On site, Tatiana was very helpful with all the administrative tasks and setting up auto-payment. The site itself appears well kept and secure. You need a pin (or the app) to access the elevator. There's ample parking outside and some inside, which is closer to the elevators. Our moving truck was able to fit. I had a break in on my unit today... the place needs better security but I have to say that Chrissy at the front desk helped me out a lot during this situation. She was very good with her understanding and compassion and did everything she could to make a horrible situation better. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEAD. Politeness is not customer service, it is common curtesy. Doing a job is not customer service, it is mandatory for compensation based on an employee/employer agreement. Customer service is not telling a customer that a system is the cause of not being able to take action. Otherwise, we need to only rely on technology and robots without the use of humans. Actual customer service should supersede a system because a human is suppose to recognize and do what a system cannot. This location does not understand this concept, but are they blameless because many other places also lack this ability? To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Customer service is what rights wrongs but when it is not exercised, what remains in lasting form is only the wrong that was committed. The system is set up to always win, and will fail the customer if it is followed without regard to human error. Humans should have the basic compassion to manually correct human and system errors. We need more than just robots in electronic and flesh form. Public Storage, thanks for asking how I really feel, because regardless of whether you care or not... this will be stated: you need to do better. Stop using people robots for calls and email. Have genuine customer service in place at your locations. Be able to take proper action that benefits the customer too. Customers are what make a business, so do not do them wrong just because you are a larger company. There's enough trash out here. Believe me, it is not too difficult and is better for business and average business ratings. All I kindly asked several (more than once) times is for basic customer service to be exercised for something that your company did wrong, not even me! and that was simply too complicated for your robot system or robot humans to recognize. I am bereaved at the loss of customer service as a whole in this modern time and the proof was displayed from this past week through your company, Public Storage. I would ask you to "take action", but that would likely overload your system of robots because they will not understand what that means. What a useless battle this has been. I really liked the speed and ease of acquiring a storage unit; and the location is maintained well. However, I did not appreciate their random price increase. My rent for a 10x15 climate-controlled space was $263 a month. After just four months - not even coinciding with a new year - they raised the price to $336 - an almost 28% increase! I think they recognized the increased rate was excessive because for the first month with the increase, they gave me "$47 account credit... for being a valued customer" but it made me prioritize moving my things at my first opportunity (at the end of the 8th month). read more

And NO I wasn't on a special rate plan, I got one month free upfront which allowed me to rent the truck and pay some kids to assist me, partially handicapped. Now I have to move AGAIN. Just know this is what they all do, Bait and Switch(ish). Unfortunately the electricity went out twice while I drove almost an hour to get there, and never could access my unit. One last thing I've had to move things with a messed up leg. I fell inside my storage since lights dont stay on long. Trying to get to hallway to get them to come on I tripped on boxes it was dark I messed up my knee, hand, forehead and cheek even was bruised. Scabs on my knees and a my bone is like a lump you can see bruised also. But they say they have well lit facilities that's a lie. Lights are old and dim. Dirty and cloudy and it's poor lighting. One last thing. The guy that I knew and having a fling with chick at front desk well he and i no longer speak. He shows up with a cart mind you and not sure how since we can only get carts by leaving our lic. Well I'm sure she gave him one. He stands in front of my locker all my things in hallway i could not get him to leave. Stupid me goes to try and get help he takes my cash box 1000 dollars and I'm watching him come in the building he walked down emergency doors and the chick he dates standing watching him as I'm yelling call the cops nope she would not i hit him with my phone trying to stop him from leaving he takes my phone 1000 dollars gets in his truck and drives out with her watching. She never called the cops they lock office door and go inside and stuff their faces it was lunch time. How do you like this place? Today and yesterday and days before I've been begging I mean begging for a call from DM I need another day. NO CALLS THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT. I had no choice than to contact an attorney I have known since I was 16 and asked him for advice and representation. He could not believe what I shared. He listened quietly for over 1 plus hours and all I could here on his end was this is unreal. Or this is mind blowing or abuse and an injustice. Acting in bad faith and Cristina we got you. I can't sleep I'm so upset. Everything I own is inside storage. I have no clothes to wear all in my storage my dad is very Ill not much longer to go stage 4 lung cancer now I have to buy clothes bc i cant get in my storage. Mind you I only owe 103 dollars 44 dollars was applied to my credit I was over charged last month. I have never gotten a written notice or have I ever been so upset that i would need police there after the first. So before the first i did not need police? Weird. They are trying to use more abuse on me and cause more mental anguish and I'm a good person my gripes are legit and i get thrown out. No calls from DM and he is a head game king I cant allow them to treat me like this and feel like I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had to stay with friends because I wanted to end my life I'm a mess and it's a brain tease by the DM. He needs to lose his job. They need new staff and new rules. Have been and continue to be a loyal customer since 2014. Customer service and staff are great. They probably just need one major thing. They need to add cameras in the hallways inside. After 5 years, it looks like a band of thieves came around and burglarized a bunch of units, including mine, by pealing back the top metal mesh above the units. Luckily my stuff was worthless so I just had clean up the mess they left. I ran into another customer nearby and they took the three lcd TVs she had. We walked around and noticed that other units had their top mesh pealed back. We concluded that the band of bad robin hoods went on a buffet of thievery. We reported what happened to the staff and they promptly logged the incident, took pictures of the mesh opening, put in a job request to rectify the top metal mesh opening (fixed the same week), and advised us to file a police report and contact the insurance company (insurance paid with the monthly bill) to file a claim. They also offered if we wanted to, we can move into another similar unit. If they just add cameras watching the hallways, this would probably never have happened or at least have proof of who did it so it can be presented to police. The staff had noted to their superiors to add cameras but it's all up to corporate to approve. Maybe even just add spikes or chicken wire around the top of the units might prevent future break-ins. read more

