DO NOT HIRE TUJI. Tuji was the most disingenuous, dishonest and nontransparent company I have dealt…read morewith. They ignored my moving agreement, missed the box-delivery date, and were hours late for the rescheduled delivery. I contracted 4 movers, but only 2 arrived on moving pick up day turning a 6- to 7-hour move into a 14-hour day. They gave no advance notice (they said more movers may come later but that did not happen). After the 14 hour move they tried to collect $1,000 in unexplained upcharges, which I refused to pay. Over the next two weeks, I spent hours trying to secure the 4 movers for the delivery move and remove the charges I had never agreed to. On delivery day, only 3 movers arrived, and the job still took 10 hours instead of the expected 5. They also used Penske rental trucks instead of Tuji-branded moving vans, and the trucks were smaller than a large moving-company truck. Tuji eventually waived the unauthorized upcharges as a "goodwill credit." They were clearly understaffed and should not have accepted the move but instead treated the signed agreement as an ongoing negotiable contract and relied on repeated excuses. Apologies if Tuji staff members were in a truck accident and in the hospital...but...the continued excuses presented as "the dog ate my homework." When voicing complaints, they continuously redirect the communication and just keep the "floor spinning" with nonsense to avoid direct answers. Some staff used both Zip to Zip and Tuji email addresses, suggesting a shared service arrangement. Tuji also provided no direct-dial numbers or individual emails, only a generic address. Hard to determine who works for what company. I ended up paying about what was expected (after numerous emails/phone calls) but got VERY LONG move days which I wanted to avoid. The movers themselves were hardworking and excellent; a competitor would be wise to hire them.

My new room looks wonderful now and I enjoy spending time in it. Next, I called them to remove junk that other workman had left in my side yard. It had been there long enough that vegetation had grown over it. I was concerned that someone or an animal could hurt itself by stumbling into the mess that wasn't visible. Two Clever Fellas came and dislodged the mess from the vines and leaves that was covering it and hauled the stuff away. It looks so much better now! I plan to use these guys to do more work for me in the new year. I highly recommend them!

Public Storage is essentially a bait and switch operation which engages in deceptive business practices with its customers. For example, you cannot trust consumer ratings on the company's website which are all collected on the first day of move in and curated by the company to publish only the most positive of reviews. You will note that there is no way to publish an independent review of Public Storage on its website after the first day of move in. Beware of reviews posted on Yelp and Google reflecting satisfaction with the first day of move because the company facilitates their placement. Concentrate on reviews of Public Storage over the length of the rental experience. I am a deeply dissatisfied customer particularly because of Public Storage's bait and switch pricing practices. Without stating so, the company lures you in with a rental rate that is superficially reasonable. There is no opportunity to sign an annual contract or to lock in a long-term rental rate. In what I understand to be standard practice for this company, the company arbitrarily announced a 35% rent increase six months after I rented my unit raising my bill from $281 to $381/month. The amount is, no doubt, calculated to squeeze as much extra income as possible out of the renter while still making it uneconomical to hire movers to change to a different facility. In essence, once you store your stuff with them they have you over a barrel and exploit that mercilessly. In another scam, your homeowner insurance likely covers your storage container. But Public Storage does not tell you that in advance. When you arrive with your stuff, they will not let you move in unless you buy insurance from them. Did they tell you that you needed to bring a copy of your insurance? No, they do not. When I objected to these practices, I was told they did not care. I would suggest you take your business elsewhere. read more

I recently moved to Dover from Ohio. My household goods were in storage in Ohio and I have been living in a hotel. I had been having a difficult time with my movers setting up a delivery date. Because my home here in Dover is still not ready, I was not able to accept delivery, but could not get the movers to understand that. At 9.00 a.m. Saturday morning, I got a call from the driver. He was one hour away from Dover. In a panic, I went to Public Storage in Dover. Tiffany and Liz were very helpful in finding the right size unit, getting the paperwork done, and showing me how the gate works. I really appreciate their support on such short notice. I would like to commend this business for the great customer service it provided to my daughter and I.We had the unit for 4 months and the young ladies were more than accommodating for the time we occupied the unit. When we first moved in they welcomed us through email and was equally courteous at the storage facility. I would recommend this place of business because of the GREAT customer service which is a number ONE asset and for the cleanness and the hours, lightning of the units inside and out. Staff knows their business. Not only friendly and helpful, but I was in and taken care of, after a tour of my storage unit, quickly and with everything I needed. I am moving out of state and I feel so much better with the staff and security having to store my things while gone. Service is not around much any more, thank you!! I would like to add that I compared Public Storage after visiting three other competitors who did not get that moving and storing etc. is very stressful. **Updating my review after seeing the unprofessional response from owner**…read more 1 star because it's the lowest I can give. Thumbtack said $120 per hour which was the only reason I booked this company. I also submitted photos of all FIVE pieces that needed moving along with a description of what everything was and that it was coming from the top floor of a townhouse, which the app stated I would receive an updated estimate of it were to be different than the $120 as advertised. Days go by, my estimate never changed but when they showed up, he said $350..... so less than 2 hours of work somehow became $350 worth but was advertised as $120 per hour. I was very thorough with my description of the job so I should have been notified in advance that the rate online would be nowhere near what he was planning to charge. This was the first issue. The second issue being that he scratched the hell out of one of my dressers! Didn't say anything, just scratched it up, left and I saw it after I already wasted my money. The third issue is he asked MY permission to take a picture with ME and post it. I gave permission, however, he proceeded to post a whole video showing many things in my dad's house, stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with the move that they never laid a hand on and worst of all, a drive by of the house. My dad is livid this man shared things that had absolutely nothing to do with the move (FALSE ADVERTISING) and HE did not give permission to post his house on instagram and/or belongings in it. The owner presented it as he was interested in a few pieces my dad had build and just wanted a picture of them. Never stated he would be posting his stuff on instagram. My dad does not do instagram, he doesn't do advertising the wrong rate and he definitely doesn't appreciate the unprofessional, nasty response this man left on my other review (which I left a picture of his response attached to this review) Finally, my dad asked them to move something from his basement to garage. I asked him not to and he asked movers anyway. Should have said no if you did not want to move it. No need to be nasty in your reply to my review, lying saying you moved it to a different residence when you didn't. You don't seem to be a very truthful person based on my experience with you and rather than an appropriate response to the review, you proceeded to show who you are, as well as the private message you sent me. Moral of the story is I would not recommend this unprofessional business to anyone because he changed the rate yet had pictures and description of the entire job and should have updated the estimate or declined, scratched up my furniture, posted things he didn't have permission for and then showed his nasty attitude when I simply shared my bad experience with him and his company. Please learn from this experience and try to be more professional with your future jobs and don't private message a dissatisfied customer a gross message that they could very well share with their review as well.
