One month ago I had a tie with a few stains to be dry cleaned. Two of the several stains didn't come out fully, so I politely asked if it could be re-done and have them again try to remove those final two spots, so they gladly fixed the issue for a repeat treatment at no additional cost. BEWARE!!! This unscrupulous dry cleaner took my barely used custom made Moroccan wool rug and returned it to me with a giant hole in it where the fibers had unraveled in addition to shrinking it by about a foot. I honestly think they threw it in a washing machine instead of sending it out to rug experts as I assumed they were doing when they said we send the rugs "out". When I picked up my rug I was shocked and discussed it with the owner who questioned MY HONESTY when I told him I dropped off a perfect rug. He said he doubted it didn't have the hole in it when I dropped it off. I was and am furious at this owner and establishment for ruining my $400 rug and then denying it, and insinuating I was lying! If you are foolish enough to use this dry cleaner I suggest you take photos with dates of everything you leave with them because if they ruin something, they will claim it was already that way and deny responsibility. I have lived in Libertyville 30 years and used other dry cleaners that are responsible and scrupulous so please use one of them and not this absolute dishonest excuse for a business. This Place gets five stars in my book. Mainly because my regular one who I loved unfortunately went out of business. So I was forced to go to another one which was horrible. They where both mean & Rude after this I picked up my clothes and went to PSQ. WOW they are actually Nice & Professional too! They have fair prices for dry cleaning & they care too about their customers. They even spot clean my work shirts too. They also do alterations.......... All this and only one place to go . I made the mistake of being penny wise and started bringing my shirts to PSQ Dry cleaners in Libertyville. I was told a particular golf shirt required dry cleaning. I agreed as I normally had this done at my previous cleaner. It came back to me with almost bleach like discoloration. The owner said "sorry I can't help you because you use deodorant and that caused the problem"Apparently I use deodorant on my back and stomach as well. Bottom line she refused to acknowledge their error and refused to replace the shirt. A small price to pay for all the future business lost from me and anybody else I can possibly warn! I always find people never praise a dry cleaner for good service but if they are not happy they will gladly write a bad review. I have used PSQ for almost 9 years now with a brief interruption going to CD One Price when their price was much cheaper. PSQ is not a high end dry cleaners. For men's shirts and pants they are the best and their price is fairly reasonable other than laundried shirts which is now $1.49 each which is high in today's market. I will never use this cleaners again. I brought a few blouses and a jacket there to be dry cleaned. I was happy with the jacket (they removed a stain from a previous cleaners); however one of the blouse was completely frayed! She said there's no way they could of done that because they put it "directly into a bag" The owner said it must have been like that before. After I warned my family not to go there my mother decided to give them another chance. She brought in a few blouses and a sweater. The sweater had sequins on it and they told her for an extra charge they would "take special care of it" When she went to go pick up the sweater had a HOLE in it and a blouse still had a stain on it. The owner again claimed the hole was there but my mother said she checked everything before and it was not. The owner offered to "fix it" and see what happens. I routinely travel to Chicago area for business and used them once due to an emergency. They were very courteous and were very accommodating about the fact that I needed a rush job. Being from Manhattan, I might be slightly biased but I found their prices to be above and beyond reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work. In spite of some very bad reviews, I took the risk, desperately needing some dry cleaning done before a business trip. I dropped off a handful of shirts and two pairs of pants, picking up the next day. And...it was fine. I'm not going to say it was the best dry cleaning job in the universe? But they were pressed, the creases were straight, nothing shrunk, and nothing was damaged. Plus, they use paper tags, which I like since it means they're not writing on my shirts like some other places. Now, it's a ways from my house, so it's not like I'll be a frequent customer? This was my first time here, and definately my last! I took an expensive winter coat in to be drycleaned, and when I picked it up and took it home, noticed the zipper had been damaged beyond use. I went back and spoke with the manager, Nancy, who refused to take responsibility for the damage, and proceeded to tell me I should get a coat with buttons next time. She won't take your items unless they are perfect with no stains, etc. She is very rude and yells at you in front of other customers. There is a good thing about PSQ Libertyville - they do not iron trousers as hot as others (which causes them to become glossy). Now to the less good things: 1. Do not expect them to be fast or flexible. Dropping off your clothes and asking for next day? No - never. 2. Friendly staff? not really. ok - keep reading. 3. Quality (stain removal) ? NO!! Picking up the first time, the stain was still there. CLEARLY visible. Asking about trying to remove it (now, as I wait)? No way. Come back in 3 days! Coming back in 3 days - stain still there ! Inquiring what they can do about it - nothing. Talked to the manager (owner?) - no way. Maybe a refund (for coming 3 times, still having stains) - that's when she started yelling at me. Beware, they do not care if you remain a customer or not. I have been going to PSQ for three months, spending two hundred dollars a month on dry cleaning. I own two dogs and yes there is pet hair on my dirty clothes(one reason I get them dry-cleaned). I tried to drop off 30 garments today and the owner came over and pulled 8 items out that she said were "too hard to clean". I was in shock. I told her that"s why I brought them here. They do ok work, however, you can't use debit/ credit card for the coupons they send you. Also, $10.00 min for cleaning before you can use debit/ credit card. I don't know of any other business that do this. Even McDonalds lets you use a credit/ debit card for as little as a cup of coffee. This policy stinks! I was real surprised to see the negative reviews here. I've had nothing but good service from PSQ. With that said, I've only had them do my dress shirts and they've never been stained or excessively dirty. They always come out looking great and I've never had an issue. Some more enthusiasm from the counter clerk would be nice, but you can't expect too much from a teenager working at a dryclean. My first and last visit to this establishment. I wish I had read reviews before going there. I had brought a comforter and a dust ruffle to be dry cleaned. The first shock was that the price was the same for each item. However, because the comforter was less than other places, I was ok with the cost. When I went o pick up these items, they could not fend them After waiting for a long time to speak to someone, another person found the items - at the bottom of a cart with a mound of uncleaned clothing on top of my items. I was told that they had called, which they had not, to inform me that the items could not be cleaned. When I asked why, I was shown 2 very tiny holes in the dust ruffle. This made no sense to me as those holes have been there for several years and no other cleaner had been unable to clean it. When I asked why the comforter had not been cleaned, I was told that it was too hot to clean it. That was a new one for me1 I had taken the items in during May and it certainly was not hot then, but then the whole idea of it being too hot to clean something was beyond me. Beware! read more

Although I do not require weekly dry cleaning, whenever I did need it, this WAS my go-to place. After being an established customer, please allow me to state I will never return or recommend this cleaners to anybody. Please allow me to explain my experience. I dropped off my comforter to be cleaned this past Monday, of which they have cleaned many times previously. I went to pick it up on Saturday. The attendant could not locate it. After I described it, the attendant went to an over-sized canvas laundry basket on wheels filled with dirty laundry and dug deep down into the bottom. The next thing I know she pulls my comforter out, and proudly asks "Is this it?" Of course, it was mine. She then proceeded to inform me that they could not clean it. I asked why this was not expressed earlier, and asked why they didn't have the courtesy to call me. The attendant had no answer. I am so disgusted that my comforter has been sitting in other people's filth for six days. I have no idea what other germs, vomit, urine, etc. was in that bin with my comforter. I asked to speak with the owner/manager. Nancy came to speak with me. She recognized me as a customer. Nancy could care less. She was not the least bit apologetic.
