Two weeks ago someone cut through the mesh ceiling, entered my storage unit through the ceiling, and rummaged around in my belongings. There doesn't ever seem to be an employee at the location, so I reported it at a different location and was told that a district manager would call me. They called once and left a message, but I keep calling back and cannot get them on the phone and they haven't called again. Meanwhile, they also haven't fixed the ceiling, so my unit is not secure. DO NOT RECOMMEND. UPDATE: After calling every day for a week, someone finally called back, but it was a regular worker that said that he was not empowered to do anything. He said that he could write up "my concerns" in an email to the district manager. The district manager was the one supposed to call me. UPDATE 2: I gave up and moved to another storage unit company. A regular worker checked me out and I showed her the gaping hole in the ceiling as the reason why I'm moving. She said that she could let the district manager know, although it is clear that management does not care. AVOID THIS PLACE. Completely unresponsive and un-professional. read more

Currently storing some things at the Public Storage. I reserved our rate online about a month in advance. They are really good with communicating and called me to confirm our move-in date, size, rate, etc. They were also very flexible on our move-in time. We weren't 100% sure what time we would arrive based on the time it was taking to move furniture and they were great about changing our times. When we got there Willie took care of us and he was very personable and explained everything well. The one reason I took a star off is because when we got there he said that there wasn't currently a unit available in the size we had reserved online. It worked out that apparently someone had moved out that morning in the size we needed (and it hadn't been updated in the system yet), so we still got the size we needed. I was just confused as to why the online system let me reserve something that wasn't available-- luckily it all worked out in the end but could have been a headache! read more

I'm sitting here in the parking lot as I type this. I got here today at 5:45pm. They close at 6. I rushed here from work to pay my storage unit that is past due. No one is in the office and hasn't been since I pulled up. I don't get many opportunities to come do this and when I finally do, there is no one here to help me. I am extremely agitated. I went in my unit only to find that all of my brand new furniture was stolen and when I told the front office, I was told that this location was burglarized last year and 280 units were hit but they only notified the unit renters they believe were affected but never sent a courtesy notification to everyone for you to come and check your unit and no explanation was given as to why that was the case. However they have no problem notifying you when that bill is due or they are raising the rent or you're late, no problems there. read more

I have been renting from this Public Storage location for over six months now, and I am very happy with it. The staff in the office are extremely pleasant and attentive to your needs and problems. The lock I had purchased from them when I signed my "lease" ended up being faulty, and they switched it out for a new one without any fuss whatsoever. The facility is tidy and well-maintained, and the people who rent other units there are friendly as well. I have rented from other storage facilities before, and this one is really very top notch. The great customer service by the staff/management really is the icing on the cake. read more

I wish I could give this dump 0 or -1 stars because that's all it would deserve. Reserved a unit last week, then got a call a few days before my move-in day informing me that my rate was increased by almost $50.00!! I haven't even moved into the unit and my rent is already increased! WTF?? I told them, no, I have a RESERVATION at an agreed upon price. I'm told the manager will have to call me after I explained in no way would I pay the higher "bait & switch" price. 3 days later ... no call of course. I call the facility and am told they were busy and they would call me back in 5 minutes. 1 hour ... 2 hours ... 3 hours ... you get the point. I start calling them again like a fool .... 10 calls, 12 calls .... no answer. I call the corporate number ... it redirects the call to the "ghost facility" .... useless. Got to be the worst customer service on top of the fraudulent bait & switch business practice I've run into in 30 years. Made me transform and organize my home so that I can move everything out of 2 storage facilities I rent within this terrible business and self-store in my own home. It's so funny ... in their voice mail (that I had to hear 12 or 15 times), it ends with some idiot saying how much they care about their customers. LOL I always look at the stock prices from publicly traded companies whenever I witness first hand terrible customer service and bad business practices, and SURPRISE, SURPRISE ... Public Storage (NYSE: PSA) is taking a BEATING of late and seems to be in a free fall for the year ... all when the stock market overall is gangbusters. Gawd ... who can figure??? read more

I've rented half a dozen storage lockers from this place over the past decade or so. Used to be a great place, now not so much. First the GOOD: -The business does what they claim; they store your stuff safely in a climate controlled warehouse. Not that this is a difficult thing to do, but I've never had any problems with my stuff being messed up. -Lockers are reasonably priced and usually available in the sizes wanted. Apparently small lockers are in demand at this location so their prices are marked up while larger lockers are discounted. I have a large locker, so this a plus. -Shelly was helpful and nice. The fact that she told me to post this review so she'd get some free gift cards doesn't change that. She really is helpful and nice. -So far so good, except... Now the BAD: -The keypad for opening the gate can't be accessed from the car window when entering. Instead, you have to park right in front of the gate, hop out and run over to the keypad, input the code, then run back and drive through before it closes again. -The staff takes half hour lunch breaks and closes the office when doing so. There are always two people there, and yet they both take lunch at the same time and lock the office. I'll go up to the front door with a notice saying 'back in x minutes', only to see both of them sitting inside chatting away. I would think one could take lunch while the other mans the desk. Shelly has never done this, the office has always been open when she's there. -Access to your items is unavailable in the evening. For most people this isn't a problem, but I work unusual hours and my waking free time is often late at night. I think this is for safety concerns, but the property is gated with good lighting and security cameras, plus the office staff are only there a few hours a day anyway. -Finally the cart situation is ridiculous. This is the single biggest problem with this facility. Moving carts used to be available at all times of day for anybody needing them, now they are kept under lock and key and only available during the brief period of time when the office is open (assuming they haven't gone to lunch). In essence this limits when you can move items to a few hours out of the day, specifically the times when most people are working. Moving things from your car, through the lobby, into an elevator, down several aisles, and finally into your locker is exhausting without a cart. Even if the office is open you aren't allowed to use the door connecting it to the storage area. So you have to walk around to the office, fill out a form, get a key to a cart, enter the gate code and wait for it to open (while standing in the middle of the road), then finally enter the lobby and unlock your cart. Don't forget to keep the lock with you or you'll be charged for it. This seems like the kind of decision that is made at the corporate level by people who have never actually had to move or store anything themselves. Apparently its done to prevent losses from the occasional cart theft, but it is a huge inconvenience. I don't understand how people can steal them when there are cameras everywhere, especially by the loading docks. Shelly agrees that it is a stupid policy implemented by corporate, in fact she has tried to bend the rules to help out customers. She would provide you with a cart key after hours as long as you called ahead, and she brought in her own cart for people to use. Despite the fact that the carts are so precious they have to be locked up 24/7, this cart has remained at the facility unguarded for months. Apparently these policies had to be discontinued recently. Thanks anyway Shelly. In conclusion, if you need to store stuff, love tedious manual labor that is more difficult than it needs to be, or have plenty of free time on weekdays, this is the facility for you. read more
