I got my gate code in a text message so it made getting in and out really quick and easy. Had a bit of a hard time finding my unit since it was inside the building but not impossible to find. Do not use this company. When I first rented the unit about a year ago, the rent was $89 a month. In that time they have raised my rates twice by $50. Now I pay $189. Their excuse is they are keeping up with the market. Which is just code for "we have found creative ways to leech more money from you." Avoid them at all costs!!! read more

I haven't been able to access my unit for about a week now because they are pouring concrete in front of it the office has said twice now "a few days" until it's ready. I am a little upset with this place, I laid for my unit the first of March, cleaned out my unit March 7th, they still have not reimbursed me the rest of my money, they want our payments on time , but they don't want to give you back what little bit they owe me. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!! Me and my boyfriend rented a unit here and within 8 months we had to move to a different unit because of "Flooding". Also the rent keeps going up every time I go from paying $90 a month to $115 a month NOW $127 a month!!! All within 1 year period, maybe 6 month gap. Now as of today, we have to move out our unit AGAIN for flooding and our stuff was RUINED!! And they only gave us a week notice after us finding out ourselves it was flooded. The person who I initially spoke to when calling the toll-free number was very thorough with answering any questions I had When calling I clearly stated that I was NOT interested in currently renting a unit, just calling to ask questions. The problem I have with this company is that immediately after hanging up with rep #1 from the toll-free number, I received a call from rep #2 from one of the local facilities telling me my information etc. was put into their database and the salesperson wanted to know when I was going to be in to rent a unit. As I said, I CLEARLY said to rep #1 that I was not looking to rent at this time. I told rep #2 that I would call when/if ready to rent . This company has been calling incessantly ever since. I receive 1, 2 sometimes 3 calls a day from PS. Very annoying!!! Unless you want to be harassed via persistent calls from this company, don't rent or give any real information to whomever you speak to at PS. They don't take "no" for an answer. read more

Danielle was very nice and helpful!! Although, my unit is not 5x10 as advertized. But im still getting charged in full for it. ($106) AND THEY SELL YOU INSURANCE, BY FORCE. Even if u dont want it. U are charged for this fee, that fee, so and so fee. The $45.50 unit at the end runs u up for over $100, that quick. I brought the size of my unit to their attention and i got a, "well, if you check online when you got the unit itll say the meassurements are aproximate." I must have missed it cause i didnt see anywhere on the page. No discount or anything? Also, outside units are more expensive than inside units, simply cause u deive up to it. Easy load and unload. Inside units are cheaper, bur the door is very narrow, if u have big furniture, this wont workout for u! read more

Go elsewhere! The headache is not worth your time or energy!! I paid for a storage unit for my Photography props, assumed because the storage said that it was an "inside" unit that it was climate controlled. when I went to move my stuff in there, the temperature was 88 degrees. I couldn't go talk to someone in the office as it was after hours. I immediately called the next business day and explained my situation, the manger at the property gave me the number to customer service in hopes that they would be able to help me in finding a climate controlled unit at a different property. Needless to say that experience was the WORST!! After talking to 3 different customer service agents (being hung up on by one, after being on hold) I was beyond frustrated at this point. They we're all very unhelpful and two of them were extremely rude. So I called back and asked to be transferred to a supervisor. She seemed to not mind doing her job and was very helpful with trying to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, my account could not be transferred to a different property. I had to cancel my account, vacate my belongings. I was told that as long as I did this before the "24 hour" mark, I would be refunded. Here we are the next day, stuff was vacated well before the "24 hour" mark and now being told I WILL NOT be refunded!!!!! Unbelievable!!! $100 wasted.. read more

The reservation process was super easy and the person I talked to on the phone was super helpful. The application process and sign up upon arrival was super quick and easy. The price is reasonable and the unit we were assigned looked brand new. The woman who helped us, Robin was so helpful and so friendly she made the whole process not only surprisingly easy but she was just a great employee and person. IF YOU CAN READ!!!! RUN!!!!! Don't give your money to Public Storage. Nothing is $1.00 , you have to pay for their lock $18.00 and then ..wait for it...give the lock back when you move out, even though you paid for it. You can't use your own lock ,then here comes the mysteriously raised rent without notice..Its a "business decision to increase the rent of the customer to pay for the company business expenses and needs( that was the explanation). When you expect to pay the $1.00 there is administrative fees, this fee, that fee..THERE"S a dollar in there someone, I think. Then when you tell them you moved, they say you didn't tell them in time enough, but all you get is an answering machine. ALL STORAGE IS A GREAT STORAGE AND UHAUL IS GREAT AS WELL...If you are moving and find yourself at Public Storage because it sounds like a Good deal, hear me when I say, you will pay for more than you ever expected to ...if you are at PUBLIC STORAGE NOW,ask them about the real amount you pay and see how they explain the 1.00 and why it's not a dollar. All Storage I got the first three months 50% off and used my own lock. When I moved out it was passed the due date , I called to let them know and they moved someone else in without demanding anything to be due...PUBLIC STORAGE IS A JOKE!!!! I am giving no stars because they do not deserve any. (i have to give one to submit report.) I rented unit in October. I have put a few things in- in Between months. This last month i went to get our beds out and move them to current home we live in...omg....the shock of RAT FECES AND PEE ALL OVER MY BEDS. my kids beds were brand new. I did have 5,000.00 of insurance i put on unit. First off...i contact manager of facility Public Storage (100 Collins St) they tell me they are not responsible for damages....to contact orange door insurance. Well i do and start my claim...to no surprise...all they can give is 250.00 for vermin damage. What!?! That won't cover one of my mattresses...not to mention all the rest of my things in the storage unit. So i have contacted bbb and im filling a small claim in court to sue these people! For all of my property. Do not rent here...its infested with rats....they will not reimburse you damages. I wish someone would have told me! read more
