There's just something about walking into a fully stocked bookstore. That new book smell hits you like a brand-new car scent, and instantly your mood lifts. This Barnes & Noble has that comforting, nostalgic atmosphere that makes you want to wander the aisles for hours. They have a cozy café inside, perfect for grabbing a coffee or snack while you browse or flip through a few chapters before committing. We stopped in hoping to find the full Demon Slayer manga collection (volumes 1-23). They didn't have the complete boxed set, but they did have most of the volumes available individually. Plus there is a special going on that is buy one manga, get the next 50% off sale, which is always a win. One thing I love about this location is that it's not just books. There are puzzles, toys, Lego sets, and gift items tucked in every corner. Honestly, it's just as exciting for kids as it is for adults. The children's section is huge, with little tables and comfy seating areas where you can sit and read with your little ones. It feels welcoming and unhurried, like they want you to stay awhile. Overall, it's the kind of place that reminds you why bookstores are still so special. Whether you're hunting for something specific or just browsing for inspiration, this Barnes & Noble makes the experience enjoyable.

Staff were super helpful/informative and actually took the time out to help me find some of the titles that I was looking for. Most of the titles that I wanted were in stock and I was able to purchase in store. There were two books that they didn't have in stock, but the sales person offered to place an online order for me. It was a great experience per usual from the best bookstore in the world.

Me and my children visit this location quite often and we never really receive above and beyond service, but this visit was different. We were instantly greeted at the door (which never happens), the greeter even provided a shopping bag (which I've never received), and there were employees on deck to answer questions (which is rare). There was one employee in particular who helped us throughout our visit. I was looking for SEL resources for my students and although the selection was minimal, she offered to search online and have them shipped. Also, for my leisurely reading, I was looking for a specific author and not only did she show me the selection, but she was knowledgeable about the author's series and able to recommend books! After check out, we went to the cafe and our helpful friend was actually on break and in line for coffee! Even on her break, she took time to chat with me and my children and informed us about the summer reading program. Mind you, I had just spent a ton of money on books (for a great value since it was a Memorial Day sale), and the cashier never mentioned the summer reading program. Nonetheless, the all star of our visit was Mariah! Thank you, Mariah, for going above and beyond, being a shining representation of incredible cu

Everyone is always so kind here but I want to give a shout out to the cafe team for always being welcoming and going out of their way to bring me my food and coffee. Great job. Since this Starbucks is operated by Barnes and nobles they have Cheesecake Factory cupcakes and cheesecake to offer. They have a special of a $1 off a cupcake so most of the pastries are under 4 dollars each.

A good chain bookstore. Not sure if I've ever experienced a great book store in this city. Nevertheless, I'd consider it a Las Vegas staple. I would consider them small compared to some bookstores I've been to in other large cities. However, Las Vegas is not known nor do people come here to visit the book stores (at least not to my knowledge). It's nice. Has a coffee café (chain as well). If they don't have what you're looking for they'll attempt to order it for you. They occasionally have special events such as in store 'story time' for kids, and lately I've seen adverts for "virtual" events with authors to discuss their book(s). They have webpages which offer a plethora of data regarding what B&N has to offer; including coupons/discounts of the moment.

Current hours: Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 7pm Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm Sunday, 11am to 6pm Inside is bright, spacious, and beautifully organized! I love how the entire boutique is wonderfully furnished and cleverly decorated in awesome LEGO themes, it makes the place feel so inviting, happy, and playful! I wanted to see what books are available, and they have an amazing genre selection for sci fi & fantasy, history, magic & mythology, science & tech, self development, social science, reference, suspense & thrillers, crime & mystery, young adult, romance, and classics. They also have cool books for cooking, mixology, brewing, humour, gaming (like Dungeons & Dragons), plus a used books section. In the far back corner is a super cute children's area. I'm impressed! Buffy's Book Boutique is no ordinary bookshop and offers so much more. They sell various cute merchandise like magnetic bookmarks, tote bags, and stickers. There's snack bins for potato chips! There's a Buffy's Book Club too! They meet every month, and you can find the schedule on their website. They even host fun events like a Book Bedazzling class! There's one coming up on September 5, 2026 at 5pm to 8pm. It's $20, and they provide all the supplies. Also, they're the only bookstore that offers Coptic Bookbinding. Pricing is $30. I noticed an upcoming workshop for Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 3pm to 7pm. This is a great class for people who have attended a workshop before or consider themselves crafty. I checked the availability and found out that the class is full, and they fill up fast! They do offer it every weekend, so you definitely want to book ahead. Just a note, they're having a release party for the new Sarah J. Maas book, celebrating A Court of Thorns And Roses Book 6, coming on October 26, 2026 at 8pm to 10pm. Ticket price is $15, or $45 for the book and event entry. Overall, this was an exciting and pleasant visit! The staff here is very kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and helpful!

RIP, mate~ // I have always fancied the solitary aspect of immersing in literary works. It is, however, concurrently delightful to strike up a conversation in an independent bookstore with fellow overzealous ''reading freaks,'' as noted in a reflection one is bound to catch in its chambers. 'twas such a pleasure witnessing Laytart being equally as enraptured as me when he spoke about death, oddities, and literature, hah~ x // When geomagnetic storms ignited luminescent polar auroras and when the lines of magnetic force between Earth and the sun intersected with one another, the center of the "X" spot where the lines met was where a magnetic portal formed: Avantpop Bookstore. Anyhow, if you are ever in Sin City, fire up your rocket's spark igniters and make your way to new land. Quoting Aunt Ida from Female Trouble (1974), ''The world of the heterosexual is a sick and boring life.'' Upholstered with revolutionary scholars, the Beat Generation, Gonzo journalism, political defiance, banned classics, local artists and activists, rare gems, individualistic figures of all sorts, and the filth of John Waters, you are, rest assured, in for a ''Divine,'' queer experience. Parallel to that thought, if you ever synthesize a penchant for somber, witty poetry, luxuriate yourself in some of Avantpop co-owner, Laytart's, written works-best served with a joint in hand. In the course of frolicking around the shelves, you may wonder how much your birth mother despises you, but ahhh, you need not fret for you will be reminded Gaia loathes your guts just as much. When asked to solve for x, the Chris Korda piece that lies before you hints the solution: X = Save the planet; kill yourself. *Whistles Dada in the streets of Boston to the tune of The Smiths' ''Panic on the streets of London.''* At some point, I am quite certain you will start to hear Rod Serling narrate your life. Where has this review even gone? Oh, the places you will go~ x Overall, you will be departing from the shop glowing in the dark, developing an itch you cannot scratch, which forms a gaping hole in your torso, and leaving you to wonder if the intestine emerged before the tapeworm~ x
