Hours are a lie your not allowed to be in site till 9pm Also I was having an issue with my code so I showed up to the office at 2:30 and the woman who works there as the manager came out of side private office and stated that the office is closed and got in her car and left Office window has no hours on window and no one will answer the phone. I'm very disappointed in lack of customer service at this location. Horrible service , the property manager Marisol , has the worst customer service and comes across as rude and aggressive , I was trying to get a smaller unit after the price on the unit I had went up on price , I was trying to get some help from her and she was rude and was acting like I was bothering her with my questions , I was calm and collect till she finally hit my final nice button. I ended up raising my voice at her letting her know how rude she was acting , not till then did she change her attitude , I would NOT recommend this storage unless u want your rent to go up after 3 months and continue to go up at least every 3-4 read more

Was moving into a new storage unit and the online check-in process was a breeze. This storage unit is tucked a little bit away off the main street but was still easy to find. The unit I had was on the 2nd floor which was a little confusing to see with the letter and number units. There are some units that are really tucked in there, however when I found it, it was spacious and clean. The lighting is quite dim so I was considering installing a touch light in my unit. This facility reduced hours drastically and increased rates almost double in the time I have been here. Started at $115 in 2020 to $221 in Sept of 2022! I found the manager Marisol to be nice on most days then very agressive on other days especially when learning the in and out access procedures after they changed them. Not saying she is bad just not consistent with her temperment. However, she is not the reason I am leaving, the rates and access limitations are! If anyone asks for recomendations, I would not! read more

I've been a customer for years and recently did some deep cleaning and got rid of a lot of stuff in storage. With all the stuff removed and donated we were able get a smaller unit. The change in units was easily done and the service we received was wonderful. The new unit was nice and clean which was very much appreciated. I will continue to rent from this location. Worst place ever. I had my storage unit broken into twice , had all my belongings stolen. All they care about is your monthly payment . Management , District manager didn't give a rats ass that everything in my unit was stolen . No sympathy whats so ever. Also the Sedgewick insurance company wouldnt except my claim due to the fact that there was no forcible entry. Made a police report including the lock that was cut off into evidence , but still denied my claim. All they want is your money , don't care about anyones property. read more

The Monterey Park public storage 1985 Potrero Grande Dr is one of the worst. Every Month increased the rent. Rent started from $140 and now I paid $200. Limited access hours. They are stealing people 's money . Do not put on auto pay payment. Make sure about the fixed amount. All they care is money. read more

The Asian lady at the front desk is lazy. Came in at 2:36PM. They don't close till 5:00pm. I can see her sitting in front of the desk. I knocked so many times she did not even bother to look. I knocked once again Louder she then came out to change the time "manager will return at 1:45pm" stupid ass didn't know it's 2:38pm right now. She then returned to her desk and ignored me. Horrible service fire here already!!! Five Stars to the Hispanic lady that helped me out when i found her near one of the storage units and told her about he issue with the lady at the front desk. My first impression of the facility was very positive. The facility was very clean, the staff very polite, and the mgr very efficient. Never encountered a problem until.......... My storage unit was burglarized and that was an unsettling experience. Most of my items stolen were very personal in nature; a lot of meaning and history was stored in there. I was surprised that the security there had not noticed what was taking place on two separate occasions and that the perpetrators were not apprehended, given the amount of time they were on the premises committing a crime. Not only myself was affected, but several other units were burglarized as well. There are multiple cameras mounted in various areas throughout the facility so there should be no problem in capturing who goes in and out of the premises. It was a surprise to find out that there was no video showing the crime being committed on both occasions which made me wonder what was going on with security. It did not make sense that a highly professional company could be lacking in recording the incident and that the response time to notify me was substandard. Also, I find it odd that upon being notified of the crime, no call was made to local authorities to report what was/had taken place. I had to make the call myself which allowed the criminals the opportunity to flee with the stolen items. This was not the way it should had been handled by the company and is an indication of subpar service and puts in question the integrity of the company and its staff. This matter will not go away and should be investigated by Public Storage to get to the bottom of what took place. Yes, my privacy was violated and I cannot solve the crime unless there is cooperation from the local authorities and Public Storage Headquarters. I am not going to point a finger at anyone, but I do have my suspicions. I hope I can get some closure in the form of an arrest and conviction of the perpetrators who committed this senseless crime. It is because of my experience with Public Storage in Montebello that I do not recommend this facility for storage purposes. read more

I work with an Jiu Jitsu Event company. We run tournaments once every month so for 28 days of the month we need storage. This place is perfect for us. The customer service is amazing. Very welcoming staff. And they can book you your unit quickly. The other places we go take hours of waiting. Also another huge advantage is the wide road they have here. We use 26 ft trucks and our trucks fit without a struggle. Last, there is someone there overnight to make sure there are no break ins. And the neighborhood is safe so I can rest at night knowing my equipment is safe. read more

Marisol and her family who live on public storage property stole from my storage unit! Definitely Do NOT recommend this public storage!! They have no respect for other people belongings. They steal from peoples units and put different locks on them locking them out of there unit. The Director also is part of the stealing scam as there is not ever a call back or a response to email. The Pico Rivera Public Storage has less theft than this location in Monterey Park and the pico location u often see people asleep out in the hallways. Monterey Park is supposed to be a better however DO NOT TRUST them with your property. Family momentos were stolen as well as memoribelia. Marisol openly smokes weed on the property which needless to say is very unprofessionable as well. You wont be contacted till days after your unit is broken into and its rumored the people working/living there will break in and take what they want from units while "partying it up" by the time you go through your things its too late to report to the police. read more

We are in between homes right now and we Needed a month or two of storage until our remodel is done. There was no negotiation of prices or specials on anything bigger than a 10x10. The saleslady kept saying "supply and demand"and "so do you want it or not?" So glad I said I would keep looking. I get on the phone to PSA storage 2 miles away, they were so friendly, open later and I got what I wanted saving almost $100/month. Worth a phone call. The lady to talk to at PSA STORAGE is Rosie. I've rented units at three [3] different Public Storage locations before over the past decade, as the need arose, but this location has become my favorite for a single reason: Service. The on-site manager is Marizol and she treats customers like guests in her home. Talking to her is like speaking to someone you've known for years. She has excellent work ethics and runs the place as you would expect, actually above expectations. Whether you're a walk-in customer or reserved a unit online [which btw, gets you a lower monthly cost due to promo offers], Marizol patiently takes the time to explain your options, shows you what's available on the premises, and walks you through the process, step-by-step, from start to finish. Her staff follows her lead and her associate Celia is just as diligent. I am always greeted whether I go into the office or just drive by and wave before activating the entrance gate. [F.Y.I.: Don't try to sneak in by tailgating someone else, because it is against the rules. The staff watches their security monitors and you will be dealt with. Security of the premises and protection of your property is taken seriously here and this can only be accomplished with your cooperation and management enforcing measures designed to keep track of who goes in/out and whether or not they belong there. If you've forgotten your gate code, then take a load off your mind, by getting off your ass. Go inside and say hello. They're there to help. "If you see something, say something." Report suspicious activity on the premises, if any. Crime is preventable and is everyone's responsibility.
