I have had a unit here for a year. Its impossible to reach someone no one is there daily. You'll have to leave an voicemail and hope that someone get back to you in a decent time before your busy. Felt as if i was on thier time when im paying for an service. Communcation is not great other than that things were fine. read more

We selected this facility because it is closest to our location, but we have never been happy with their service. They are seldom in the office. When we wanted to change units or return locks we had to call and wait for someone to come or set up an appointment to which they were always late. When we tried to load our unit (prime time on a Saturday morning) others had their unit open and items in the hallway which we called to office to handle for us, but no one ever responded to calls or for assistance. Finally, they give you a good rate to start, but within a few months they increase that rate and continue every few months to increase the rates. This place is not good for long time storage, you will constantly be moving your items to avoid ridiculous prices. read more

We were clients of the "Public Storage" facility at 5825 Barker Cypress for the past few years and have since cancelled our rental unit. Reasons: During this time we encountered numerous issues and office run-ins over the continuous rise in rent, facility upkeep; as well as, security and office policies. This afternoon we received a letter stating we owed them for past dues and payments. On 6 July 2021 I was in the office and informed the lady we were cancelling as of the 31 July 2021 and again on 29 July 2021 we informed the office both in person and on the phone of our termination of storage unit upon clearing out. When we contacted the office about the bill we were never given a competent answer as to why they were trying to bill us and given a run-around.. Our advise is to stay away from Public Storage, and if you are a client start looking for a new location to rent from. read more

My experience with pubic storage is complicated. I had wonderful personnel experience with the employees, but horrible experiences with the system of how operations are designed. The payment systems don't allow employees to request a cash refund if a customer pays cash on the same day. Also the system does not offer a receipt of the refund to give to the customer. we attempted to secure storage for a company truck, but the space was too small. There should have been a procedure in place to test the space before a payment is made. I also needed a receipt to turn into our accounting office because the rental was under our company. However, that was not possible as well. Currently, we are still awaiting the credit back to our debit account of which we were not given a specific date as to when it would appear. If it wasn't for the pleasant people who tried their best to help, the system of operations would have made this experience less tolerable. I accredit that to them as a person and not to the company. I hope changes can be made to support the customer service experience when there are challenges such as this. There's room to grow. read more

I wouldn't recommend based on the "free month" that advertise for.. I payed $40 a month ago to move in, with the impression of a "free month", which I paid $1 plus the insurance PLUS a $24 "administration fee", it's not been a full month and it's time to pay again. More my fault for not getting into the fees a little better. But heads up to those looking for a storage unit, because they're definitely gonna get their free month back in other fees... read more

I called numerous storage facilities in the area because I just an RV trailer for camping,every location near me was 150.00 and up for monthly storage parking so I started looking outside of Houston which was cheaper. I drove by the Public Storage on Barker Cypress and called the number, set an appointment and within 7 minutes Maria was calling me. I went in to view the storage and Maria and the other lady there on Saturday were super sweet, helpful, understanding of my needs and assisted me with my needs. They made me feel welcomed and at ease. I am so happy I was able to rent at this location. I would definitely refer this location and a shout out to the beautiful women working for Public Storage! read more

I am highly disappointed in the level of professionalism and service that I received from the manager Alfred. I originally had a reservation at the public storage on HWY 6 but decided to go to a different location due to the units being on the 2nd floor. The manager at HWY 6 location was extremely nice and even helped me find a public storage that could accommodate my requests. It's a shame that public storage has such poor representation at the Barker Cypress location. Alfred will drive customers away. Alfred was extremely rude and unprofessional. He said and I quote "I was going to help you but you are being combative." I was simply asking questions as I was was paying for 2 units although one of them wasn't in my name. He refused to give me the special and was extremely rude. He did the bare minimum in his job. If it wasn't for me having limited time and needing to get my items into storage that day, I would have found another storage unit. read more

I pay good money for this storage because it has a locked gate and cameras. However about a month ago someone tailgated thru the gate in front of the cameras. Cut the lock off and stole a valuable 10' utility trailer. There is only one way in and one way out. The camera can clearly see who took the trailer. PUBLIC storage refuses to watch the recording to see who it was. I don't understand why? Why would you not want to protect your paying customers belongings? Why would you want to let a thief come on your property stealing and not care who it is or try at all to catch them. It's not fair to us as consumers to pay our money expecting reasonable security of our belongings. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE CAMERAS. PUBLIC STORAGE WILL DO NOTHING TO PROTECT YOUR BELONGING. read more

The office staff was pleasant helpful - particularly trainee Destini who showed us around and leased our unit to us. The unit and the facility were clean and appeared to be well maintained. The rental cost seemed comparable to others in the area. There is not a manager that lives on site at this property if that is important to you - but we were okay with that. So far I would recommend using this mini storage. read more
