BAKED SOFT PRETZEL BITES - absolutely incredible!!! So yummy and only $10!!
Nicole W.

What an incredible vibe AND find!!! My husband and I decided to ride down to this bar by our house and I'm SO HAPPY we did! We were able to have a little quick date night - hanging out, eating yummy food while drinking tasty drinks is ALWAYS a win!!! Thank you so much Mark for being the most incredible bartender we've had in awhile! I appreciate your hard work (and jokes lol) so much, I truly had such an incredible time! We'll be back for sure!

Had one of the best Reubens and some very tasty sweet potato fries, along with a great hand battered fish and chips. Corned beef was as good as my Irish wife's. Don't tell her. Chips could use an improvement though. Service was excellent and very helpful. Comfy seats, good music, nice atmosphere, but a light smell of cigarette smoke lingers.

The not so good "Guinness Steak Sandwich"
Ben V.

My 1st time here and will probably be my last time. I will however start with the positive things. The ambiance is very nice and cozy. Very comfortable. The service from the bartenders is good. The beer is very good. Unfortunately that is all that is nice. I had lunch there. I ordered the Guinness Steak Sandwich. GUINNESS STEAK SANDWICH Guinness spread, Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, dark ale mustard, steak roll, and choice of fries or onion rings.  $14 I ordered the steak medium. The steak was very well done. Even more disappointing was how the sandwich was prepared. The steak was not sliced, as a steak sandwich should be, and was served whole in the bun. It was very difficult to eat. If I wanted to chew and tear into a well done steak with my hands I would have ordered a steak and simply eaten it with my hands. The flavors in the description were not noticeable. No taste of "Dark Ale Mustard" barely noticed any swiss cheese. And as far as what the sandwich was named for, the Guinness spread, forget about that too. Having the uncut piece of steak occupy the sandwich uncut ruined any chance of tasting anything else. When I asked the waitress she said PT's Pub, who owns Sean Patrick's, said, the instructions to the cooks on how to prepare the sandwich are to leave the steak whole. Last, the portion of the entire meal was small. If you are hungry this will not fill you up. Well, maybe, if you have a beer. All in all I was not satisfied with Sean Patrick's.

Formerly known as Kavanaugh's, PT's now has ownership over this former chain of Irish Pubs and has dubbed all four locations "Sean Patrick's". I was eager to check out the "new" Kavanaugh's. The transition to new ownership is marked by an emphasis on the pub part of the establishment - the former dining area now has a pool table and a brand new shuffle board. Sean Patrick's is less restaurant focused as evidenced by the disappearance of dining tables. The menu has been streamlined and although there are still a few Irish classics, the menu decidedly reflects it's new PT's parent. There's plenty of pizza, wings, and fries to go around. I ordered the Taco Salad and ordered it as a wrap ($9.99). My husband ordered the pretzel bites ($8.99). The food's a bit pricier than I would like for bar food, but everything we ordered was great! The pretzel bites are excellent for sharing - they came on a good size plate with 3 rows. The wrap and fries were plenty enough for 2, and we were both full at meal's end. The total bill for an appetizer and wrap came to around $22 before tip. I'm not sure if the employees were transitioned or replaced with the PT acquisition, but the service could use some improvement. At first it seemed to be a problem of being understaffed, but it soon became apparent the problems ran deeper than that. Our server provided average service (there's a difference between restaurant service and bar service) with our table, and we were fine with that. We did see, however, one customer who was dining in another area walk up to the bar with two empty cokes in hand and wait for refills. Shortly after another guy from the same area walked up to the bar and waited to pay his check. On top of this, the one waitress on duty was sitting at the bar busily chatting with a friend who had walked in. Again, no huge problems with our service but it was clear other customers were unhappy. Bar problems. Where's Jon Taffer? Overall, the grub is good and the service is okay. I'll be back to play some shuffleboard!!

We asked for suggestions since it was our 1st time here. Gene gave us a few suggestions which we got. Appetizer was Carne Asada Cheese Curds...fantastic! So good!! Meals were Rueben Sandwich with twisters (aka curly fries) and the fish n chips. Dessert- cookie skillet. A bit on the sweet side. Next time we won't get the caramel or chocolate syrup. Everything was fresh and hot. Appropriately priced and good portions. The Rueben corned beef was moist, tender and full of flavor. The marble rye was perfectly toasted. The fish batter was a little dark but the fish was moist. The coleslaw was small and wish there was more because it was perfect...i usually don't care for most coleslaw....and the fries! Probably the best fries I've had in a long time. Perfectly crispy and flufffy inside. The tarter sauce was good... not my favorite but not the worst I've had. I was worried we might get forgotten about being on the other side but that wasn't the case. Our overall thought was glad we came here vs Panda Express or Chipotle. Will we come back...yes!

