This was my Very First time ever visiting this PT's Place here on Decatur Blvd. In the Walmart Plaza. I met a friend there but the funniest thing I did was Ring the doorbell in the afternoon. I never grabbed the door handle and when I pulled the door it opened and Everyone inside was looking at me lol. I said to myself, Welp that's one way to get folks attention lmao. Once I reached to the back of the Sports Bar I saw my friend. He asked, Was I hungry? If you know me, then you already know the answer to anything pertaining to food. A nice friendly woman walked over to from behind the bar. Of course I asked her name. Paulette from Ohio gave such awesome service and good digestive conversations with us. I ended up trying the wings, and fries. The wings we asked to be Extra Crispy, (10 piece) I should've asked for ALL FLATS SMDH. I will inquire if I should ever return though. My ten piece came with Celery, Carrots, Ranch, and or Bleu Cheese dressings. The fries weren't the types of fries that I'm use to (more like a Rally's potato fries) or Checker's style. Outside of that my meal came hot, and decent to gobble down. The sauces I chose were Sweet Chile, and Buffalo Medium (wet not dry rubs). Visited 05/27 8:00 PM This place was awful, the entire experience from start to finish wasn't it coming from someone who is in the service industry (bartender). It was older, run down, and had terrible air filtration for the smoke. Walked in and immediately ambushed by a security guard chewing on a straw like we were at a huge major bar/club asking for I.d.'s when normal PT's or any bar settings when you sit down at the bar if there's a question of age your asked by a bartender. It was super unwelcoming. Sat down and it took 20 mins for the bartender to acknowledge us. We ordered Pepsi and a shock top.... the beer was so bad, it tasted bad, and it smelt bad. My wife didn't drink it so it just sat full while we played $30 worth of Keno. Ordered to club sandwiches which we were under the impression as disclosed on the menu it would come with green chili aioli & I asked for no tomato. Chef brought our food out and they both had mayo no sign of this aioli described on the menu & mine had tomato. Asked for ranch & he brought it out says to me I read the ticket yours is not supposed to have tomato so he takes it back and removes it. Wasn't expecting so much mayo so I was pretty turned off by it at 1/4 of my sandwich The bartender walked by a few times noticed we weren't feeling it check on us a few times so we asked for the bill, she took 1 sandwich off because she noticed we barley ate it at all. All in all the bartender was nice a bit slow but nice! Security had a huge ego & wasn't friendly. Chef was kind. This location is one of my go-to spots. Most bars don't carry my drink of choice (Seagram Seven Whiskey) but this location does- thankfully! 3 pool tables and a Jukebox. Bartender's are always friendly. I never win money here but a friend of mine hit on Keno for about $900 while we were there recently. Clutch spot- I always stop through here. read more

It has the vibe of a dive bar. The food really misses the mark though, which is sad because dive bars normally have really good food. Our service was great. The other thing that was a disappointment was the smoking allowed inside the bar. It's 2024, not 1984. It's the worst to come out smelling like cigarettes. read more

I had little faith that I would enjoy the environment of PT's Place as well as the food, but after three years of being a Las Vegas resident I figured it was time to finally come and check this place out. We first checked out the location on the corner of Sahara and Decatur, but they didn't have food so we headed to this location for that full menu experience. I was pleasantly surprised that this located didn't reek of cigarettes so we ended up grabbing a table and taking a look at the menu. The bar/restaurant itself is pretty massive and offers pool tables, a full bar, plenty of TV's playing whatever games are on, and even has some darts to throw as well. The menu is full of burgers, sandwiches, wings, and even a bunch of pizza to choose from. I was super curious of what the wings were like so I ordered the five wings and french fries combo. I will say, I think $14.99 for five wings is kind of crazy for a bar, but the food itself was pretty solid once it came out. The sauce was good, the wings were meaty and a solid size, and the french fries on the side were a good pairing. Overall, PT's Place is a solid local spot to just hang out. I enjoyed the food, enjoyed the service, and enjoyed the overall environment as well. Will I be back? Most likely, there's so many locations around the city and sometimes you just want to hang out and eat some bar food, so I'll most certainly be back. read more

Super slow service and a really small cramped space. Not my favorite place to go for happy hour or to watch football but I go because it's near work. Good beer specials but crummy service in an unclean bar. I'm surprised it's so poorly run considering it's part of a chain. Lots of parking is available and there are pool tables for use. The bar takes up most of the restaurant. If you want alcohol, slow service, and sub par bar food, this is the place for you. read more

