite seriously needs to get it together.

Windshield does not sit evenly and…read moreworkers assured me that and exposed rust underneath would be primed before installation of new windshield but it was not. Also internal trim piece was removed and discarded because "it didn't fit" and now it looks terrible from the inside. Really has me wondering on the safety of the new windshield as from what I see the inner windshield molding support seems like an integral part of the installation. Confirmed that the rearview mirror bracket would be included and it was not. So now I have a result that's considerably worse than where I started, with exposed rust underneath and missing trim pieces. Look like I will need to have my windshield re-replaced unfortunately.

After only getting an estimate Carstar Utzig, with no authorization to perform work, with no authorization to release information or photos, releases information and photos to insurance companies before you've even decided to use them for the repairs. Something about their relationship with insurance companies doesn't pass the smell test. And now, because of their actions the insurance company is refusing to repair all the damages.

The front office staff were pleasant to deal with and the car was done when they said it would be. We had a rental car while the car was being repaired. Everything seemed to go well, until 6 months later. The car has no rust anywhere else on it yet suddenly there is all kinds of rust in the area that was repaired. I contacted Carstar again and sent them photos. Their response was that the car was already rusting when they got it and that they repaired the collision damage, not rust. Clearly whatever repair they did made caused more of an issue or maybe it is what they didn't do?. I'm attaching photos from immediately after the collision, zoom in on the wheel well, during repairs, and now. I would hesitate to use them for my next collision repair due to this issue .
