They wouldn't even price match the web rate of $117 (see picture) or prorate my move out. So, went with A1 storage for a 5x5 $159 including insurance. Set price for 3 months and gradual increase of 10% at 3 months then 10 months. Still way better price at A1. Was truly disappointed so I'm leaving and saving myself $100 month.

The insurance is Fraud too, will never respond or payout a claim. They will only take your money. I had a unit with 2 concrete walls and the third wall that is shared with the neighboring unit is made of drywall. Which is actually a very cheap way of doing things, should be metal. Well the first time I found the infestation in 2022 I made a claim and nothing, no response at all. Had to throw out a ton of items. Afterwards I had the unit cleaned and even swept. Well went this weekend to move out of the storage and long and behold another rodent infestation but 100 times worst even now. And the first time I even found a dead mouse. Now this time I had to throw away so many items. But what was upsetting was I had to throw away my blanket I've had since my childhood and I no longer have either one of my parents. Here they charge you a good amount to rent. So when you pay for a facility to store your valuable items you expect your items to be there in the condition you stored them in. You don't expect to come back and have to throw away your items. And when I called them to let them know, the guy in the office tried to gaslight me and somehow blame me. Like we don't know what you store??? Are you serious???? Take responsibility as a business to have the proper maintenance to not have a serious rodent infestation!!!!

The place is practically brand new, is always clean, and I never have a problem with entering & leaving the facility. I want to give a special shout out to David, Anna, & especially Eddie. They've all been extremely accommodating & very professional at their jobs. Always very pleasant and courteous when I see them. They are always very willing to help when any issues arise. They are great employees. I feel safe and secure that my things are stored at their facility. Never had any serious issues. I got an indoor closet like space of 5 x 10 ft for 98/mo, but I did have to add an additional insurance (mandatory unless you can prove you have your own) that covers up to $2000 in the case of fire, flood, etc. they charge an additional $29 to set up initially but I believe they all do that. The staff was very professional. It's local for me so that is the most important. What's great was that the employee even came out with my ID so I didn't even have to park outside the office, get out, and go back into the office to exchange the cart key for my ID. There's a gate code to both enter and exit the lot, enter the building, and use the elevator, so it's good knowing the place is secure.

It was late in the day, they were open for 1 more hour and she was able to go over contract details, storage unit sizes/prices and standard grounds procedures/protocols so efficiently that I was still able to return to my new unit within operating hours and achieve my goal of having all my items safely and securely relocated by the days end. There are multiple storage location options in Pasadena but Storbox was the one to come through in my time of need and I can confidently recommend this location without a doubt.

THEY BROKE THE LAW: I rented a storage unit in January 2025. In June, they sent a letter with a 102% rent increase, effective in 30 days. Per California Civil Code 827(b)(3) , they were supposed to give a 90-day notice because the rate increase was over 10%.  They were reported to the Better Business Bureau and received certified mail with response required. They did not reply in either instance. DO NOT SIGN WITH THESE CON ARTISTS: The contract states you cannot file a class action lawsuit against them, and that you may be responsible for THEIR attorney fees even if you win. When you sign with them, you are giving up your rights to a proper legal defense. They don't want you challenging them, and they think you are a cash-giving sucker. That is extremely unacceptable. THEIR BUILDING IS DIRTY: On my move-out day, there were lots of screws and debris on the parking lot floor, and inside the complex. They probably want you to have flat tires. There were no employees in the main office. I don't trust any business where they lock their doors and don't even try to answer your questions. STAY AWAY FROM GOSTOREIT AND THEIR ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!