I visited this PT's the last two Saturdays and I'm very disappointed. One of the bartenders seemed nice, but unfortunately the waitress I ended up with (by the pool tables, wearing a bedazzled mask) was extremely rude. Both times I went, I felt extremely unwelcome. The first time I went, I thought maybe she had a rough day or assumed my friend and I wouldn't tip because we looked young. I ordered water THREE TIMES till she finally brought me some (I also ordered drinks and food btw). She had a horrible attitude and made my friend and I feel super unwelcome. I let it slide and still tipped her 20% because I assumed she had a rough day. I returned yesterday with 3 other friends and still, she was extremely rude off the bat. My friends (who had never visited this PTs before) said so too, even before I had told them she was rude last week as well. It's sucks because I would really like to visit this location since it's pretty close to me, but I guess I'll just avoid it whenever she's there. read more

This is a very typical PT's location. When we walked in and were a little surprised by how bright it was for a bar. We were expecting it to be quite dark like the rest of the locations we have visited. We were meeting a group here for an evening of drinks and pool. The service was really great. I was quite impressed by how attentive our waitress was and how easily she was able to keep our rather large party happy. I was, however, completely turned off by how smoky and smelly this place is. Decent daily HH, but food quality was lower and prices higher than expected. Service was dismal at best. Convenient to my 'hood but can't see myself returning, not sure how they have so many locations unless this was out of the norm for them. One waitress for whole place, but only three tables. Still barely saw her and had a mistake on our order. It was fixed and she was polite but not particularly attentive. When not serving she was seated at the bar watching a screen and drinking from a mug, maybe she wasn't feeling well. Menu describes wings using the word "giant" but I found them quite small- one in the bucket was literally the size of my car key. Medium buffalo sauce was spot-on, regular and curly fries are both tasty. Standard bar fare, really. Website menu lists a November special of soup and sandwich, but those specials were nowhere to be seen on in-store materials. If only there was a 0 star option...this is the worst service I have ever received at PTs. Today, 7/5/20 at 4 pm I walked in with my friend and we were not acknowledged at all. I had to linger near the pool table and the bar to get the girls attention. She would not come to take our order, so I walked up to her and asked if I could get 2 shots of patron which I didnt receive for 8-10 minutes.....Instead of bringing us our drinks she held it and talked to her coworker.... We took a break from playing pool and asked if we could sit at a table...the only table she gave us was a DIRTY one. We told her it was dirty and she looked at us annoyed and literally just sprayed it. She didnt even wipe it down?! Seriously, that isn't okay any other day but during a PANDEMIC?! Completely unacceptable and disturbing. ON TOP of that snotty attitudes and the unsanitary actions....she added an AUTOMATIC GRATUITY. That is not allowed when its only 2 people there for a 20 minute visit. I am beyond angry and disappointed as we are regulars at PTs. I refuse to ever go back to this location. I suggest going to the Rainbow and Alta location as you will always be treated with respect and get taken care of. read more

Extremely disappointed in this location. Visited last night due to my usual spring mountain location having full machines.. after losing upwards of $80 I get my tab with 0 comps. I had to have the bartender (white male , 50+yrs) review my play again and re print my tab ( just after another patron 3 seats away just ripped him apart for the same issue ). I ordered their "famous" lightly breaded tenders only to get home and find a box full of Tyson hard garbage you would find in the dollar store. At this point in furious and I call to leave my name for a refund/re order. i am now back in the restaurant and they are giving me a hard time about a damn receipt like I would have time to make this pathetic s*** up. I literally asked if it was the same recipe at all locations before I put the order in. So the bartender proceeds to tell me she's giving me the refund out of her own tips and how it's not usual, pretty much giving herself multiple pats on the back and then tries to tell me next time you should check the food... it took me everything in my power not to put her in her place at her place of work.. girl knock it off and refund me smh this is a business. Very disappointed. If a customer revisits the scene of the incident just make a right and don't throw all this corporate rule book nonsense around. Can never go wrong with a casual pts stop!!! But this one was different its alot bigger then the pts im normally just wander into and this one they actually greet you when you come inside. Now me personally I like to see if the bartenders know some basic drinks. Not only was I impressed with how much the bartender knew but while training at the sametime. Jennifer, who wouldn't tell me which Jennifer she was after she viewed my yelp app, was so unpleasant and rude. I came in to the bar after a long hot day of shopping and just wanted to have a cold drink but that didn't happen. I order a beer and she wanted to know bottle for draft. My response was the better valve per ounce. She couldn't figure it out so she replied "which ever one you want. " I said the better value per ounce. She still would not give me want I wanted maybe because she had no education. Jennifer then told me she wouldn't service me. I couldn't believe it. This is one of my favorite places to just hang out, have a drink and watch the game, or gamble. It is officially licensed as a casino, so they do serve food along with allowing smoking. The ventilation is pretty good at this location, so its not too smoggy in there. The swing shift bartenders are awesome (Alyssa & Ben), and seem to never forget a name or face - or drink for that matter. There is a decent local following at this location, lots of the same faces, young and old, most of the time. They have a decent variety of beers on tap, which I appreciate, because I hate beers like Bud, Miller, etc. Our favorite is the black velvet - Guinness floated on pear cider (some people call it a snakebite). The menu is your standard bar food. I love the chili cheese fries and the nachos. Be wary of ordering any of the monthly food specials though. I don't know who comes up with these weird combinations, but I've never had a good one. Stick with the main menu. I've had better luck here with the poker machines here than any casino in town. That's not to say that there haven't been days where I've lost my britches. They have progressive machines, but watch where you sit if you want to play it, not all of the machines are on the progressive. A few of the machines are triple play, but not many. Their players reward program is decent. If you're gonna play, make sure to sign up for it so you get the meal comps/discounts and cash rewards. There are also three pool tables, which are often busy, and couches with big screen TV's. The place is clean and maintained well. The only problem with this location is the women's bathroom has some sort of ventilation problem that flares up at times (sewer stink) so I have to knock 1 star off for that. But other than that, the best PT location in town, hands down. read more

