First the positive: Friendly staff made it easy and quick to obtain a unit. Issues we had: 1. The promised promotional price did not happen, and had to be manually adjusted. 2. Twice the auto-pay stopped when there was a change of monthly rate, (perhaps as a result of the manual adjustments) and we had to receive a courtesy call that our bill was unpaid. 3. Our regular rate of $135 only lasted four months before increasing to $151 for 4 months, then to $205 for six months. Calling them to point out the rapid rise did not result in an adjustment. $269 was the next hike for 9 months before the next jump to $320, at the 25th month, when we finally said enough. 4. A request for a new weather strip at the bottom of the garage door early on took many months, and only after constant agitation was it finally scheduled and completed. The website does not tell you which of the units have large roll-up garage doors and which ones have normal swing doors. If you call to ask for one with a roll up door, you can't get the on-line rate. You have to reserve and then see what you get and ask to switch which is a pain. The units are nice but the asphalt in the parking lot of the location in Merriam, KS is in bad shape. read more

Still, no help. Some Dan guy called with a St. Louis area code, didn't really even apologize for all the issues I had with absolute and utterly being ignored. They would not even remove the late fee for all the crap I had to go through just getting ahold of them. These people do not care about you and they literally lie, AND THEY DON'T CARE. The mssg when you call is a lie- they are not there anywhere near the hours they say they are, they ignore you when you are sitting right there and you told them you were coming. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT GO HERE. ALL it would have taken was a callback for as many mssgs as I left and Lindsey chose not to. We had to move from our current rental unit because they are undergoing renovations. We were able to get a comparable unit at Public Storage for less money. The manager was a great help in getting us a good deal and a nice unit. read more

I am renting a 10x30 unit for roughly $190/mo. If you reserve the unit online, you get a slight discount, and it is really easy to do. I did it on my phone in the parking lot before walking thru the door and they already had my reservation in their system when I went in. The latch only takes a cylinder lock that you have to buy from them unless you already have one, but it's not too much, like $15 or so. Also, they require you to have some form of insurance like home or renters insurance, you can buy the insurance from them starting at $8/mo (which I think covers like $2000 in damages for theft/flood/fire/etc...), or more depending on how much coverage you want. The unit is fine. It's basically a garage with metal siding on the walls. Security seems pretty good. The staff seems friendly and helpful. It only look about 15 minutes to get a unit rented and I had immediate access. The only downsides are: 1 - each building is about 4ft lower in elevation than the adjacent building, and there is only about 6 - 8 feet between them so there are weird and very steep elevation changes in the access drives, so it would be a pain driving around in there with large trailer or something. 2 - the keypad when you exit isn't in a convenient location, you either have to get out of your car to type in the code so the gate will raise or maneuver your vehicle with a series of forwards and reverses to get into position to type in the code, then back up before you drive thru the gate. The units are not temp controlled, but for these prices you shouldn't expect that. You can pay online with check or card and can setup autopay which is nice. All that said, the price seems fair compared to other storage facilities I looked at. read more

I rented this space in mid of a month so my first payment was prorated, by the time my first full payment was due they had already raised the price on me. I signed up for this at $99 dollars a month and now those payments have nearly doubled, I've been stuck paying it because it costs me SOOO much to keep paying I never get a chance to save money to get my stuff out. read more
