i would not recommend this location to anyone. the only convenience was the price. the office staff is extremely rude and very unprofessional via phone, and even email. It's even almost impossible to get someone on the phone during business hours, they'll call you with no problem, but you getting through to them is wishing on a star! I'm glad I'm only using this place for a short period of time because I'm not sure how much of the unprofessionalism I can tolerate. Saying this to say, you get what you pay for. If you have it to spare, take your money elsewhere if you want to be treated with any form of respect. they only get 2 stars because they were available when I needed, and the price was what I could afford at that time, but if I had the extra to spare I definitely would've chosen elsewhere. read more

Ordered/reserved unit 10x20 get to the location lock on unit I reserved call place have to leave a message waited two hours for someone to come then sent me to another unit it was locked too after three hours I get a smaller unit they charged me the same price said I would be refunded the difference it has been 10 days now rent is due and they are charging me 170 dollars they charged me $168.19 for 10 days never go to this business read more

This storage unit is horrible They are charging me 700.00 for one month rent the fi unit they rented me the door was broken so I had to get a bigger unit they charged me full price for the unit My second month was supposed to be free and I was supposed to get my money back from the first unit they sent me a check for 3.87 and a check for .50 out of 156.00 I had to pay 263.00 for the other unit Now they say I owe 295.00 for October and they locked me out my unit Who pays 700.00 for one month rent No one is willing to help me they keep saying it's nothing they can do I called and went to the storage place and the lady said my first payment was November 1st 2023 I even have the paperwork So please if you need a storage unit don't go to this on public storage takes your money and you get no help at all Even on the door it say 1.00 or first month free I got neither No one will answer your calls and the door is always locked Don't rent in oak park Please go to another storage unit this place don't deserve a star it need to be shut down read more

Customer service was okay but when it comes to monitoring and recording when it comes to what is really going on in the storage unit it's not good you just have random people that come out to the store unit and we'll go into your unit get someone to open up your storage area by breaking into it and this my first time ever witnessing it on 8 Mile and Greenfield they need to do better when it comes to monitoring and recording and also asking questions what's your name do you have any storage here so they can look it up and investigate. The location is convenient. The hours of operation are not posted anywhere on the property. There is no access to your unit after business hours. If you happen to leave after business hours, the company sends you a "courtesy remunder" to leave the premises in a timely manner in future. But there are NO POSTED HOURS of OPERATION on the premises. read more

On Google right now it says they are open until 5:30 but allow access until 9. A lie. Unit was supposed to ready at 9 am but I couldn't get in until after 2. While moving in I cut my finger pretty bad on their door because a piece of the handle broke off jaggedly. It's still there to cut the next person. Find somewhere else if you haven't already moved your stuff in. read more

Moved in, elevator near our unit was broken so circled around to the other side of the building to use the other elevator, which stopped working on us after it was loaded. Had to unload that elevator and walk items up the stairs and back to the other side of building. Made the move in very long and tediouss. The next day received an email complaining about us exiting after closing smh. read more

these low down black ppl sold my belongings for 130 ,i lost my child to homicide and i had to put my belongings into storage due to me falling ill.i had over 20k worth of belongings and all of my big boy funeral belongings,they were waiting to get my belongings,i would say it is o.k but it will truly never be as a dark skinned woman i have been victimized all across the board,i had been with them for a year and they should have known something was wrong whrn they knew i always paid.if you know like i know please find a better professional establishment to store your life.i will be taking legal action as of now this is beyond disbelief shame on this organization and the young women looking for a new come up i pray you all get your karma for the rest of your life.in my opinion they probably knew who killed my son and wanted to stick it to me over the social media foolishness.i hope u all burn in hell.if the person who broght my storage is reading may god bless you with my belongings. read more

horrible! moved in and got a call that the unit below me had water leaking in and that i should check to see if i had damage, came to check and found the lock broken off and several items missing,,and the place torn to peices!!! made a police report..came back after replacing the lock with a lock they gave me and kept a key so that the maintenance could check the leak and found more items missing! but the lock still in place! items were frozen in water to the floor and they all advised me that they could not do anything about the leak until the water on the roof melted which led to more possible damage! they were unbothered and advised me to use my insurance as they had no units open to switch to.....stil in the midst of counting up my losses. never again. read more

My neice and I were having a very hard and stressful day that day. From dealing with a car accident, trying to move and everything in between.
