I love this pub when we're treated the way anyone would be treated at a bar. I brought in my friends and it was their first time there and I doubt they will never come here again.. I spend a lot of money at this bar, but I don't spend my money on poor service First of all we have never seen this waitress before, long brown curly hair and glasses not to mention a little chubby.. I will refuse to let her serve us if I decide to come back.. She got rude, within a half hour of being there she tried to cash us out, we did nothing but be kind with her and this is someone who didn't even bother to do her job right. She went on to not start a tab for us and then ask us if we were "behaving" when we were just trying to have a good time and we were laughing, and behaving lol, but she went on to pick at us and treat us like garbage. That's not how you get your tips and that's not how you keep regulars, she needs to get her shit together obviously. We ended up having to order our next drinks at the bar because we couldn't stand her. She went on to try and save her ass when we were telling the main bartender what was going on and also she talked smack about us to the other waitress.. We were not doing anything wrong!! I am done with this place. We have tried many times to give it another chance and it disappoints every time. We were there on Sunday afternoon and Bartender barely greeted us and never offered food. Finally another server took our order and then we never saw anyone again, but yet others at the bar top were taken care if around us. I've gone here on weekends for the music 3-4 times. We eat and drink. Recently I met up with friends for an evening of fun. Everything went wrong. The bartender was a jerk to us for ridiculous reasons or better stated, for no reason!!! He got verbally agressive and told us to leave! I met up with some friends here to recover from a horrible day at the office. As far as dive bars go, it was a comfortable space. I'm always nervous entering a dive bar for the first time. I picture a Wild West-type scene where everyone turns to stare, and the old man in the corner says they don't take kindly to strangers. But there was none of that, thankfully. I'm so glad that smoking is no longer allowed in bars because I imagine that, at one time, the space must have been completely hazy. There is a lot of seating so it's a great place to meet with friends. The drinks are inexpensive. I was disappointed there wasn't a single vegetarian entree on the menu, but the jalapeno poppers were very good and served hot. I got a Mike's Hard Lemonade + poppers + tip for $10. Not bad! There are several slot machines if you're into that sort of thing. Lots of large TV's so a great place to watch sports -- especially if you're a Trailblazer fan with DirecTV like me. The waitress was very friendly. In summary, check your expectations at the door and enjoy this laid-back bar. read more

It's been awhile since I've been here since I no longer live in the area & am a bus rider. But I LOVE this place!! For a few years I would have a November birthday party there for "Yahooer's". I would reserve the space & we had a lot of people there. I once tried asking if they wanted me to have the party somewhere else & was told NO WAY! When I would call & reserve they would remember us & give us first choice. Food is good & inexpensive. We would go on a Sat night & usually go back in for breakfast the next morning. We had a LOT of Yahoo get togethers there. I have even been known to go in by myself for lunch in the past. LOVE this place!! read more

What an terrible experience! Actually, the experience only lasted 20 minutes, that was enough time to form an opinion! Walked in there tonight to a bar that was maybe 1/3 full. We sat there for 20 solid minutes in the middle of the seating area, without as much as a hello from anyone! "Waitress" walking by, bar tender walked by...nothing! The three guys next to us found a single menu from somewhere, and were huddled around it like a bunch of school boys ogling over a dirty book..they never got swerved either.. It's packed. Pool tournament on Tuesdays. The bartender was super friendly. Great vibe so far!

They used to make these unbelievable beer battered french fries, but they have quit and are now serving the crapiest, cheapest fries with there burgers. Plus there hamburgers have gone way down hill. Lately it seems like everything that come out of there kitchen is made with the cheapest ingredients, which is sad because even though it is a little pub they used to make decent food. Robert was an amazing bartender. I'm not much of a dr in Nike and never know what to order. Before I could be that pain in the....customer, he offered and I accepted the drink special. He made me several delicious peach lemon drops, offered up the nightly dinner specials and the food was great! We've been here a few times, new to the area. Flo is a sweetheart! Extremely bad service! The waitress let me sit for 22 minutes before taking my drink order. She than let me sit for another 20 minutes with an empty glass. She never returned to the table, and I finally just put some money the table and left. I feel sorry for the owners. They need to find more competent help. I've come to this bar a few times with friends to grab drinks and I've had their dinner menu is the food is always SUPREB! This past Saturday, my friend wanted to go get breakfast. So she suggested Pub 181 since we both live 5 mins from the place. I was craving biscuits and gravy but also hash browns. Our server, I didn't get her name but she was so sweet! She suggested the Garver (I believe that's the name) which was an egg scramble, hash browns then she suggested I add a biscuit and she'll throw in a side of gravy! I got what I wanted in one plate. My food came it and was plenty!!! It was SO good, and I also overheard our server tell another patron sitting behind us that Pub 181 makes their biscuits HOMEMADE so my question was answered on why my biscuit melted in my mouth and the gravy was A-1 as well! I finished my whole plate, considering I was starving and the food was too good to waste! I will definitely be back for breakfast and the awesome service! Thanks PUB 181!!! read more

I love this bar. My friends love this bar. My friends are seriously jealous that I live so close to Pub 181, which is the standard to which we compare other bars to. I'm not sure which is better; the staff or the food. The staff is fantastic, and the food is not only great, but priced very reasonably. Bob did a fantastic job establishing 181, and new owners are doing great things with the place as well. My only complaint would be that the place gets super crowded on weekends and I can't find a seat. read more

