We have the pleasure of having Angie as our son's speech therapist. We love Angie. Zev had a…read morespeech therapist for about 5 months before her, and then we got Angie right after he turned 2. At that point he wasn't even saying 10 words, and we weren't sure if he really understood anything we were saying. I remember pretty clearly our second session with Angie where I was tickling Zev. He was clearly enjoying himself and would take my hands to tickle him more. And Angie just told me to wait the next time he wanted to be tickled, and I waited with my hands in tickle position for what seemed to be forever (was probably more like 15 to 20 seconds) and sure enough Zev looks at me and said "tickles". What a moment. Now we are about 8 months later and Zev's 10 word vocabulary is around 200 words. Angie does much more than work with Zev, she works with me. She gives me tips and strategies so I can work with him since I'm the one who spends so much time with him. Not only is she great as far as her knowledge and skill set, but also her caring, professionalism and flexibility. If we've had anything in our schedule come up or a holiday or whatever it is, she's always helped us find a way/time to get each and every session in, that we have never had to miss one. What really impresses me about Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group is that they meet as a team to talk about their kids. Zev had sensory issues that needed to be worked through to get the most out of his therapy sessions. Angie would mention that when they meet at her office, she'll often bring up Zev to an OT and get their thoughts and there is collaboration within their group to think of an all-around approach to each child (I'm assuming it's not just my child).

After almost 5 weeks I asked if my dad had been given a shower. The staff showed me the shower schedule but nobody knew if he actually received the showers. We also asked for a pediatrist to take care of my dad's nails. The staff said my dad's name was on the list but 5 weeks later still no pediatrist. Some of the staff are very uncaring and boarderline rude. I'm not sure why they feel these patients have to sit in their wheel chairs for 4 hours?? After physical therapy and occupational therapy they're wheeled into the lounge to eat lunch then left until they've reached the 4 hour mark. Most fall asleep after they've eaten so they're just slumped over. On the positive side, dad was having stomach and leg pains and x-rays were able to be taken from his room. The food was good except for the chicken, it was always hard.

Our child made very little progress and at no point in the YEAR of therapy were any goals or progress shared with us -- I don't think the therapists wrote any goals which is extremely poor form. The practice seems to have high turnover -- our first therapist left after a few months. Perhaps most annoying we asked for a meeting to discuss our concerns with the owner and our therapist, and we didn't even receive a response. We had to follow up a second time and tell them we weren't paying for any more therapy until we had a meeting. We are looking for a new OT . . .

But I do have agree with the billing department they are the worse ever. I have experienced the worse dealing with...... two of the three I have dealt with. they are nasty unprofessional and never ever keep the billing straight. We have had the best experience and our daughter has shown great improvements. If it wasn't for our OT and Social Worker we would have left along time ago due the the billing department.

To be clear of my experience: Therapist was outstanding…read more Reason behind my rating: When I had originally enrolled my son to work with this facility my first and most important request was that he would have the ability to work with the same therapist. In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.

Working with Emma Marshall for the past 11 months we have achieved 100% full range of motion and approx 70% of my strength back in a shoulder that needed a total replacement. According to the surgeon and the hospital staff, the pre-surgery therapy was perfect for me has laid out by Advanced Physical Therapy. My post surgical therapy went very well. All of the attention to detail and working with my personality made it very easy to keep going. Everybody I was in contact with from reception through my therapist Cassandra they made me feel very much at ease and at home. I would very highly recommend this facility and people to anyone needing to have physical therapy. I do not normally give five stars but this place is that good!
