I booked a storage locker at 2190 Wheatsheaf. Josh, who worked on 7/26/24, provided exceptional service. He assisted us in upgrading to a larger locker once we realized our original choice was too small. His help really gave my 71-year-old mother peace of mind. He gave us a tour and provided a lot of useful information. The service is good, although the price is a little high. Our 10x10 locker costs about $198.00 per month. My problem with Public Storage was not with the unit or the price. My problem was with the management who as not on site.The facility opens at 9:40 I arrived at 9:50 to ay for a second unit and the doors were locked after waiting for over an hour ND watching 2 others come and go because they were not open 2workers from Delaware came and walked me through the process . They were very helpful and very apologetic about the facility being locked. read more

During these trying times of a Pandemic, this Location has been impossible with allowing for electronic communications and signing of documents electronically. The problem is I don't need and or want there insurance and when the unit was rented, I declined insurance. Their system was down and I wasn't able to sign rejection of insurance. I work a lot, I'm an essential employee and live in care giver; I cannot expose myself, my elderly and other immunodeficiency people I service to the public...only when necessary. They refused to email, mail and or allow my husband to pick up documents, so I could sign them. They have threatened and followed through with putting a lock, over my lock, until I sign rejection of insurance. Sad part is, when I had an opportunity to swing past and sign, they were closed, before they were supposed to be closed. So now, I want to close my account and they still refuse to remove the lock. Now, that I don't want to do business with them and will be closing my original unit of 3 years almost too, my husband can pick up the papers for me to sign. SMH. Good customer lost read more

Each time I've been here there has been a small child (maybe around 10) riding a dirt bike around the lot, no helmet, speeding around, not checking corners, and putting himself and other drivers at risk. This is incredibly dangerous behavior, and a huge insurance liability. It is hugely discourteous to other patrons to allow this behavior. When the desk attendant was approached about this issue, she acted as if she didn't care (and also had no idea what a huge insurance risk this is for the property she is monitoring). I would hugely advise against storing property here. read more

The staff or store manager was not accommodating during the initial quarantine and put a PAD LOCK on a unit just to assert her biased behavior. The unit wasn't late, past due or anything of that nature. What the problem was, their computer was down prior to lockdown, I couldn't sign the documents at that time. I'm live in caregiver and during lockdown it wasn't easy for me. I asked the person to email it to me. She insisted she couldn't...BUT COULD...didn't want to. So I closed down my business account with them. And now at end of year I'll finally will be done with them for good. Horrible facility and RUDE female front manager. No interpersonal skills, not people skills and here the customer is bullied. read more

Do not buy their padlocks! I asked if the keys could be copied so other people could access the unit. They said yes but when I go to Lowes, Home Depot & Ace & they tell me to go to a locksmith. Ok so when I try to return the padlocks, they're not returnable & all the employees denied saying that the keys could be copied! Wasted my time & money! I had no idea how complicated it is to rent a storage locker. I thought you just hand over $25 and start loading your shit into a space. Not the case at all. Thankfully the staff here was very helpful and friendly during this experience. I was actually shocked at how expensive these things are to rent. For the second smallest one I'm paying $117/month. But apparently that is indeed the industry standard. I was surprised that my rental actually qualified for the $1 first month's rent deal. I was fully expecting a bait and switch situation and was pleasantly surprised when that did not happen. My only suggestion is that hand trucks be kept in the individual buildings. I'd have to walk about a half mile with a hand truck wheeling all my worldly possessions through the labyrinth if I utilized one. What a better world it would be if I could just pull up my car to my building and enjoy the ease of a readily available hand truck. Think about it. read more

I rented a storage unit on Saturday, February 13, 2016. The moment I arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. Jazmin assisted us with the tour of the unit and the necessary paperwork involved. She informed us about the insurance, cost and hours of operation. I am very happy with the cleanliness and safety of the unit. I first reserved it online without any difficulty or issues. The unit is the correct size for our items from cleaning out the garage and attic for the purpose of selling out current home. I would highly recommend this public storage location. it was easily accessible to our home. The units are clean, hallways well lit and floors are clean. No smell and the inside units are heated and cooled. I am completely satisfied with the choice. Thanks! read more
