There are two things a customer pays for at a storage unit. 1) That the building remain standing. and 2) That they have access to the things they are storing inside their unit. Apparently Public Storage doesn't give two sh**s about the second item. I arrived today to get some things out of storage I needed for a job, and I found the outside doors had new combination locks installed. I had never been given a code. I went to the office, well before closing time, and found that it was locked and no one was inside. I tried to get help from the online place you can anymore, a chat bot. And while I was eventually transferred to a person, they had no records of what the codes were either. One of the ONLY things I pay for is access to my things, and they failed at that very simple service. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

This PS is easy to access and the unit I rented was clean when I arrived the first time. Nate was helpful on the phone and helped me after I made a mistake on line so I got what I needed. Do NOT DO NOT use this place!!!! Their staff is rude and egotistical and they will up your rent at any moments notice for NO reason jus cause they can!..... Celia, the manager, is the saving grace of this property. She is probably the single biggest reason I'm still there. She's one of the best I've ever experienced in customer service. The safety and upkeep of the property are excellent. However, the ever-increasing price hikes, are forcing me to look at other opportunities. Not sure how much longer I can last there because of those. read more

If I could give 0 stars i would . Had my unit broken into. 20 years of a collection gone ! Called police and and filed a report. Apparently this is something that has been going on for a while. Terrible!! Liars, thieves, dirty and smelly! They will get their money NO MATTER WHAT! The $1 move in is a scam. No matter what unit you get the $1 just doesn't apply to that one. The Insurance is a scam. Move out a few days into a new month and you get charged a FULL MONTH! Not prorated as it should be. Late fees no matter when you pay. The best was every few months your fee is raised!! Started out at $125 my last payment was $182. Always insurance and fees. Scammers and thieves. The operators are mostly unfriendly, dirty and all around grouchy people. By far the WORST storage place I've ever used. read more

In the first place, it's true that they steadily raise your rates over time . I can live with that - everything in Denver has skyrocketed. But then they cut the hours you have access to your unit. They are only open now until 6:00 and 5:00 on the weekends. Compared to other storage places this is outrageous, Come on, Public Storage, people have jobs and don't get off work until then. read more

They make you pay insurance, but if your unit is broken into the insurance is useless without photos and documentation. They know that no one has that; imagine having receipts for something form 15 years ago. What a racket - you pay for insurance in which no claims are paid. What's key is that they don't explain this to you in advance. It would ruin the scheme. read more

This place is terrible. They take no responsibility for the things you store. I rented from here for two years and then my storage locker was broken into. They only have a small fence protecting the property and so they have no way to catch the thieves. They have done nothing to rectify the situation and the manager has been very hard to work with. I was out of state for work when it happened so I could not travel back to CO to check what had been taken for 4 months. They continued to charge me the same rate for the few invaluables the thieves had left behind. They also stated they would charge me for the entire month because I was coming the second week of the month to collect my things. They had no pity on me even though their company is the one that did not provide the proper security stop the theft or find them after. They just told me to contact the insurance I had put on the locker even though most of what was taken was sentimental. YOU ARE BETTER OFF LEAVING YOUR STUFF IN A BOX ON THE STREET.
