We came here before comedy show for a quick dinner and drinks. We thought the food was pretty good overall especially the fried okra. The drinks were above average, but we're the especially interesting from a cocktail perspective. There was some good local beers on tap as well. The service was a somewhat middle of the road at the bar which I had read from other people and also experienced. It wasn't bad though just could've been better we would visit again to give it another go, but overall we're not disappointed. To get 1 star (which I wish we had 0 star available) There has to be literally NOTHING good I can say. To contrast that, since 5 stars is perfect, I have to have 0 complaints. I mean absolutely nothing go wrong during the meal to cause me to complain at all! Pub W absolutely blew me away. I could find not 1 thing wrong with this place, and the food was all done perfectly. The inside is very open, nice and modern, the people were welcoming, and it looks like a place you want to hang out. TV's everywhere you look, but not in your face like BWW. The menu was a basic bar menu, but they had some very fun options, and some off the wall stuff, which I like. It's a great way they have separated themselves from other bars. I ordered for our entire table. I ordered edamame, a bacon avocado burger, the quinoa bowl, and the wings, which I heard were amazing and got a bunch of sauces on the side to try. Everything was beyond the level of taste and presentation I expected. The edamame was better than expected with it being an america bar. The burger was cooked nice and medium rare, with great crunch, good seasoned fries, and juicy inside. The quinoa had great seasoning, as did the grilled chicken and shrimp I got on it. Cooked through, not crunchy, and the spinach and other veggies were delicious. The star of the meal was the wings. Fried to perfection honestly. Slid off the bone, the bone dried quickly after the meat came off (sign of being well cooked for any BBQ judges out there), and had a good crunchy outside skin. The sauces made it over the top, and while the XXXHot was not as hot as what it seemed, it was still a tasty sauce. Overall, as I said before, I have 0 complaints. Excellent experience on opening week! We came in with high hopes, and we left impressed, already planning our orders for our next visit. From the pork tacos to the meatloaf to the chicken strips, everyone agreed that while we couldn't wait to try other menu items, we would all order our meals again. We tried several cocktails, and I liked the sweet and boozy Slice of Life the best, but my husband stuck with the Old Fashioneds (we didn't try the one on draft, only the craft), The pork tacos were flavorful and a great value (only $11). The pork shoulder was topped with an excellent compote, adding some sweetness to the savory. I'm personally not a meatloaf fan, but everyone that tried the meatloaf enjoyed it. The chicken strips tasted freshly hand-breaded with quality chicken. My favorite side was probably the green beans. The brussel sprouts were maybe just a little disappointing, not as flavorful as I was hoping. Even the jalepeno toast was enjoyable (but don't expect spicy). My only disappointment with this place was their stinginess with their soft opening invites. I angled for an invite several times prior to opening and nothing! Jerks. Always a great meal! Took my family after a soccer tournament, we ordered pigs in a blanket, pretzels with cheese and spicy chicken nachos for apps and all were really good! For meals, my go-to is the spicy shrimp tacos-ALWAYS GREAT! My fam ordered the turkey bacon club, habanero burger & chili lime chicken salad and they loved their food. Fantastic atmosphere, even for those of us who skip out on the brewery side of things. The little smokes with the cheese are the most holy appetizer I've had in a long time. Delicious!!! My first experience of this location was outstanding. The restaurant is new, nice and clean. The staff did an excellent job of answering questions and getting the items (drinks, apps, food) to the table in a timely manner. It's a great place to take a family for a nice meal, the prices on the menu are reasonable for a nice inexpensive meal but they also have items that are on the higher end if you don't have a budget. The drink selection is great if you are meeting friends, having a girls night or date night. The restaurant does have brunch, happy hour and if you follow them on Facebook you can keep up with any of the specials or events they have be hosting. Pros: my friend always wants to eat brunch here. She's a super picky eater with a very limited food repertoire. She likes that she can watch soccer and eat food that she knows she can tolerate. We don't ever have to wait for a table. She usually gets chicken, waffles, and breakfast potatoes. I usually get the fresh orchard salad. We share the pigs in a blanket. Cons: Not very many spaces in the parking lot in front. Service is kinda so-so. The wait staff are very friendly when they are at your table. First time at Pub W. I was alone so I sat at the bar. The restaurant and bar are both in one