Don't fall for their online specials. I rented a unit for $140.00 a month. After three payments they raised the rent to $210 a month. They said " that is what similar units go for." I went to there website and they were still advertising the same size unit for $149.00. This leads me to believe this is a classic "bait and switch" scheme. Buyer beware. read more

I am still new to the Friendswood area, but after two years I found myself in need of some extra storage. I found this location online and their online setup made getting a good space at a great price really convenient. As life would have, when I went to move in I had a brain fart and found myself in need of assistance. But it was after hours when I just happened to catch the manager going for the night. Instead of turning me away, she grabbed her keys and quickly addressed my need. Thank you for being there for me. The Lee's read more

The Storage faculty at 3500 FM 528 Friendswood TX was great. There's ample parking, and the manager Cindy was very helpful. She was pleasant to work with and took care of all questions. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I'm very dissatisfied with the way they just decide to increase the rental price at their own discretion. I rented this unit 2 years ago for $146. They have raised the price on it twice. The rent is now $229. That is over 50%. Moving to LifeStorage next week. read more

Whitney was very helpful and polite upon opening my storage unit It was truly refreshing to witness such a young person whom was completely honest about all costs, no hidden fees no games, she explained everything , it didn't take long . We discussed the next month fee, how it was calculated and she promised me a phone call 2 days before the due date as I don't read my e mail,I did ask her about some of the surrounding Public Storage facilities , as I had bad reviews about them, she only had positive things to say about her company , no negative attitude at all, I LIKE that in a person, although there were certainly less expensive storage facilities, this young lady certainly is the heart of her facility .Sometimes its just worth it to pay a few extra dollars . read more

I was VERY happy with the service of Elisa...She went 110% to help me, even got me 24/7 access. I saved $46 a month over Storage Choice. Would highly recommend it....Very secure place and lots of room to get in and out. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.
