I often feel that dentists don't take enough time to make sure I'm not feeling anything, but Dr. Nghiem stopped so often to check on me, it almost felt coddling! I felt so cared for and I can say that even more confidently considering I was having him finish the job of another dentist that 1) couldn't get me numb and 2) didn't care whether I was numb and seemed annoyed with me for not getting numb. Well, it's been 2+ years now since getting my two front teeth crowned and they look as beautiful and feel as great as ever. Not one time have I felt like someone was looking at me, questioning whether or not my teeth are real. Nor have experienced any pain, chipping or issues whatsoever. To be clear I had extractions, a bone graft, bridges and crowns , multiple cleanings and an implant. The staff is helpful, pleasant and efficient. I received reminders so that I never missed an appointment and did not wait long once in the office for my time in the chair to begin. My children were up to date on their visits, were seen April of 2025 and had their 6month follow up scheduled for October of 2025 with no missed appointments on their behalf in between; because dad and myself had appointments that we missed due to medical reasons, they canceled our children's visits and never told us. While dad and I did not agree that we should have been barred from rescheduling our visits, we were understanding and did try calling same day for appointments that were never available. We were not made aware that our children would also not be allowed to keep their already scheduled appointments (scheduled in April of 2025) and would not be able to reschedule, so essentially being discharged unofficially, No written documentation was provided to myself, my husband or the children, formally discharging us, no certified mail, no one called or communicated the children's appointments were going to be canceled. The manager Shanice was also incredibly rude when speaking to me about this issue, she interrupted me to speak over me several times and would not hear what I had to say because I mentioned how unfair to the children this was. The office is clean, staff are friendly, and scheduling is very accommodating. I had to have one small cavity filled that was on the side of my tooth that was touching another. I have found Dr. Norige to have very nice bedside manner in the past however found him now to be quite dismissive. When I asked how exactly that type of filling is placed he glossed over my question and left me to ask my questions to the dental hygienist. On the day of, I requested no novocain as from the X-ray, the cavity appeared quite superficial and I have had cavities filled in the past with no novocain. Dr. Norige stated he would not do the work if I did not receive novocain and refused to tell me how deep into the tooth he planned to go, ect, or even have an educated discussion with me about it. Following the work I asked what material was used for the filling and how long I can expect it to last as I have read peer reviewed articles about the life span of fillings, Dr. Norige again was dismissive of my questions stating "It will last a long while you don't have anything to worry about". I am a medical professional pursing a law degree, so I found it quite bothersome and disrespectful to be talked down to and dismissed without my questions being answered. Dr. Lovelace and Dr. Kasprzak (yep, that's how you spell it) are both very good dentists that did their work right the first time around. They've also got a great team of hygenists who are as friendly as they are professional. Wait times were always at a minimum, and even so, they have a ton of magazines. I found a recipe i liked in one of them, and the office lady was nice enough to make a copy for me :). Most importantly, this is the place in Manchester to go for a dentist. She wasn't responding to the insurance company request for additional information to process the claim. Also, the doctor wrote in my chart that I had 52 minutes of anesthesia when I didn't! They billed insurance for it. Even though they made me pay for it up front. When I told Mae I didn't have anesthesia she didn't believe me and wasn't going to give me the refund I was told I would get since I didn't have it. All around a very negative experience.