big open area. There are large TVs throughout. The bartenders are super friendly and very informative. The atmosphere is casual and upbeat. The place is packed with locals and the bartenders know everyone by name. Happy hour starts at 3:00. House wines, draft Old Fashioneds, and draft Margaritas are $3, then at 4:00 these drinks are $4, and at 5:00 they are $5 until 6:00. Draft beers are $2.50 from 3:00 to 5:00. I had a beer called heirloom bloom (I think thats the correct name- It's on their rotating menu) It's a porter not on happy hour. If you like dark beers, you will like this one. The buffalo Brussels sprouts are very tasty. They are made with wing sauce and blue cheese crumbles. Yummy! You can ask for no blue cheese if you don't like blue cheese. The spicy shrimp tacos have a kick. They are full of shrimp and very good. The menu says the are served with cilantro rice and black beans. For some reason I got green beans instead of black beans. I didn't care for the green beans. They taste like they had been in the freezer too long before they were cooked. The cilantro rice was very good. It was an enjoyable dinning experience. We've been here a couple times for their happy hour, and it never disappoints. This is a great pub to go to after work or during a weekend with family, friends, or both! Their spicy chicken nachos and their wings are the most delicious appetizers to share with a group. The bartenders are very friendly and give great suggestions for drinks. Had such a great experience at Pub W in OKC had to go to the one in Tulsa. Understand it is fairly new but hate we are just now finding it. Same great level of service with a friendly greeter and knowledgeable server who was eager to help with selection and willing to customize to Andra's needs. Some great ideas on how to spice up her Quinoa burger, it was so good in OKC she had to have it here and of course the Edema. My shrimp was very good and the serving size was too much. The squash hush puppies could have been crispier but flavor was special, Andra tasted and the ate almost a whole one and they are big. No desert this time but will come back just to have the butterscotch banana cake. I love it here. Im moving in. We don't drink so we started off with the lemonade mocktail and pigs in a blanket. I could drink the beer cheese. I was exhausted so I just ordered chicken tenders and they were so good, just hit the spot and they came with these squash puppy things that I could eat a whole basket of. My husband got the fried chicken and my son got the jalapeño burger, the cheese pull on the burger looked epic and the fried chicken I snuck was really good. I'm kind of sad that I wasn't very impressed with this place. I will definitely give it another try because they had just been open a week. I ordered the chicken and Brie sandwich and the entire thing fell apart and was wet and sloppy and not very good. My friend had to order her beer three times before she got it but the food seemed to come out in a somewhat timely manner. Next time I go I will definitely try a different item on the menu because the sandwich was just not constructed well and didn't have as much taste as I hoped. it also was a pain because there was absolutely no where to park. After 1 visit, I am happy with this place and definitely will return. I was trying not to get my hopes up because looking at the menu, the food options looked delicious but could they execute? And luckily they did not disappoint. My husband & I shared the shrimp Diablo (on the lighter menu), the chupacabra & a side of Brussels sprouts. I wasn't that impressed with the Brussels, the portion was small & they were over cooked but everything else was good. For 440 calories the shrimp diablo was a nice portion size with angel hair pasta vs larger and I liked that. I also love that you can get edamame as a side vs fries. This is my go-back-to place. It is large, clean, and well set up. The food is great- sort of important. Service has been superb, like people actually like working there. But in our last two visits the french fries portion was laughably small. They were so small that we requested a full serving. The farm fresh chicken salad was sub par and like the fries, the chicken salad part has seemed to shrink. In the past, I have generally liked everything I have ordered at Pub W. That streak ended with the Moroccan Salmon salad. It's just shy of horrific. I will end on a positive note. The service has always been good at Pub W and this has been consistent. This pub is so spacious and clean. Visit them on a Thursday evening at 8 or so and there is no wait time. The server was attentive and the food and drink came out quick fast. We had the pretzel burger, the jalapeño burger and 2 cocktails. I saw some pics from others on Yelp that the burgers look kinda dry, but both of ours turned out quite tasty and juicy. Fries turned out to be the best item of our meal though. We dipped them on ranch sauce. The beer list is quite limited. I wasn't too intrigued to order any beer. So I got 2 cocktails which turned out alright. I wouldn't compare them with Valkyrie though. read more