These places offer a mostly American type menu that also includes breakfast dishes. The Aliante North Las Vegas Location is very spacious with a large bar and multiple dining areas. I DO NOTE THAT THIS LOCATION DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE HANDICAP SUITABLE. I wasn't able to explore the whole restaurant but I only saw one traditional table and it was up a few stairs. Nearly all the seating here are high tops. Also I can imagine nobody would be able to get a wheelchair into the entrance with that too close fence. They offer a nice variety of items on their menu. I thought the five different salads they offer seemed just right for lunch so I tried the Asian Chopped Salad. Our server was very helpful and asked if I wanted the dressing tossed into it or on the side. I received a nice large fresh salad. The chicken in it seemed freshly made and was OK. The major problem with the salad were the Fresno Chilies because they were unusually BURNING HOT. And I didn't notice it at the time but my salad was missing the cilantro and the scallions. But it still was a good salad. My husband really wanted a burger but here YOU CAN'T GET A MEDIUM-RARE BURGER because they only cook them medium-well. He went with the grilled Italian sandwich with fries. He said that the fries were very tasty. The sandwich was ok but not the best quality meats. Also the roll was grilled but still cold. If Yelp would allow me to give 3.5 stars that would be my rating for today. I rounded up because of nice service and my salad was still pretty good.

The bartenders are friendly, fast, and somehow know when you need another drink before you even emotionally process that your glass is empty. It's like they have ESPN, but for thirst. They check in just enough to make you feel taken care of without making you feel like you're being supervised on a field trip. The food deserves its own standing ovation. I don't know who is back there in the kitchen performing miracles, but everything came out hot, flavorful, and suspiciously better than bar food has any right to be. I ordered "just something small" and ended up guarding my plate like a medieval knight protecting treasure. Zero regrets. The vibe? Immaculate. Good music, good energy, and the kind of atmosphere where you accidentally stay three hours longer than planned and start telling strangers your life story. Now. I do have to mention the guy with the mullet. I don't know if he works there, owns the place, or is simply part of the décor--but he moves through the bar with an intensity that suggests he has either won multiple bar fights or could fix a motorcycle in under seven minutes. He hasn't done anything wrong. He hasn't even spoken. But the mullet commands respect. It's business in the front, mild intimidation in the back. That said, even the mysterious Mullet Energy adds to the charm. It keeps you humble. It keeps you alert. It keeps you ordering another round just to stay on his good side. All in all: phenomenal service, delicious food, great atmosphere, and one slightly intimidating hairstyle. Five stars. Would absolutely return--preferably with the mullet on my team

Hence, the entire draft selection at all of their locations consists of craft beers made by independent breweries. The centerpiece of this location at Tenaya is the impressive selection of 50 rotating craft beers on tap. This includes plenty of strong beers for hardcore craft beer enthusiasts like myself. Now, it also includes beers made by the newest location in their family, Evolve Brewing. The size of the location is also impressive. It is divided into a gaming tavern (with ashtrays and video poker machines on the bar), beerhall sports bar, outdoor patio, and private event space. To me, the most unique item on their food menu--and its claim to fame--is the Eddie Spaghetti pizza. As Aces & Ales has evolved--no pun intended--the business has placed more emphasis on its food menu. Historically, their kitchen was secondary to their draft selection. Now, the business wants to be a restaurant first, and taproom second. Upon being seated, you are handed oversize food menus with heavy lamination (as done at their Evolve Brewing location at The Bend). These overshadow the single beer menu provided separately on a smaller sheet of paper. The server is trained to use scripted language to further induce you to order food. In other words, it's not the kind of place you can come for a beer without being expected to order food. Though, that is what the name of the business implies. I'm okay with the concept of the restaurant being primary, and the craft beers secondary. As long as this is reflected in the business name. For example, why not call it, "Aces & Ales Tavern, Restaurant & Taproom"? Similarly, "Evolve Restaurant & Brewery"? Another surprise during my most recent visit came after paying my bill by credit card. The server returned with a receipt that included a 2.99% "credit card surcharge." First of all, why is it not rounded to the 3% that it really is? Secondly, this is not a typical fee charged by restaurants. Therefore, shouldn't it be disclosed to customers before accepting their credit card? Furthermore, does this lack of transparency have the potential to discourage repeat business? Or, more frequent business from regular customers?

Food- Burgers and Sandwiches are probably the go to. The burgers are pretty big and way better than most bars. From the Nashville Hot to the Tri Tip... they have fantastic options. Beers- Big Dogs always has good beers and on occasions they have some special ones that you think about years later. So my suggestion ask the bartender about some of their special beers. Some are truly one of a kind you'll wish you could have over and over. Happy Hour has some great beer specials too! Environment- This is where it gets tricky. The tap room is a 5 star. Always amazing bartenders who are so knowledgeable and make you want to come back. The Bar side is quite different. It is typically Smokey and the bartenders tend to be more focused on the gamblers and regulars. The patio also is a much different vibe from both the tap room and the bar.
