The only thing missing was a cylindrical lock which I paid for in advance and the website stated that "the lock would be inside the unit". It was not. My guess is it was after office hours and I will return tomorrow to get the lock from the Manager. The facility is very clean and looks well maintained. So far, so good. If the rates go up too much, I will move my things again. I did not mind paying for four months up front in order to get the better monthly rate. Hopefully, this will be a better situation since my last storage unit did NOT have an onsite manager or manned office. Everything was done remotely and I could not justify the cost for zero service. I would rent from Extra Space Storage before any Public Storage Facility.

I finished offloading no thanks to her, at 1:40 I got a call from corporate lol it was the confrontational crazy lady at this point I'm wondering how did she get my personal number. Saying that I'm banned from the facility and that if I showed up again cops would be called. There's cameras all over the place I did nothing wrong unless if asking for a business card or propping a storage door to bring in heavy furniture is a crime. Wow I'm still shocked that she went above and beyond to harass me but not to make the move into there storage easier.

We rented the unit through their website which was very easy. When I went to the office to get the unit number I was greeted by John who is incredibly nice, knowledgable and extremely helpful. Unlike our other unit this unit is caged off at about 8' so we needed to get a larger unit which was no hassle to do at all. We were still saving A LOT of money. John and the prices of the units are what make this storage facility the best one in Fort Myers, Florida!

After 5 days it becomes 100 dollars and they turn off the pay by bank feature so you can only pay by card which adds a 20 dollars convenience fee. If you pay 30 days late on top of the fees added you have to pay an addition 110 dollar lien fee. I have been there for years before they became Cubesmart. The owner and staff then were some cool people and they would work with you if something happened. Cubesmart is just some greedy conglomerate that just wants more money.

We are now up to $504 @month for a 10 X 20 drive up which is robbery. They have made many mistakes. They wanted to gain access several years ago to "paint" the units. There was nothing to paint. Just aluminum walls remain. So, they removed the cylindrical locks and never replaced them. Then, after the last big Hurricane, they contacted everyone and said that there was water and mud damage and had to gain access again. There was no damage but lots of stuff was missing. I did not pursue it. When they removed the cylindrical locks, we had to replace it with a standard padlock and key. They put their own temporary lock on it until I was able to replace it. They used to have a resident manager who is no longer living there and the office is no longer manned. Everything is done remotely. I should have removed my things a long time ago and am finally doing something in order to get my things into a more reasonable storage up the road. There seems to be poor regional management and I am not impressed with the way that they run their business. For a time, they were inconveniencing me because I was living and working overseas and felt that they were not reliable or understanding about my inability to return to this location to fulfill their requests to change locks, "paint" and "Hurricane" damage which did not exist. At one point, their regional manager called my "emergency contact" without contacting me first. For the record, I have never been late with payment and in recent years used "auto pay". This location needs to get it together and run it with customer service in mind. I am now paying a fraction of the rental price with their competitor up the road. $504 @ month is not sustainable for anyone. I just notified their "chat line" of my intention to vacate the premises and was offered a $100 @ month discount. Even $404 @ month is way out of line for this storage location. I would not recommend this location at these rates. I think they are disorganized and lacking managerial oversight. I wish I could stay but it is not cost effective.

The staff has been always helpful and kind and I've received great customer support. I have NEVER seen bugs or felt that my things were at any kind of risk in the unit. The facility is clean and tidy. They have a large garage door for easy ingress/egress for your things and carts to help transport from your car or unit. I've always felt that the cost was reasonable and now with me closing my unit down, have received personable service and assistance in the close out. As a 30 plus year resident of Ft Myers, I can give them my highest recommendation and love this family owned business.

She asked all the important questions and provided me with key points of information that would be helpful for the move . She was also able to give me an approximate estimate regarding the timeframe and cost of the move. The day before the move, I was contacted for confirmation. Reed's provided my high-rise condominium with their Certificate Of Insurance . I was contacted by the crew 10 minutes prior to their arrival to let me know that they were on their way. Raz and Calvin arrived promptly at 8 am . They securely wrapped all my furniture and kyak and transported them to our new condo in a timely manner. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism and service.
