Had three window panes blown due to an accident nearby. Tried a glass company in town and they…read moreactually couldn't care less to fix them... gave us a huge estimate for 4 panes. We wanted them to match, turns out one wasn't broken and was plain glass. We were referred to American glass and we are so pleased with the job and the customer service. Only had to do 3 panes because the remaining pane was also plain glass. The other 3 were wavy glass, old. The estimator who came out pointed out the remaining glass was plain and not wavy. We hadn't noticed but appreciated the honesty. From the first call to American Glass to the set up of the installation were all perfect. The install even came 3 days earlier than expected. Communication was great. Caulking was very sloppy, it's an old house(summer cottage) so I guess they figured who cares. We do though.

After waiting several weeks for my window they called and scheduled an appointment for me to drop it off for repair, I live out of state and took the day off of work to go there only to find out that they ordered the wrong material. It took a few more weeks for them to get the correct materials , I requested a discount for my trouble and they told me the best they could do is offer me a 10% discount on my next purchase, based on my experience I said that I will not go with them for future needs and they said they would have the owner call me, it's been several weeks and I never heard back. The girls in the office were great but I can't say the same for the owner very poor customer service.

This has been going on for over 5 months. When he did accept a phone call he said he was in a bit of a bind and would make an effort to get the bill paid. Told him that I would work with him in any way to help him out and now he refuses to answer calls or reply to E mail. Stay away from contractors that don't pay their bills!

The scope of the project grew as we realized that we needed more things done in the house before we could move in, which included: installing several interior and exterior doors, removing and reinstalling a built-in set of drawers, installing and fixing flooring, removing a built-in wet bar in the basement, doing some work in a bathroom so we could put in a new vanity and bathtub, removing a wall between two rooms so one could be turned into a walk-in closet, making a small alcove into a closet, stripping down a door to be refinished, making shelf supports for our long pantry shelves so they don't bow from the weight, and helping fix a basement leak that was due to the prior owner not properly fastening his deck to the foundation. I am sure there some things I am forgetting, but the bottom line is that Patrick and Chris were always up to doing what we needed done. They were on time, professional, friendly and easy to work with. Patrick was great about providing quotes for all of the work, and had very reasonable prices. In addition, when I needed a contractor for something that he couldn't do, he knew someone in the area he could recommend, and those recommendations (of which there were several for: roofing, plumbing and tile work) worked out great. My wife and I appreciate the great work that Patrick and Chris did, and would highly recommend them for any type of construction project - whether it's big or small.
