Great spot for happy hour! The appetizers and drinks are a real highlight. The Honey Sriracha Brussels were packed with flavor--absolutely excellent. My friend tried the Fancy Don't Let Me Down draft cocktail and loved it. Our server, Cash, was attentive and adorable--we'll definitely be asking for him next time. I was originally going to rate Pub W 4 stars based on a previous 'to go' order. I'm so glad I didn't because I would be editing that review right now! The waiter was very patient and knowledgeable with all of my gluten free questions. If he wasn't sure about something he went to the kitchen to ask, which I appreciate SO VERY much. I ordered the Steak Street Tacos (gluten free style of course) and they had GREAT flavor, BUT WAIT....I found out that the tomatillo jalapeño sauce that came with the tacos was also gluten free and I'm not sure what happened next. I may have blacked out during my feeding frenzy. The tomatillo jalapeño sauce bumped the flavor up a few levels. Seriously, KAPOW and all of a sudden my tacos were gone! I not only ate my tacos but I also ate the cilantro rice and beans. I rarely eat sides. (I usually order al la carte.) They were both also very delicious. To top it all off, I didn't have any kind of reaction. Well, except for tighter pants after eating everything. I am looking forward to my next meal here. I'm making my plans for that now! read more

We stopped in for happy hour, yesterday. They have good prices. Happy Hour starts at 3:00 and the earlier you drink, the cheaper you drink. We got there after 4:00 when the drinks were $5:00. They have interesting cocktails with cute names such as Papa don't Peach and Old Kid on the block. Each cocktail is a variation of a classic cocktail. Papa Don't Peach is a variation of a whiskey sour and Old Kid on the Block is a variation on an Old Fashioned. I got the Old Kid on the Block, and a variation of an expresso martini. Most of their drinks tend to be on the sweet side but the ones I ordered are an exception. The old fashioned variation probably has more sweetness to it than the traditional Old Fashioned, but it is good. It has a rich and delicious flavor that lingers a bit after each sip. We couldn't have asked for better service. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

I've heard through the grapevine that Pub W has the best fried chicken in Tulsa. As a fried chicken fanatic, I had to check it out. The fried chicken at Pub W was really good. I would highly recommend to try it. Each order is essentially a half bird with 2 sides, mashed potatoes and green beans being the standard. I didn't care much for the 2 sides but the fried chicken was great. Crunchy, juicy, but the batter was a little thick. I actually prefer the fried chicken at this pub than at other places that specialize in fried chicken. To go order was fairly quick. It took about 15 minutes for the order. For fried chicken, this was considered quick to me. I did not dine in but the place was packed. The bar area looked nice from a glance. read more

Pub W has become one of our favorite restaurants in Oklahoma and the Tulsa branch did not disappoint! We sat at the bar. I ordered my usual, Salmon Poke Bowl and it was delicious as always. They don't offer the Blackberry Sage Lemonade so I opted for just plain iced tea. Chris ordered the Power Bowl with Chicken and Shrimps. It was very tasty! Service was quick and the bartender was very helpful and attentive. The place was a little quiet during lunch time but I am pretty sure they will pick up during happy hour as they have amazing cocktails at a special price. This location is in a plaza with free parking, it's on the same side as Neighborhood Jam. The interior is a modern sports bar feel with lots of tvs and table options and bar seating. We were able to get a booth and seated quickly. We sat under a vent so it was a little cold but as it has been so warm lately it was refreshing. Our server was quick to check in for drinks. The food prices were moderate especially given the portion size. My chicken sandwich had more of a sloppy Joe feel and is very messy. I feel like this place is a hit or miss. Today was such a miss. Maybe salads shouldn't be ordered at a Pub (?) but my husband ordered a wedge salad. It was yellow and brown and warm. Not our servers fault who did a really great job (Sunday march 30th 2:30). My shrimp tacos were indescribably bad. At $16 I just don't see how the Hal Smith Restaurant Group even keeps that on the menu. Especially because my favorite thing in all restaurants practically, are the scrumptious fish tacos at Charlestons, also a HS restaurant. I'm attaching a photo I took seconds after I was served. Two stars for location, I came here today April 15th around 12pm. We originally wanted to eat next door but did not want to wait 45 minutes. We looked this place up online and the menu looked good. Upon coming in the place was not busy we got seated outside because that is where I wanted to sit. Upon being seated outside they gave us water, about 5 mins later a server asked if we had our drink order taken we said no. The server then took our order we each got a mimosa, it took about another 10 minutes for the mimosa to come out, and my friends had a fruit fly in it, it finally comes back and they ask us if we want an appetizer we say yes and order the honey biscuit, when it comes it has chicken on it, we wait for another server and she said is everything good and we said this is not what we ordered, she then took it back, and said is it okay if I just take the chicken off? I said I expected you to do that anyway, so why even bother saying anything? I then order food at that moment because I don't know if I'll see another server again any time soon, i ordered the rancheros with no cheese or sour cream they were actually really good. We then asked for the check. The service was absolutely horrible we had like 6 different servers on the patio. We didn't know who belonged to what table because they worked them all, it was t even that busy for this to be happening. The location is great and within walking distance to the hotel I was staying but it might have been worth it to wait the 45 minutes next door. read more

