IF YOU ARE READING THIS DONT EVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. THEY ARE RAT INFESTED!!!! If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. Tiffany at the front desk was a nice lady, but a Terrible liar. When I told her that my storage had rats everywhere she made a story up about how she recently (1day prior) cleaned out the unit next to mine and that it was very dirty. She tried make it seem like the unit next to mine is probably why a rat was in my storage. This was not 1 rat and it was not fresh poop. They were inside of my couches and jumping out of my boxes as I moved them. I lost everything I own in this storage b/c they didn't want to take accountability for their negligence on the property. I have insurance through USAA, which is great, but they do not cover a rodent infestation or moisture damage if not from a pipe bursting. and most insurance companies dont....and this place is the reason why. They will tell you to read your contract and that it says they are not liable for damage to your belongings and that you should have purchased their insurance. Their insurance covers $250 of damage. $250 won't recover a 2 bedroom apartment that I lost. They are responsible for upkeep of the property to ensure that things like this don't happen. I was told the district manager Zachary Atkinson would contact me and by the time he reached out all he offered was two months of storage fees. This is not about a contract and what I should read it's about taking accountability for negligence on your behalf as a company to make the situation better. Rat urine and feces is toxic waste and this was not something i could have salvaged. I lost everything. I hope no one has to experience this and public storage...SHAME ON YOU!!!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Besides the fact that rates are raised 2-3 times in one year, the staff is unresponsive. I had a leaking pop bottle above my unit for over two months and could not get anyone to remove it or call me back. They love to raise rates, just under the state law in Georgia for the House Bill 811 so they think ripping us off for renting air and floor space is legit. I called public storage corporate, was told the stock holders is the only thing that matters and their profits, the customers and the constant rate increases is not really important. Figures. I did the rate at $112 then it went up to $160 and now boom it is up to $206. Nothing new, one person on site, gate works part of the time and a huge rate increase just like typical greedy government and businesses. They sold my storage i started with public storage 2023 the price was 150 a month price rose to over 250 a month they allowed me to make payment 200 dollars til I caught up I had just paid and they accepted it 8 days ago I got a text that they sold my storage for 50 dollars and I still owe the rest my bass guitar was worth more then 50 dollars they showed no receipt or nothing as what they sold never had I been so mistreated will never recommend this place to nobody read more

The process of registering for a unit was really simple, as well as the portion of the registration process that is done in-person. The person at the front desk was professional and really accommodating. My mom visited the Public Storage office the day before my move to sign the paperwork and get the key. She found out that the key could be obtained the following day, but an hour after I scheduled for the movers to unload my stuff at the storage unit. So the following day the Public Storage employee came to work an hour earlier! That made my day, especially since I only had an hour to meet the movers and get back to work. The only con was that the building is old, including the temperature controlling mechanism. I signed up to get a temperature controlled unit, which at this facility means a unit cooled down by a fanning system. My items were not hot to the touch, more-so warm, but I was definitely sweating. My expectations was an AC controlled unit where the temperature was in the low to mid 70s (Fahrenheit). Overall, this place isn't the worst, but loses major points when it comes to appearance. It's an old building and looks pretty sketch out and inside. The door that is closest to my unit is broken (the knob won't turn) so I have to access the unit from another door. I also don't know about the sense of, or actual, security at night (Though I won't be visiting it without sunlight). And upon numerous visits to my storage unit, I haven't seen people wearing face masks. However, I don't feel at risk of being covid when visiting my unit. I would recommend this place if one can find a unit at a discount and has no other options due to the convenience of location. But consider the temperature controlling system, accessibility of a unit (broken doors) and the safety during hours that are personally convenient. read more

Ive only had this storage for a few months. its a brand new facility at 5000 Campbellton Road Fairburn Ga 30213. Although it has two set of security doors that require a code to enter. My unit was still broken in to. I had over $10,000 worth of valuables stolen. No one seems to care. I made a police report and then requested for the cameras to be viewed. I'm still waiting to hear back. The young lady seemed to have an attitude at the desk because we wanted to view the cameras. Thankfully we had insurance. The doors are always propped open and others are always letting people in. Do NOT store your items here. read more

Every time I've gone to this location, I have had an issue with entry, whether its being assigned a locker that had yet to be moved out or the elevator/gate/doors not opening. Because it appears to be an IT issue, the very kind and helpful customer service employees seem to be unable to help. Shoutout to Ro though for helping me get an override to move my stuff in. They were very polite and helpful and came promptly after I called for assistance. read more

Rat Infestation!!!! at 1780 S. Cobb Drive location!!!!! Unit rented at low rate but increased after telling me it was for the entire time. The unit rented had a broken light and debris leaking and falling from the ceiling and walls. I came in with white lamps, pillows etc and now everything is stained and dirty! The unit is also infested with Rats. I filed a claim for the damage and they denied it because the facility denied the damage after I spoke directly to a manager. Had they approved it I would have had the money to move. Fast forward 2 mths later, Rat damage everywhere!!! They chewed through my garment bags, poop on my curtains, hats, everywhere!!!!! I have to try and scrape up the money to get my things out of this facility because they won't take any responsibility for the damage whatsoever!!!! read more

