I recently went in for a reading by a woman whose name starts with a J (I can't remember her name) and I was incredibly disappointed. When I asked the staff what kinds of "psychics" they had available for readings they read off a list of who they had and what their specific "abilities" were. I chose a reading from J because she claims to be able to read energies that come through such as loved ones, ghosts and entities. I chose the 15 minute reading for $20, and while she seemed nice she definitely wasn't truthful about her so called abilities. I mentioned how my grandpa died and she instantly said "alcoholism" so confident when in fact he was very religious, never touched alcohol and died from a brain tumor. The whole time when she was claiming that someone was "coming through to her" she would look off to the side as if she was listening and it seemed almost too obvious that she was trying to make it seem as if she could hear from the other side. She said very general things with the information that I gave her that anyone would say in any normal conversation. I opened up to her and told her some things about my family and issues with it and it almost seemed like a therapy session rather than a psychic reading that I was paying for. She was very nice but the whole time I had this feeling that it wasn't real and that maybe she was claiming to have more abilities than what she actually had. Ok Part 2. Purchased a lip balm product which was clerk highly recommended to be effective. Tried. When opened product seemed faulty, no essential oil scent at all and ineffective. Had a reading here with a couple friends about two weeks ago. I paid for the 30 minute, individual reading for $20 with a dude named Walter. When I got in the room, I had a good feeling about the reading, and was intrigued and excited. He started off by saying "nothing was set in stone." He shuffled and threw random cards out from every area of the deck into a spread I had never seen before. He glanced at the spread and sat thinking to himself for a few minutes and then said "I see things working for you." I was like okay, hoping he would clarify further. Then he randomly told me a family member would be hit with unexpected health issues. He then said someone at my old job was talking poorly about me, and that I would never have a large circle of friends. For the last 10 minutes of my reading, he randomly shuffled his cards, throwing randoms out and coming up with the most vague response as to why said card come out of the deck. He did not take any time to learn anything about me, and when I asked if I could ask the cards a question, he rudely replied "just ask me." I asked for clarification with my family member, and he replied "it could be as simple as a car accident." ... how are car accidents simple....? Horrible experience and complete waste of money. I gave him the $20 (they only take cash by the way, probably so Walter can avoid tax), and left with anxiety for the next 4 days over what was going to happen with my reading. If you ever book here, avoid Walter at all costs or just leave. The worst part is, he looked at my $20 bill confused, as if he should be tipped for his wildly in accurate and anxiety inducing "reading." read more

I was super disappointed today when I went in to this location to shop. I frequent the other location on eastern often and have nothing but fantastic experiences. I went in looking for a crystal gift for a friend, as well as a tarot deck, and possibly a singing bowl. This location is much bigger so inwas stoked. I have come here multiple times. While the staff is mostly friendly (just sometimes a little stand-offish and not very knowledgeable), I am not a big fan of the store's vibe in general. The fact that different religions and practices are mixed together is not appropriate. They should consider reorganizing items based on their respective belief systems. This is simply a matter of respect and reverence for each belief system. It also would allow people to find what they need a lot more quickly. The staff needs to be a little more helpful and knowledgeable. If I have questions and they don't have answers, it can be a little frustrating. And I don't mean questions based on specific religious practices- I mean pretty basic questions like the uses for specific crystals, which candle colors are best for what, what incense does what, what the usage of specific items are, etc- just simple basic things. It would also be helpful if they were a lot more familiar with their inventory- specifically herbs and oils. It is annoying when I am trying to find a specific herb or oil and they have no clue if they have it or not. I honestly feel like this geared more towards tourists rather than local practicioners. I will say that at least they have an extensive inventory, with pretty good quality items- I would, however, like to know where specific items, like their sage or palo santo, are harvested from because there are specific ethical issues regarding the harvesting of them based in their endangered status. Also- I want to ensure when I buy specific items from certain belief systems that my money is going towards the actual people of the culture versus to someone just carelessly creating something without the cultural knowledge, wisdom and intent. (Dreamcatchers for instance- I prefer to buy those from places that specifically purchase their inventory from Native American tribes because that money goes back to the tribe and helps them to keep their culture alive and take care of their people.) read more

The smells and the sounds penetrate your senses as your eyes dart from one unique lil object to the next. It's a great place to go for a different sort of gift, psychic readings or just to browse. If I could give zero stars I would. I won't be returning to their store anymore after this, so they have lost a repeat customer. I had a reading a month or two ago at this same location and it wasn't vert good. Then yesterday took the cake. I had another reading with a different person, "Walter". During a very short conversation before we started, I did tell him I read tarot and read for myself but that for me it is just a hobby. He tells me at one point that he is nervous and feels I would be giving him competition! I think he was really just nervous because he is not that good at it...and afraid that I would catch if he messed up a card meaning. That doesn't mean you don't have to talk about the cards you're pulling and the spread you're doing...just because I read for myself. He went on to basically act short and annoyed for my whole 30 minute reading without explaining very much at all about what he was pulling during the reading. I got nothing out of my reading really. Here's the kicker...I had a 30 minute in-person reading which is $30 I had sat out my $40 cash at the beginning because normally, I like to get the payment part out of the way first, plus get my change back. He ignored the money until the end of my reading, and at the end of my reading takes the $40 and puts it away! Doesn't even offer me my change and I guess assumes the extra tip is for him! At least offer change and accept the tip if that is the case but you DO need to offer the customer change. If you need money that bad, maybe you should look into a personal loan instead of doing that to the customer. Perhaps Magic the Gathering cards are more his thing! read more

The quality and variety of products definitely depends on which locations you go to. The eastern and Silverado location is pretty sparse, especially for the price of the products. The west Charleston and Mccarran and eastern locations are amazing. Their readers at the Mccarran location are also amazing. Definitely worth checking out! read more
