I came here during their office business hours on Sunday to receive in-person assistance about my relative's storage unit. I even called customer service and they said someone should be in the office to assist. I waited half an hour in the heat to receive assistance and no one came! Very disappointed in their service.

DO NOT RENT AT 1755 E MAIN STREET MESA. We have been renting there for two years. I go there during their office business hours every day and there is never anyone in the office or around to answer questions, but its close and convenient so we stayed. Withour any notice they increased the rent on the unit and it cost $100 more. I went into the office to discuss getting a different, less expensive unit and I made four attempts on two different days before someone was actually in the office or on property available. I guess they hired a new manager and he all but screamed at me, refused to answer any questions on the account until I returned with my daughter. He couldn't call her or let me have her call him, she had to return with me. So I did. Then he called someone on his cell phone and put them on speaker for us to speak to? He said it couldn't be resolved and we had to leave????? We have left repeated requests for a return call from the manager, nothing. My daughter is having to go through LinkedIn to get in touch with the regional manager to resolve an issue that after this long shouldn't be an isue at all. This has delayed our plans. We are moving our storage upon resolution. For days I left messages and called cystomer service and have not received an email, text message or return call. DO NOT USE. AVOID. We were here for 8 months and had a 5x10. Unexpectedly and with no warning, they raised our monthly fee by $20 at 6 months. We spoke with the management and they said they had no control over price increases and really had a poor attitude. We learned from other unfortunate renters that they raise all rates every six months and nowhere in their paperwork is that disclosed. That's a 26% increase from your base rate and we had their smallest unit. Additionally, there is no security outside of a security gate and no cameras whatsoever. We moved our stuff out and found a much better company on Recker Rd with full security, a friendlier staff and everything is disclosed in their contracts. read more

BEWARE!!! Do not rent here! The manager Michelle is unprofessional, rude and will charge you illegally after you already moved out. The upper management does not return phone calls. This location and its employees are thieves! There are far better and more professional storage locations. Also be aware your price comes with zero security. They can and will raise your rent every few months. You will thank me read more

I am very satisfied with the friendly and professional service and security measures. They also had a special on the first month of rent for only $1! I went to a storage business closer to my home but they were extremely rude and I would never do business with them. Our unit is clean and very spacious. It was easy to get in with a truck and a trailer, unload and leave. read more

Shirley is awesome & would be the reason why I come back to this exact location. She was very helpful. The cost went up $20 bucks after 6 months so I moved out shortly after but this was the only let down. read more

Sandie was so friendly and helpful. I made a reservation online and Sandie called me immediately to help me confirm my reservation. I was able to come in same day with less than 30 minutes to close to view and sign for the unit. Sandie showed me the unit, how to use the gate, and even offered useful products to ensure my personal positions would be safe though the humidity and dry heat weather coming. Michelle is the property manager and you can tell she takes pride in keeping the units clean. Sandie not only was helpful but also very friendly through the entire process making it fun an easy in a normally stressful time (moving). She even reminded me to stay hydrated while moving during the heat by showing me where I can refill a water bottle on the property. You can tell she works very hard to ensure people stay in their budget, get what they need, and have one less stressful thing to deal with. Thank you so much Sandie! read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back.