The ease of rental, great. The young lady I spoke with initially great. I rented on 12/20, didn't realize it was the wrong facility until 12/29 when I tried to access it for the first time. I was unable to transfer facilities therefore haven't to rent again at a different location. 2 units in less than 10 days then have to pay rent again on the first. read more

Where do I begin? I didn't choose this place but my landlord didn't renew my lease when I lived down the street and I was out of the state for a few months, so my room mates put my stuff in here for me. First off this place is in the hood. I didn't get to make up my own code for the gate. What? Second I pay $163 a month for propped open doors leading to my storage. What is the point of having to put in a door code (after you get inside the facility) if people are going to prop the door open? Lastly, I plan on being out asap. There has been this set of mattresses (pictured posted) laying there for over 3 weeks now. I know this because I was in my unit 3 weeks ago and saw them. I actually think there is more now. Wow. I had low expectations for service from a storage facility, yet the staff here still failed to meet my expectations. I had a guaranteed price reservation from the corporate web site, and the manager refused to honor it on the day I was scheduled to move in. Not until after multiple phone calls with both the district and regional managers was I able to have my guaranteed reservation honored. The property manager is rude to all customers, often asking them to get out of the office and then locking the door, or locking the door when customers come. The exterior of the facility is well maintained, relatively secure, and some of the staff are kind, but the interiors are full of spiders, insects, falling insulation, and are poorly lit. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. read more

The bane of my existence. That's a bit melodramatic. Not really the bane of my existence, but the place I enjoy the least that I have to deal with the most it seems. When my wife and I got married, we moved my junk into her small house. We end up needing a storage unit to handle the overflow furniture and boxes. And yes, we got rid of all my crappy bachelor furniture, so don't even suggest that. The customer service at Public Storage is abysmal. The manager is rude, sarcastic, and takes glee in lording what power she has over her customers. There was an 8 week span at one point where the place was being repaved where you couldn't access any of the storage units. When I complained, she told me that lots of customers had been able to get in it must have only been me. I could have parked down the street and walked through the gate if I had "really" wanted to get it, she said. My fault entirely. That's just one instance in a long line of run ins I've had with the management there. I could literally type pages about this place. Unfortunately, and this is the scary part, there isn't a better storage place nearby. I can either deal with this one, or drive half way across town to find a better one. Warning! Something is very, very wrong with this place. Our business has had a storage unit here for almost 15 years, but we are now unable to access our unit. We were given a cylinder-type lock to go into the sliding bar on door, but Public Storage has put an additional outside lock (prominently marked with "Public Storage" stickers) on our door. As best as we can tell, they do this when someone doesn't pay their rent on their unit. We have, and we have the receipts from the (egregious) charges that we pay now of $434/month. This is not an issue of us paying our bill. It's auto debited every month. We expect that probably what happened is that they actually put the lock on the wrong door. Someone else hasn't paid their bill, but they Public Storage worker put the lock on our door instead of the late payer. Not paying attention? I don't know. All we know is that there is suddenly an additional lock on our door we didn't put there marked "Public Storage". Irritating, but, it could be overlooked except that THEY STILL HAVEN'T CORRECTED IT. Calls to the office (where we are always told, without fail, that the computer is down) are an exercise in futility. Calls to the regional manager and now district manager remain unreturned. For some reason, somehow Public Storage seems to believe this is somehow our fault. While I'd prefer to have a storage unit with direct drive up access vs one within a building, it's more important that we are able to actually OPEN OUR DOOR. We will be moving out at the earliest opportunity, and hope that we don't have to have welder come and help us get into our own unit. read more

The staff was very helpful, especially Seth. The facility has a convenient location and easy access. However, the units have no electricity in them so be sure to bring your own light source (I didn't know this until after I had signed the agreement). Also it looked like someone has attempted to break into some of the interior units (the type with a swing door) as they were bent out at the tops. Insect and rodent control is excellent. I would recommend a roll-up door unit at this facility for a short storage duration but not for extended storage because the units are not climate controlled, there is no electricity, and rent is increased every year regardless of what "market price" is at the time so it gets quite expensive. read more

I don't know if this is a policy of Public Storage in general, or just this location, but the rent has gotten exorbitant. Due to unexplained incremental price hikes, I am now paying almost 3 times what I did at first. And now a late payment charge of $82.20 has just been added on. At least the local front desk people are very nice and helpful. read more