Tonight my husband and I decided to grab a quick dinner. He ordered the NY with baked potato and I ordered the grilled salmon with baked potato. The server Tiffany asked us both if we would like our potato loaded, and of course we said "yes!" When she brought our bill we noticed 3 added charges. She charged us $1.75 each for the "loaded baker" and then $2.00!for a sub potato on my Salmon. At no time did she say there was an additional charge for any of these things, nor is it on the menu anywhere. When we brought it to her attention she was rude, defensive and would not even listen to our suggestions that it should be listed on the menu for such charges. Unfortunately for her it cost her tip. And truly so hate to do that but it would have been really simple to apologize and make it right, but she decided it was easier to offend us. Too bad. If you do go here be aware and watch your bill for extra charges.! read more

I've mostly been here in the morning for breakfast and every time it is delicious! The prices are cheap and the portions are huge. I like the environment of this bar with the large tables available. There are a few pool tables in the middle and they have a spot for live music during the night. I have only been here once during the evening and also had a good experience. I would definitely recommend coming here during the morning though because it's one of the best breakfast spots! order a "Mt. Hood Special" and you won't be disappointed! read more

The Bartenders Rob and Dan are awesome! My family and I have been coming in to this bar for the last ten years and are always very happy with our food and our experience. The beer is cold, their steak and shrimp combo is a fair price and delicious, and they have four nice pool tables! Food is great. Bartenders are nice. Servers are less than par. The first time an order of prawns was forgotten and we hadn't realized until we left. No big deal, it was 4 dollars. Today we came back in and had mentioned it to our waitress Ashley and she said she would see what she could do about a discount on something we ordered tonight. We had asked her about changing the tv to a nhl game. She didn't get the channel right (frustrating to me because I was then watching the ticker for a game I couldn't watch)Got our food, and it was delicious. I had to get up to ask the bar for a box for the rest of my plate. Shortly after she asks if we're done and upon cashing out we see no discount. Long story short, she would not have gotten a tip if my boyfriend hadn't paid the tab. My advice is to take a seat at the bar and order from a bartender. read more

This place is super chill and they have really good food. The folks that work here are pretty chill which i think makes the atmosphere really comfortable. They also have live music on the weekends which is a nice change from the normal radio hits you here everywhere else. read more

There should be a zero star review... I went to this place because of all the great things I read about it. I can only assume that all the great reviews were made by family members. I was greeted by the worst bartender I've ever met (ponytail, always looks like he's just been insulted), it took me over a half hour just to order a drink, and this is apparently the only place on the planet THAT YOU CAN'T SUBSTITUTE ONION RINGS FOR FRYS!!! You have to order a side of onion rings along with the frys. Are you kidding me? My drink sat empty well after my meal was over, and what made me mad was that the guy behind the bar LOOKED RIGHT AT MY EMPTY GLASS and just walked on by. This place is the best of the best for basic bar food! Sometime a refined three course meal is overrated. The BF and I have been here a couple times, and always leave impressed. The first time we split the Slider Trio (buffalo wings, two cheeseburger sliders, and a cheese quesadilla). We loved the southwest ranch sauce that came on the sliders! The sliders were bigger than usual; the same size as a $1 Mcdonalds burger! And it had grilled onions! YUM! The second visit we each ordered a different burger. The BF was craving chicken fried steak, but ventured out and tried the Western burger. This "burger" has a slab of chicken fried steak instead of the normal beef patty. I don't remember what else was on it, but he ate every crumb of it! His side of tater tots was massive, looked more like an appetizer portion. I ordered the San Fransisco Burger. IT WAS DELISH! It was 1/3 lb patty, with swiss cheese, tomato, and bacon (AMAZING BACON!!!!), all on sourdough garlic cheese bread! The BF and I were both so impressed with the bacon on our burgers, that we are going back this weekend to try their breakfast items :) read more

Nice place. Great wait staff and the burgers there are really good. I had the 2/3 lb bacon swiss burger and it was very good. And very filling. Really good thick sliced pepper bacon. I have been going to pub 181 for years. Really good food and really good beer prices. But because of the service it's getting more difficult to keep going back. Tonight was the perfect example. I warned my server my girlfriend would be showing up and 10 minutes before she did I ordered a beer. Girlfriend gets there and no beer. It hadn't been ordered. After 10 more minutes we gave up because my girlfriends presence hadn't even been acknowledged. Then the server didn't cash us out because she was "too busy" I guess. I will go back when Crystal and Rob and Dan are working because they can handle a room. The rest of the crew can't handle a crowd. It's too bad. Our waitress came and took our drink order and took my friends debit card to keep the tab open. We decided to go to another bar because the people next to us were yelling back and fourth and knocking things over. The waitress never came back to us so we went up to the bar to close the tab. The bartenders said that our waitress was in the bathroom and had all the cards with her. The bartenders got upset with us when we expressed that we didn't want our debit card in the bathroom with her. After waiting for 15 minutes standing at the bar our waitress finally came out of the bathroom and sure enough took our friends debit card out of her pocket. NEVER going back here again and advise if you are wanting a good experience not to go to this trashy spot. read more