I always come here after a shitty day at school to drink my life away. The environment is very nice, very typical neighborhood bar theme, and the drinks are cheap. There's the occasional asshat of a customer that always tries to talk to me, and I have to tell them to go hang themselves to get them away from me, but I don't really blame the bar for that. It is a bar afterall. Food is a little on the expensive side, depending on what you get. Particularly the chicken buckets, but it still tastes good. So to "rant" on about how I'm disappointed about how Jason handled himself was poor. He said I was messing with his flow because I wanted to know what the happy hour was. He was "too" busy for him to do his job right. As a local I've been to a lot of pt's and this one stuck out and not in a good way. I think this pts has the grossest bathrooms of all the land. Maybe I came in on a non cleaning bathroom day? But there were things/fluids/bugs caked on the stall. The pig tailed bartender was not as bad as the bathroom but did have some attitude. She did get our drink order right away gave us menus and left to be on her phone and ignore her customers for a good ten minutes(?) Then she was ready to take our food order. My boyfriend and I planned on grabbing a drink and app but I thought twice, due to the bathroom/bartender situation. But he was really hungry so he convinced me to get the nachos with him. God this place is ran by idiots. I've been coming here sometime now and the waitress has always been a little ditzy and not that great at her job but tolerable. A few days ago she was particularly more incompetent than usual. I was in a table with four if my friends of whom I was train to introduce to this bar. She took the beer order of a guy next to us, then brought his beer later and took the food order, then brought the sandwich and never once did she ask us if we we needed a beer or food for that matter. As she was walking away I got her attention with an "Excuse us" as she did a slow 180 while rolling her eyes. We asked for our beers and a food menu. Now she has seen me several times but asked for all of our IDs including mine. I have her my voided drivers license which can now only be used as an ID, the real one is in the mail. She said she could not take it that I need the drivers license paper. I argue against so she involves her manager which today confirmed is just as inept. He says I need that paper. I let him know that this was not an issue the previous day when their internet was down and could not take credit cards. He said he'd make the exception this once because what else could he do. I assure him that just because I did not have the paper to rest assured that my age has not reduced since they stamped it VOID. We drank one beer and when she never returned for our food order we got our check and left. Today I come in and this time I leave my ID in the car and ask to be served. He asks for the paper and provide it to him and point out where it says that it isn't a valid form of ID. So I ask him if this is just valid for driving why do you need it? "That's just the way it is" he replies. So after reading that he asks for my license and I let him know that it's not on me. He replies that he can't serve me then. At this point it was obvious he had an agenda and too dumb to admit he was in error and provide customer service. We left and I won't return now. Too many bars in this town to deal with idiots. There are enough tv screens in the place so there is no bad seat in the house. The only thing that hindered a perfect score for me was the lack of the happy hour during the Super Bowl game. I only started coming here because it's close to my parent's house, so I could walk to their house if I drank too much. That's never been the case, thankfully, but I still go there because it's a cool place. The food is pretty good and quick and cheap, the beers are cold and they come to you quick, and the bartenders are cool dudes. It's a really cool neighborhood spot where you have a drink or two with friends, but not a Strip-type establishment where everything is ostentatious and pricey. read more

I have to admit I was hesitant to return to this location but I'm glad I did. Tuesday nights Troy is there and by far the best bartender I have met in the city. Attentive and drinks are amazing. He even has his own menu of drinks and all I've tried have been great! I only come here when Troy is there because of his experience as a bar tender and customer service.
