Whoever gave more than 1 Star was either a paid reviewer or an employee. This place is a complete rip off. My unit was burglarized and I was never even notified. I found out when I went to move my stuff out and they had one of their locks on my unit. Then she said "oh yeah, your lock was tampered with". Not only did they act like it was no big deal, they didn't even know which LAPD division I needed to call. Once I figured out which division and the police arrived, they told me that this facility was burglarized all the time and they suspected the employees were in on it. The officers also told me that only 2 of the cameras in the whole facility worked, all the other ones were fakes. This place overpriced. The service was horrible and you have a good chance of having you property stolen. I would avoid this Public Storage at all cost. read more

This was the best storage experience I've ever had and I move alot!! I walked in and Spoke with Brandon, He was great, Informative, and very helpful. We jumped in the Golf cart and he showed me were the empty units were, that was the size i was looking for. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. All the Units are drive up which is super convenient as well as the hours of operation. Most storage units close at 6 pm or even 5, but their units are open until 9pm which is super convenient. We went back to the office and in less than 5 minutes i Was out the door!!! He even looked up to see if there were any discounts he could give me. and Turns out i did get the first month for only a dollar. No BS no Upfront blah blah blah, just 1 dollar and I start paying for the unit next month. I will recommend this public storage to anyone especially if your looking in the San Fernando valley. This particular PS has the cheapest rates in the area. However, I reserved a storage unit and they rented it when it was reserved for me! After that they wrongfully charged me added fees after paying in full online and kept carrying over the balance which I wasn't aware of and wrongfully charged. Then they locked me out of my storage although I was paid current each month costing me a sale and a client when I was unable to retrieve something from my storage! When I complained they blamed it on the manager and offered to replace my lock they cut off my unit and nothing more! They raise prices every 6 months to more than units rent for and I have had continual billing issues the entire time! read more

Avoid this place! Very poor customer service. When you have a problem, they're not helpful. They also do not send out bills or emails for payment reminders, so you get hit with late penalties. Save yourself frustrations and find a different storage location. read more

Got a yelp account just to let people know this is not where you want to store your car or rv. I have been storing my travel trailer here for about a year and have had minor issues throughout the year. Things like having gum and banana peels put on my rv to people urinating by/on my rv. I got a small dent and tar on my rv when they repaved the lot. I even found a bag of feces once next to the trailer. Looking back, I should have chosen a different location a long time ago. Anyways, today I found out someone smashed one of my windows and had stolen the batteries to the trailer. Management looked over the video but the quality was incredibly poor at night. I saw the video and it just looks like a black screen. You can't see a thing. Of course the place isn't liable for any damage but whats the point of paying all this money if I don't get any security. I might as well park it on the street. Also, there seemed to always be some sketchy people just chilling by their storage units. More so than the usual storage depot (I am renting a unit at another place so I know these places attract creeps but this public storage seems to have an excess) Anyways, I would never recommend this place especially if you are storing a car/rv. Would have been 1 star but the management seemed nice enough. I mean there is only so much they can do. This location just isn't safe. read more

It was hot and it was a last minute thing and I needed a storage NOW ... I did a quick search on my iPhone for the nearest public storage.I checked to see if they had the desired accommodations, (sigh) they did. It took 1min.to fill out the reservation form online and locked in a sufficient space. Loaded up my truck in the blazing heat. Took me a couple hours when I arrived just before closing around 5 o'clock A young man by the name of Jimmy was there to chauffeur me around in a golf cart and show me the available spaces in the sizes that I was looking for.He was very courteous and personable while he showed me around the facility. I ended up getting a different one than I reserved because the deal they offered me was so killer I could afford a larger one. It's a perfect space. He quickly checked me in. I signed a couple of things and right about then I got my second wind and the rest is history thank you Jimmy & Public Storage !!!!. read more

As most others have mentioned, this place is burglarized ALL THE TIME. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT store your things here! I moved my belongings into a 5x10 unit here and a week and a half later I came back to place a few more things in my unit and saw my lock had been cut and approximately $1,300 worth of my belongings had been stolen. When I talked to the front desk, they seemed extremely apathetic to my situation and just gave me some numbers to call. When the police came they told me the units here get broken into constantly and there was a very slim chance I'd get my stuff back. When I asked to go through security tapes, they told me they were virtually useless, as the cameras don't even face the correct way and they're too blurry to actually help. USELESS. A call the the district manager, Tom, has gone unanswered. I'm moving my things out immediately and suggest you never use this facility in the first place! read more

We had to rent a storage unit for work and this was the closest location to us. They were absolutely great! Irma helped me numerous times. We had to keep pushing back our reservation because of our delivery but they were totally understanding. We also then had our product delivered without warning and they were SO helpful -they had the UPS guy just start dropping off (72!) boxes outside our unit, so by the time I showed up I was able to sign for it and load it in our unit. I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone! read more

I've been renting at least one (up to 3 at times) storage unit at this Storage facility for over 25 years. The staff here is awesome, especially Irma. I was a couple of days late for the first time, and she recommended calling corporate and asking for a waiver of the $129 late fee, and the nice gentleman at corporate waived it immediately as a courtesy to a very good and long time customer. No security Cameras and very poor lighting. Manager is a helpful and listens. but property needs upgrades. They had bought this storage property from an other A1 storage and haven't upgraded it - just painted it and changed name. So needs lots of work like security cameras and lighting's etc read more

Turn around and go to another storage vendor. I was a customer for several years and should of cut the stay shorter. I first rented at the site via the original family who owned the business, then it got sold to PS. Big mistake. They made a big deal of painting the doors orange and property "upgrades." Big deal. It did not make up for the unprofessional, rude, sarcastic treatment by the district manager on the phone and in person. Yes, he was that bad. He didn't care that I spent $$$$ in rental fees. PS changed the good staff that was there before. Big mistake. I would never recommend PS to anyone (personal or professional). The "upgraded" fence is a farce because when you punch in your access codes, somebody comes in before you or after you... part of the agreement you signed is you can be the only one coming in via the access code. Big fail. The staff doesn't do anything about that either. read more

irma and jimmy at public storage on san fernando in sun valley make it a really special place. they make you feel like they know you and they're glad to help. the process is easy and the service is friendly and efficient! we have been at this location for over a year and just moved to a bigger unit so i can hoard more stuff;) the prices at this particular location make it an easy choice. i highly recommend! read more