I wish I could give them a -5 stars. They have a rat infestation and and they never even called to tell me. What they did do was cut my lock and throw rodent pellets inside and when I found out they cut my lock their reason was due to "non payment". Which I thought was odd since they ALWAYS got paid, every month. So instead of calling to tell me they had rats or to get permission to open my unit to put any rat pellets inside they just cut the lock themselves. There were dead rats in my unit, and decomposing ooze all over my things, thousands and thousands of rat droppings on EVERYTHING! Rat piss on my clothes, furniture and electronics chewed. It was disgusting. And guess what? I had insurance the whole time so I'm thinking ok well at least I'll be compensated. WRONG!!! What they don't tell you is the insurance doesn't cover rodents! You have to ASK for separate vermin insurance. I wonder why? Maybe because they knew they had a rat problem! BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!! So the insurance did cover up to $250 in damages BUT had a $100 deductible. So basically they will give you $150 lmaoooooo My monthly rent amount was over $200 I've been using this unit for over 2yrs. After talking to the "manager" he said he would refund me my last rent payment lol The disrespect I felt! Some of those things in that unit were PRICELESS ! Things given to me from loved ones that have since passed away. Including my dad who passed this past April. I wouldn't have paid all this money for over 2yrs just to store some BS. I'm disappointed in how they handled (or lack there of) the situation. If they would have told me about the problem when they realized they had rats they should have called and I would have taken my things out. But I guess they just wanted to keep getting my money. I can easily see why this location doesnt have a YELP page, its the worst place ever!!! So I decided that I would create one to warm others. I would have given less than 1 star if that was an option. The prices are slightly higher than other locations, but thats not too big of a deal.. The facility is run down, old, and not in the best of areas. The larger units and hallways to the smaller units all smell like urine. I have had several different spaces over the years here, big and small. They have all had a horrible urine smell. Its almost unbearable. THE WORST PART ABOUT THIS HELLISH LOCATION IS THAT THEY JUST CHANGED THEIR ACCESS HOURS!! They used to have 6am-9pm M-Sun access hours, which was one of the only reasons I have had a space there. Also, its my only option in my area. I dont really care what their office hours are because most people either call or email business's now a days. Limiting when I can get to my things is a totally different story!!!! Now their access hours are 930am-6pm M-F, 930am-5pm S-Sun. That is ridiculous!!!!! That is the same times as their office hours. Who cares if there are employees present or not?? That doesnt matter one bit! People, like myself, just want to be able to get to their belongings. Employees DO NOT need to be present at all times that you have access to the facility!!! I work M-F 7am-6pm, so the only time I will now have access to my things is on the weekends... STUPIDITY AT ITS FINEST!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, CAN I PAY $120 PER MONTH FOR YOU TO HOLD MY THINGS AND ONLY LET ME HAVE ACCESS TO THEM 8 DAYS A MONTH??? YAAY, YOU GRANTED MY WISH!!! THIS LOCATION IS LITERALLY, PISS POOR!!!! If it wasnt the only storage location in my area I wouldnt keep using them. I basically dont have any options. Im sure the other people with spaces here are in the same boat. They rope you In with $1 first month, but it all a bunch of bs. Don't fall for the hype! We were told to go on to our account to pay... however, once logged in, we weren't given an option to pay. We were out of the area traveling for work and we tried several times to access and pay. Manager Seth refused our request to pay over the phone and gave us no other option. So as soon as we got back into Atlanta, I went and paid a huge bill in order to access my belongings and moved out immediately. read more

If you plan on using their storage units for an extended time plan on getting your monthly rate increased by about $20-$30 every 6months to a year for absolutely no reason at all except for them to rip you off. read more

I have occupied a unit at this location for a little over a year now. The customer service was great, but the facility itself is old and is in need of a serious face lift. The units smell like mildew and there is no lightening. You literally have to take a flashlight with you in order to find items in your unit. With all of that being said, they also increased my monthly rent $60.00 without notification. When asked why did I have an increase they simply replied "we do increases. Do you want to end your contract?" I quickly found a cleaner and safer place to store my belongings. I'm moving this weekend. I do not recommend anyone to rent an unit at this location. There is a new SpaceMax, that just opened about a mile away. They have climate controlled units with 24 hour access, and you don't have worry about random people digging through the dumpster and roaming around the grounds. read more

The rates aren't cheap, but besides a few cobwebs (unavoidable since the units are basically outdoors), the unit was fine. The only issue I had was the requirement at this property to use a particular lock that I had to pay extra for, especially since I wasn't told about this charge upfront before I took the unit. Everything stayed secure and dry for the 4 months that I had the unit. Seth is friendly and personable and went above the call of duty to help me move a heavy glass tabletop into my car when I finished loading and moving out of the unit. read more

I stored household items at this location for a few months. My unit was secure and easily accessible for an outdoor storage facility. A few cobwebs, but I had no problems with insects or pests. They've updated the doors on the all units since I've been customer. The insulation in my particular unit looked a little dated but my belongings were fine.