On May 2nd I checked out their website for rental quotes. They had a 5x5 on the 2nd floor for $52/month and a 5x5 on the 1st floor for $62/month. We decided to pay $10 more per month because we wanted a unit on the first floor. We hate dealing with the elevator. People hold it and sometimes they are slow. I put in my reservation for the $62/month on the 1st floor with a move in date of May 6th. I even got a phone call from someone named Cody to confirm the unit. We went in on May 6th to get our unit and the gentleman said they are fully sold out. I was frustrated and the lady next to him said to check again. He did and there was a bunch of units still available. He then said, what floor would you like? I told him the 1st floor like it says on our reservation. He said there was none available on the 1st floor. I asked what the point of the reservation is if you give the unit to someone else. He said it is first come first serve. I'm sorry - the guy on the phone should have said this. No where on my confirmation email says this either. I then told him how we are only paying for $62/month because it was on the 1st floor and more expensive then the second floor (which they were giving me). He said that I reserved the price and not the unit. If all the units, regardless of the floor, were the same price, I wouldn't care. But I am now paying $10 more per month for something I could have had $10 cheaper per month. I asked for a manager and he provided me with a phone number to a "district manager". BTW - the man and woman had an attitude the whole time. Very rude. Side note - they also don't tell you that you will be charged $20 for their lock and required you to have insurance. We had already bought a lock that would work with any other storage company but doesn't work with them. He handed me the lock and told me to lock it. He expected me to know how it works as he watched me struggle to figure it out and didn't help. Even when I was getting ready to pay, he never mentioned the $20 fee for the lock. I had to read it on my receipt. Since I have dealt with companies like this before I was not going to deal with a "district manager" on giving me the run around. Instead they are going to get a bad review and we are going to look into other properties to keep our belongings. We don't give our hard earned money to companies that have no remorse for their clients. Especially when it is their fault. Don't send me a confirmation saying I have this unit when I really don't. I am giving them 2 stars ONLY because the property itself was clean and they have a place inside to drive up. read more

This is my first time renting a unit with Public Storage. I made the reservation online and visited the office to complete the rental process. Joy, who was working this day, assisted me with everything from providing all the information/keys I needed, walking me to and from my unit and giving smart tips for safety and benefit. I was having an OK day, but Joy is one of those people who not only provides great customer service, but is personable and brightens up your day. To say the least, she was an absolute joy! This location itself seems safe because it is inside a building. The storage units hallways are very clean, including the garage doors. When Joy walked me to my storage unit it was completely clean inside and out. The only thing that could be better is the cleanliness of the elevators, carts and parking lot. Warning, the company is set up to jam you after you're in. Only four months after my move-in I got a rate increase of 15%. That seemed pretty steep in a such a short period, and gave me some concern about the rate trend in the future. I called to question this rate increase, and a very cold, interrupting representative told me the following: 1) My rent is month-to-month, and the company has the right to raise my rate at any time. (Yes, I know that, thank you very much) 2) ALL RENTERS WILL GET AN AUTOMATIC INCREASE 6 MONTHS AFTER MOVE-IN. THIS IS COMPANY POLICY. (Where is that stated in the rental agreement? If that's company policy, might be good to disclose that) 3) NO RENTER CAN HAVE THEIR RATE REDUCED UNTIL AT LEAST ONE YEAR AFTER MOVE-IN. THIS IS COMPANY POLICY. (They can make an increase, but not a reduction on the increase? Hmmmm.) The agent said her "hands are tied," there is nothing she could do. I asked to speak with someone who might have some authority on the matter, and she said she could put in a request and someone would contact me. That has not happened. The fact that this is firm company policy and is not disclosed to you upon signing a rental agreement is disturbing to me, and I find it to be unethical. Furthermore, it shows that they know you're stuck, and they'll take advantage of that. If it were not for this rate gauging issue, I would be very satisfied with the place. read more

I give them zero stars. There's a bunch of reviews on here about theft, believe every word of it. The unit I had was broken into, and valuables were stolen. Police report was filed but they said this happens all the time at this location. They are unable to do anything because the facility doesn't have proper surveillance cameras that capture anything useful. No cameras on any of the floors, only 2 positioned at the loading dock. And when detectives came to retrieve those tapes, wouldn't you know Public Storage staff claimed there was a problem with their system. This place should be shut down. Do not put anything of value into their awful units, because the staff likes to go "shopping" and break into your space. read more

Although girls are great and place is clean, there are NO trashcans, ANYWHERE, and my ultimate complaint is the UNECESSARY RENTAL INCREASE!! I started at a little under $100 for a 5x10 several years ago. Now, I am paying $137, and been denied "Rent Raise Cancellation." Yup, that's what it is called when you call to request them to look at your monthly rental fee increase and it gets denied, which tells me that they DO have a choice in the matter, they just REFUSE to reward customer loyalty with cancellation of rental raise. Currently, a 5x10 is offered for $71, $88 first floor access!! What a slap in the face!! Oh, and they love to remind you that IF you were a first time customer, you could get the lower rate, but since you're not, TOO BAD!! read more
