I could not be more pleased with the interaction we had today, as I decided to stop in merely to see what's available. Instead of a dry cut-to-the chase experience, I got a person who was ready to share their inner light with me through the simple gift of conversation. The world needs more people like Alma and I hope Public Storage realizes it because they have a gem on their hands. She could be designing clothes for the highest corners of the world but instead she is here, helping the little people like me make more sense of their lives. This year I experienced heartache & divorce, which led to depression, loss of self and losing my job. With no income I had no choice but to sell my house and will be moving into a friends office temporarily until I can get back on my feet. This used to be a great business! The new owners or property managers are AWFUL and don't appear to be on site ever, including during business hours weekdays or Saturdays. I was locked out twice- left a message, heard nothing the first time this happened, got a very rude call back 60 minutes later the second time this happened. Do not go to property unless you have the gate code, and don't expect anyone to have the office opened either, even if it's M-F 9-5. I also use Pink's Storage in Monrovia- go there if you want great service, friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. We used this place because we needed a storage unit fast. grade F read more

My wife and I had trouble getting a of another Public Storage location off Colorado and Daisy. Can never get a hold of that location. We went to the Public Storage on Foothill and Halstead and were greeted by Alma. She was Fantastic. Extremely helpful and courteous. She took care of our needs in less than 15 minutes. This is a convenient location, easy to get in and out of. I rented here partly for the availability and partly because Alma at the front desk was super helpful and getting what I needed. I would've given five stars except the part where it said I would get a dollar for the first month and that didn't happen because everybody's getting storage units right now due to Covid. Darn Covid. The hours are 6 AM to 9 PM that you can access your unit, which is many more hours than some of the other local locations. That makes it super convenient for me. read more

This place is run by thieves. I paid for my unit less than a week ago and have been locked out twice They force you to purchase one of their locks they have the ability to lock on you and don't know how to use a phone. The district manager doesn't answer his phone when he locks your unit requesting a call. How odd when they require a phone call their apparently broken phalanges cAnt dial a phone themselves. I expect this thieving company to reimburse my time coming to their thieving unit they lock you out of. Oh and it's a bait and switch they advertise $1 move in and don't tell you, they're going to force you to buy insurance thru a company they do biz with not one of your choice. I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB right after this post. Spoke to David on the phone who has a great sense of humor when it was much needed. He's extremely knowledgeable and helped me secure a local affordable storage solution. Sadly corporate executives like every other company these days are a bunch of crooked thieves who charge extra for forced fees and insurance. Hope this business and its executives who are probably overpaid like all others who don't do a lick of work, rot in hell or happen to be in the nice earth opening of an earthquake. This is a small facility where the storage units look like a small carport garage thing. Helping friends move their things here when the house ready as a temporary location and coming back for these items. We pulled the right up to the door. It was the quickest unload and load I've ever helped with. The check out process seemed to have taken longer. read more

I've dealt with several Storage sites before, and this is by far the best. Two other storage sites I considered had flights of stairs needed to get to your space, and even rickety fences to replace ceilings... This one absolutely out-shined them all. This Public Storage is very affordable, yet efficiency ran. The units themselves are easy to navigate, secure, and well lit. Been renting here for about 2 years. I have the only outside storage where homeless people sleep directly in front of. Every time I show up after the business is closed to go to my storage to drop off a motorcycle (as I store them frequently) I run into these bums camped out in front of my storage. I told the property manager about it and he said that I have to call the cops and have them deal with them. This place is ridiculous and the people working there including the district manager don't give a rats ass about anything including trash. Stay away from this business. They are checking the locks every day and they call you immediately if you don't lock your storage area. They really care about your stuff. Some time last year, somebody broke into the empty storage next to mine, smashed the wall to my area and went into my place. The manager called me as soon as they found out and they were very helpful, but they had no cameras and had no idea, if something was taken out at all. I thought they would have cameras all over the whole place where they can check what's going on. Fortunately nothing was stolen, but I had to take my whole stuff out and clean everything, check that everything was still there and put it back in, all in all I spend a whole day there. I got a month free rent, which is ok for all the trouble I had. read more

I needed a place to store my car while I was out ouf the country for two weeks. A quick call to public storage connected me to a rep who pointed me to this place based on my location and storage needs. After gathering a bit of personal info, my reservation was forwarded to the office which was expecting me upon my arrival 5 minutes later. There I met with Christine, who gave me a tour of the facilities and handled my paperwork. Throughout the process she was very friendly, explained everything in detail and was very accommodating to my needs. The check-out process was actually even faster than the check-in process, as you can do everything online and it took me no more than 3 minutes. Very efficient and upfront. I like! read more

Last time I wrote, I was disgusted that Public Storage had raised the rent on my storage unit after just six months. One year later, you guessed it-- ANOTHER rent increase! Twice in 18 months!! From $130 to $180, an increase of nearly 40%. Just before I got the second increase notice, I decided to rent a smaller, additional unit temporarily, for something that I needed to store for just one month. I was shown two units (same size and price), and I rejected the first one and agreed to rent the second one. I filled out the contract, paid the rent and administrative fee, put my lock on the unit, and left. Fifteen minutes later, I got a call from the person who rented it to me. She said that she had accidently put the number of the unit I DIDN'T want on the contract. She said that if I would come back, she would fix it. Then she called again and said that the computer wouldn't give me that unit for the price I'd been quoted, so if I still wanted that unit, I could have it, but I was going to have to pay $30 more per month! I objected, and she said that she would ask her DM if she could give it to me for the price I'd been quoted and, I thought, signed a contract on, but she didn't think he would let her change it. I promptly went home, looked online, and found a much better deal elsewhere. In fact, I found a deal so much better on a huge unit, that I called and said that I not only wouldn't rent the small unit from them, I was giving notice on my other unit, as well! The manager informed me that once they'd charged my credit card for a unit, there were no refunds (even though the contract didn't reflect what I'd agreed to)! I sent a certified letter stating my intention to void the contract, which the State of California gives me the right to do within 3 days. After a lot of back and forth, they finally gave me a refund. And then... THEY SENT IT TO A COLLECTION AGENCY!! They eventually cancelled the collection, but I still wasted a bunch of my time trying to straighten it out! The bottom line: I WILL NEVER, EVER RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE AGAIN!! Note: I want to be clear that the problems I've had with Public Storage do not reflect on Lorraine, who has been great! read more