We've dined here before and have had great experiences. Tonight was not one of them. We sat at the bar and someone immediately delivered water. Then we sat. Finally another bartender asked if we had drinks coming. He helped us, introduced himself, brought our drinks promptly, took an appetizer order, and then disappeared. We tried the queso fundido and I've had much better elsewhere. This was just a semi-melted hunk of cheese. The warm green salsa that came with it was AHMAZING though. We sat with empty glasses and finally asked for our tab. Of course, our credit card was taken promptly. Took a quick walk from the Doubletree hotel to Pub W. They were able to quickly take our large group and we got our order in a timely manner. Overall food was fine. We had a variety of appetizers- spicy chicken nachos (yum! Loved it) and pigs in a blanket which were just average. In our group we had the pretzel burger which was a big hit! A good friend of mine suggested we go there for lunch the other day and it was absolutely incredible... I had the "pick two" for lunch. Husband's go-to is the chicken bacon club. My go-to is the chicken and brie sandwich. Kid's go-to are their HUGE "kids" burgers and fries... my husband and I tax their plates every time. When me and my boyfriend came in we were sat in a corner away from the general seating, which would not be an issue if anyone had come to our table. We waited at least 25 minutes and there was never a server at our table- no drink orders or introductions. Multiple times staff looked at our table and did not approach us, multiple servers were stood watching the game on the other side of the restaurant. I was so happy to stumble upon this amazing pub located across the street from Saint Francis hospital. I was in town for my dad's hip surgery, while he was resting in the hospital, I went looking for something to eat and discovered Pub W across the street. The staff was so friendly And helpful. The female bartender even helped explain the variety of specialty drinks to me. The salad was one of the best salads I have ever had. So fresh! Really bad experience. I organized a family meet up here with their floor manager Logan. Leading up to the evening, I spoke to him several times to confirm the reservation and he personally confirmed it. When we arrived the hostess and the girl training with her had no idea what we were talking about, they didn't have a table ready, we were told we'd all have to wait 90 - 120 minutes, and Logan wouldn't even come up front to face us... Even when we demanded to speak to him, we were told the floor manager was busy. No apology, nothing. That should have been a sign to just move on, but we didn't know where else to go ... so we got on their reservation list, left our phone number and just kinda congregated outside. Logan would come out on the floor to work and every time I would walk in to speak with him, he would ignore me and walk away to the kitchen or the back quickly. We waited nearly two hours and the waitress seemed quite unhappy overall... just kinda bleh and snappy and had a downer energy. We order items off the menu, but several of the items we came there for, after seeing them on Yelp, were no longer on the menu. Half of our table got our drinks in a moral time frame... the other half got ours waaaaay too late after ordering. The food was bland... On Yelp everything looks exciting... in reality everything was just kinda flavorless, smaller in portion, and ... very much like the food they serve in the hospital and military cafeterias... like, it's not bad for a super discounted lunch, but not worth waiting two hours for... or making a reservation for, or inviting family to. I was super embarrassed I picked this place without trying it out first, but the reviews online look so good. Logan wouldn't make eye contact with me out of shame... and when I finally caught him he told me he's on his way to speak to our table... AND NEVER VISITED US... EVER. . I obviously will not be revisiting this restaurant and really think Logan needs to be retrained... or go back to floor service than management. Just my humble suggestion. Sad! Otherwise, the atmosphere is pretty loud... which isn't a bad thing... just keep it in mind and plan cost date nights elsewhere. read more
